I think we should make it compulsory to display price in garage sales.
A lot of forums have already implemented this rule like cari forum, even selling/buying apps like carousell is also enforcing this rule.

I see some sellers purposely omitted this displaying price or other particulars so that people will type in "PM me" in the reply to help boost the thread.

This is very unfair to those sellers that provided full details on the first thread vs sellers that purposely not showing couple of details like price, postage, condition etc in hoping buyers will type in "PM me" in the thread to boost their threads.

For me, if you wanted to sell something, just insert your price regardless you are selling online, selling at pasar malam, selling at supermarkets, selling at shopping malls.... all are having price tags, why cant this forum implement it? Why is it so difficult for this forum to enforce it???????

If it is to combat indirect bump, why not suggest every sales thread to be non-reply-able thread?

Simple.

agreed

my reasoning is not much for the bumping but its easier for us to decide whether the item is within our budget or not rather than waiting for the seller to reply which sometime can take days

making thread not being able to replied to doesn't really solve the issue of no price.

some sellers put no price and insist u call / sms / whatsapp them etc...
better dont post on forum in 1st place.

agree ~ putting price really save up a lot of time when browsing items in the sales threads...
at least a range if it's negotiable...

It's about damn time thumbsup.gif

Wasting buyers time and seller got something to hide(?)

If it's one item, put the price on the topic description.

If it's multiple, range.

Example; "Prices between RM50 - RM500"

Some people write reviews to the thread. People like myself often read those reviews before buying.

So making it non-reply-able is like defeating the purpose to have it on a forum for a "discussion" IMO.
