yeah spigen is good, looks extremely fine for my friend's s7 edge, after he had cracked his front screen upon first day of use.

my 2cents, as well as recommendations for samsung led view cover or clear view cover, for looks yes, for protection no, i did side by side comparison with tech21 evo wallet, and it more cheaper, decided to use tech21.

Spigen Neohybrid I am waiting. Hope it is good!

samsung led view cover or clear view cover, how is the quality of the material? At least it is covering the scratch prone GG 5 screen for note 7 I guess? Not sure how durable it is...

Will it stick properly? I see many has comment not to use full covered tempered glass..

I'm using with UAG case. The rubber rims of the case able to hold the tempered glass down. so, no flipping or lifting. This tempered glass covers the full curved screen.

X-One is very very pricey - around RM80-90, and you only get 1 piece of SP in the package.

As for ClearCoat, no doubt they have the amazing lifetime warranty and free service. But bear in mind that their installation is not always perfect. I had to re-install ClearCoat three times on my S7 edge as the first two times resulted in bubbles under the screen. Not very cost effective when you have to waste time / petrol / parking fee to go there to get it replaced every time.

*
Yes, X-one consider pricey at RM80! I think one of the most priciest SP around?

At least for ClearCoat, it is free of charge to install. X-one, you really only have ONE chance... haha!

Thanks for the recommendation! With original tpu case, it wouldn't have lifting issue?

So, x-one is still the preferred for front screen? But I guess, just need some trimming in order for it to sit properly without uplifting.
*
it shouldn't be, if its made from samsung personally. most problem were due to 3rd party casing, or using external case, the screen protector will fit for naked use. not too sure yet, because i didnt managed to use it, just managed to get install, rub it a while ok not so rubbery and its smooth, but the chap decided to threw it away, because he knew it will lift, and customers will definitely rage. so he will return and request for 2nd batch. guess we have to wait.

nonetheless, after observing alot phone users, i can conclude most of the users that use flip case, no offense those exposed case protectors, have higher chance to protect their screen regardless being scratched or shattered to piece, this is also the reason why i use tech21, evo wallet, extremely bulky but the grip is no question that it won't slip from the hand, and also can be used as stand for media consumption + magnetic for phone closure.

My Note 7 is so far so good. But the SPen quality, especially on the spring mechanism seems not as solid as on my previous Note 5's SPen. Sort of like Samsung cut costs by using cheaper materials to build it this time around.

However, the phone itself is superb. I'm holding back on the Software Update now since my Note 7 is already smooth enough for my usage. biggrin.gif

Happy to know most experiences user here no issue. I believe it is no issue then. smile.gif

Wait it came now, I hope I can get it end of Sept, 2016. smile.gif

I hope the screen not really that easier scratch, I don't like screen protector. Maybe getting a flip case when I bought the phone.

My own reservation, don't restore from Google backup when setup a new phone - no trouble. I already didn't restore from backup long ago. The only I sync back is contact.

to be honest, for me its kinda flimsy, yes it can cover the front, but you wont get pure protection from the front and sides, as you use for a bumper case,

and to added up, the x-one screen protector for note 7 is not the one that can stand smash and stuff, the x-one screen protectors for edge series like note 7 and s7 edge are prone to be break, so x-one did not came out with those versions that are able to take the hit like advertised. so kindly took that as considerations as well for rm149 front screen protector.

he did, but he's way too excited to get the screen protector fixed without lifting, i dont blame him, as the phone is pretty much to everyone eyes that day. its from samsung store sunway pyramid, from there you can get side by side comparison with the original covers. the sales rep are eager to help. but do not buy screen protector from them, it is rm109. for everything else, you can. accessories should have 10% discount if i not mistaken, not sure it is valid for the pre-order day itself, or now still eligible. you can go check.

Currently the best combination of case and SP is the original accessories from Samsung with the phrase "Designed by Samsung" and it is reasonable too at RM 98 total.

After 2 days configuring the phone, reset, wipe data, partition even flashing using new firmware, the phone failed to boot and sometime stuck in bootloop. I think Note 7 did has hardware issue. Otw to SC for repair....

you can get latest firmware here :-

there are some that are using fine, so no worries, after all, its electronics, you can prone to manufacture defects, so one can just pray so that it wont happen to them, if happens, got no choice just rma. i doubt electronics today are way more quality built compared to previous years. they are using tools to purposely make the screen scratch, but in real life situation no one will do that, so no worries, with flip case, you are somehow secured.

That is a good advice. Meaning to say 3rd party casing combine with screen protector is still the preference.

How is the quality of x-one sp for note 7 or edge series? Just scratch resistant and not any others?

Which sp that u mentioned for RM149?

yes. it all depends on how you use it as well. i think just scratch resistant. rm149 is from x-one, i think they already jack up the price. but the packaging is glossy. i wonder how do you all managed to get for rm80 ish? novacell sunway pyramid sells at rm129 witout discount, subang parade sells at rm119 still can be discounted, gadget access sells at rm129 till i negoed to rm119.

They are good actors. S-Pen stuck in the phone is not new. The design of the S-Pen is flawed in the ejection with spring. It's just not durable. Note 5 already had this same issue. It's the S-Pen itself is just bad design.
*
Not forgetting the quality of the s-pen is not to par. Seems like Samsung cutting cost something hmm.gif
