1050 and 850 is quite a big difference if you're on a budget......

But if possible..... don't use PC speakers...If played with too much overdrive and distortion, will definitely damage the speakers. I know. I tried when I first had my electric guitar (waaaaaaaaaaaay back when Insomniac was released).

The Ibanez package seems decent enough and it's pretty much alright.... guitar, amp, tuner, picks, gig bag...... pretty much everything you need to get started. See if the shop keeper can throw in a free set of strings to go with it.......

Yes...... you can find SX and a Microcube for about the same price..... but then you have to find everything in a separate shop, haggle for better prices and go through the whole process twice. Of course, with the Ibanez, you don't get multi-fx (unlike the tiny Microcube)..... but that means you can always save up for a Multi-FX pedal later.

Bottomline, if you don't mind shopping around abit, then yes. You can save a few bucks with an SX and Micro-cube combo. If you just aren't really bothered, the Ibanez is quite a safe bet.

Wouldn't say better...... around the same quality actually....... but you get more options instead of just that ONE Ibanez guitar.

What kind of music does your Bro plays anyway?

So..... he's a lead guitarist that can play on a Kapok? Respect!

Um yeah...... the Ibanez strat would be fine.... or an SX strat also fine. If you can find a cheap SX Les Paul copy..... that would be good too....

Rm500 would be a little low for a good guitar and an amp.

RM 850

Seriously........ an average SX guitar would be RM 400..... the Micro Cube.... around RM 400.... then throw in RM50 for cables and stuff like that.

Yup. That's the one. If you can find the Vox DA5 for around that price (I doubt..... but try)..... I would suggest that also..... It's an awesome tiny little amp with alot of bite.

Agreed on the fixed bridge GIO.....
Also agree that a Pacifica is an excellent guitar. Alot of pacifica guitar owners and happy ones at that. If you can find one around 300-400, then go for a pacifica. If not, an SX would suffice.
