Whatever it is, for beginners, any Ibanez GRG/GRX will do. If you're an experienced player, avoid the G in front, cause the G stands for GIO Ibanez, which is a lower end range, all GIO series guitars are made in China, but these guitars are good for beginners, as for me, I didn't know about the GIO, I bought a GRG270 and it kinda sux. As for you bro, just grab a Yamaha Pacifica 012 and a Microcube, that would be fine for a beginner.

QUOTE(blacktrix @ Jan 26 2007, 12:01 PM) Yeah! I just buy an ESP, down tune my guitar 3 steps down, just play power chords and no solos! EASY! correction, correction...You have to buy an ESP (not LTD mind you!), detune 3 steps, just play power chords, record a whole bunch of solos... and get all of them axed during production... ...then you can be Kirk Hammett... |

Agreed on the fixed bridge GIO.....
Also agree that a Pacifica is an excellent guitar. Alot of pacifica guitar owners and happy ones at that. If you can find one around 300-400, then go for a pacifica. If not, an SX would suffice. |

QUOTE(blacktrix @ Jan 25 2007, 07:56 PM) More Gain = Covering up your sucky playing better..... ...Rusty Cooley shreds cleanly with a ridiculous amount of gain... ultra-fast 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 string sweeps (take your pick!), 16th note triplet runs at #&*$^ bpm... More Gain + Rocking Wah = No one will notice you play sucky Ridiculous amount of Gain + Rocking Wah * Extremely sucky playing = BlackTriX ...but then again, he's Rusty Cooley... |

Like I said earlier, for beginners, Ibanez Gio's with fix bridges or a Yamaha Pacifica 012 is the best for beginners.
