WORKED FOR ME.... https://www.gottabemobile.com/2016/08/19/ho...-galaxy-note-7/"To reset a frozen Galaxy Note 7 all owners need to do is press and hold down both the power button and volume down simultaneously for 7-10 seconds Push and hold volume down and power at the same time and hold them down until you feel a vibrate and see the Galaxy Note 7 reset. Even if the phone is completely unresponsive this will work. The phone will turn off, reboot and turn back on to full working order. It’s worth noting that some owners may see the device boot into a “safe” maintenance mode if things were really messed up. If so, use volume up/down to navigate to “reboot” and hit power to select that option. Be careful to only reboot the phone, as owners can accidentally do a factory data reset in this menu and erase everything on the Galaxy Note 7. That’s it and you’ve now successfully rebooted a frozen Galaxy Note 7. Any problems or issues that were happening before are likely gone, and it should be working good as new. If not, call your carrier for additional help, or check our Note 5 problems and fixes guide. Most of those tips still apply to the Galaxy Note 7."

QUOTE(N_Silver @ Aug 20 2016, 07:06 PM) I would say so, i faced multiple times for bootloop and hung phone. This solution (power and volume down) provide a solution for force restart the phone. I would use this method till samsung comes with further majority update. 2ndly, I would try to flash using different fw and see how it goes, if the problem persist, it might be the hardware issue.

QUOTE(Roddin @ Aug 20 2016, 08:30 PM) Bro, I didn't have this issue the first day I had it n now I fart also the bloody phone will switch off. Some sites recommend factory booting the phone. But I just noticed that Samsung released a new firmware update on smart switch pd app. Anyone here updated any improvements on this issue? Non, the update doesnt solve the booting issue, i repeat, IT DOES NOT...

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Aug 21 2016, 01:10 AM) So many people complain the phone hang here, I search around didn't seen people comment about this except those people trying to root the phone. XDA only got people mentioned the phone is hang due to root. Any members here phone hang is it naturally it hang or due to root? Most people phone hang before or after the update, ive been reviewing n reading tons of comments, not even malaysia, singapore as well, even other countries in the xda forum. Same problem, random hand, bootloop, frozen..

After 2 days configuring the phone, reset, wipe data, partition even flashing using new firmware, the phone failed to boot and sometime stuck in bootloop. I think Note 7 did has hardware issue. Otw to SC for repair.... you can get latest firmware here :- http://samfirm.net/threads/official-stock-...19-08-2016.102/This post has been edited by afiqsabri: Aug 21 2016, 01:43 PM

QUOTE(YellowHornet @ Aug 21 2016, 11:03 PM) For those who experienced random hang and restarts are you guys using dual sim together with the micro sd card? I had similar issues when on s7 edge but managed to sort it out after adjusting the placement of the second sim or removing the second sim entirely. Tried with a single sim, even with no sim at all, still hang and random freeze, huhu

QUOTE(keny1st @ Aug 23 2016, 01:10 PM) means yours confirm is hardware problem. Yes indeed. But suprisingly, she said the phone was ok yesterday and she played around with the phone with youtube and whatnot. It functioned. Then I restart the pgone in fornt of her. Stuck as usual.

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Aug 23 2016, 01:11 PM) soon? means it's around 1 week or 2 week Unfortunately yes...just use my other phone. I would rather leave it there with mind at peace hopefully will get a new batch/stock. Trying to avoid to go to SC multiple times.
