Hey you guys got experience, CIMB when you want to uplift fd to transfer to another bank for "promotion" then they offer you

FD promotion rate to put it back in wif CIMB

so, in this case, they should give me back 3.6% for the campaign rate instead of the revised rate of 3.55%.. i've not check with MBB officer yet, but, i want to know the experience from sifu here...

It seem like MBB didn't honor me the promo rate.. same goes to my friend.. I gonna follow up if they don reply.. seem like I'm like bbgoat case

As I said at the beginning, u should call the branch to find out the reason. But I was curious as yours is online placement. So if it affects you, it may affect those that did the placement the same day/time. Anyway, MBB is the only one has the answer.

Both my 12 month eGIA placements on 20 Oct 2016 got exactly 3.6% interest on 20 Nov 2016.

Good question!!! Here's my take.

It is quite possible that both Mamamia and his friend, and Starry got what the program credits them. How can?  

I put it to you that Starry got 3.6% because the program was not yet updated to 3.55% on 20 November.  

However Mamamia and his friend were too late in the month on 25 November. By that time the server had been updated to 3.55% backdated effective 15 November.  

Of course, I do not expect Maybank to go back and cut what was already creditted and shown in Starry CASA account on 20 November.

So here is another case of good days and bad days for placing FD to consider depending whether trend is up or down!!!

Guys, the xx is 00 - I have confirmed it with their staff at the counter. It's a marketing strategy to attract people's attention.

From what I understand, if the amount is BIG, they are willing to give special rates, probably an addition 0.05-0.1%

UOB just sms-ed me stating that this Saturday 3/12/16 ( 10am - 2pm ), promo FD rates of up to 4%PA ( 12months ). Minimum 10k fresh funds

Just uplifted my GIA fund and place it again today and confirmed the campaign quota has replenished 

online, just like previous e-GIA promo.

I have placed it online (using phone) and checked both in phone browser and app (quick balance). Both shows 3.6%
