if you are planning to change your 9 month old myvi for a new car, i would suggest you stick with the myvi for a few years.
you'll lose quite a bit of money selling the car now.
*
yah...this is another concern point. I've counted, the minimum will be losing 7k including the interest...

Actually, you used the wrong words. There's no such term as "faithful opinion". The correct term is "honest opinion".

Secondly, go get a swift. It has good promotions now, and it has a good pedigree of excellent engineering, and third, it is a japanese car, which due to the public's perception, retains its value much better than a 206cc.

Besides, the 206cc is really an old car. Looks like crap too (for me at least). The swift looks like a mini wannabe, but at least it pwns the 206cc in terms of performance and handling.
*
thanks for your correction,i've edited it

Yah,the new promotion offered by swift now really attractive~
yah...206cc value-retained. That's why i choose second hand car, where new car will bring a great lost.

Swift and 206cc look fine for me smile.gif

fren, economic is bad now, don't burdern urself lar...u already got a decent car...

except u from a rich family
well,thanks for your opinion.
not to say burden myself. But i still afford to get these 2 car.
I sick of complaining and fixing my current car.
thanks

Just like what others have advised, stick to your 9 month old Myvi for a good few years before you decide that it's time to change your car.

EDIT: What are the problems that are bugging your Myvi? Probably you can enquire the members in the Myvi thread.
That's why i need advice here~

problems such as leakage, disc brake problem, braking system
i've been complaining...and they keep on delay all the inspection.....giving me a lot of excuses....
i've been fixing the leakage for 5 month time
replaced 2 new carpet .....problem still there.....and it makes my car smelly!
those small minor problems,i put them alway already,i just listed out the major problem for me

After considering your two options, I say still stick to your Myvi for now. Possibly and probably when you have fully graduated and can start to concentrate on your career, thats when you should consider changing cars. Although it gives you problems but a 9 month old Myvi is such a waste if you just sold it off just like that...
*
What's the different when i have it now or later when i graduated?
doesn't make any differences, does it?

Just keep on using the current car for as long as you can while spending the least money on maintaining and repairing the problems... Later on, when the car really starts to cause lots of trouble, dump it and buy a non-national car...

You might lose more than RM7k, maybe you'll lose RM10k, but you'd have trashed the car and used it to its maximum potential before dumping it, and that means you've gotten the most value for your money!
*
it won't be 10k as i loan not much, and short repayment time...i loaned 10k and 3 years repayment
put the lost away first.....my problem is....everyone when i drive my car, i will sick of it. i smell bad oudor.....then brake also feel the steering vibrating crazily

People, the reasons she want to change her car is none of your business. If you have problem with that, then go to your emo corner and cry your heart out.

As for the thread starter, the myvi has a lot of problems it seems. But bear in mind that even with a new swift (especially a CKD one), you might just get the same lemon car as you did with myvi, although the chances are lower.

But seriously I'd say take the Swift. If not mistaken the 206cc is due to be replaced anytime this year, and the swift will be staying for a long time to come.
i didn't hear anynews of 206cc..... if newer,i think won't be too much different....i know 206cc looks ghost for its light.... unless it lets 207cc comes in. then different story

Thanks for your understanding of my situation that i encoutering now.
I am attracted with its promotion now.
i get a lot of good comment from it so far.......

my advice is 2 stick wit the myvi 1st..unless u really hv enuf(not ngam2 ok)money 2 spend on new car
*
no worries, not ngam ngam to bear the car~unless i bear a civic now.....then i really ngam ngam able to afford it.

i would say dump the myvi as soon as possible if you don't like it. The way the market is now, the longer you hang on to it, the higher the likelihood of you loosing even more. There is still a high demand for the myvi now.

The Swift would be the obvious choice because it is new. While Peugeot makes good cars, there is always the risk involved in buying a second hand car, and spare parts for a continental car like the Peugeot is not cheap, nor easy to find. I for one would recommend peace of mind anytime over loosing a few thousand ringgit. Once your one year warranty on the Myvi runs out, you'll be forking out even more to get the faults repaired.

yeah bro, this is what i looking for.....
there's still a high demand of myvi...
i don't really know about peugeot's maintenance and spare part price...whether is easy to be found or not.

QUOTE
TS should point out that you need advice on buying a Swift or 206. Not should or shouldn't you keep the lemon.

I never asked if i wanna keep my car or not.....i just need advice on buying swift or 206cc

agree with se7en,
swift would b a better choice.
jap vs continental
jap is always more value for money.
and a plus point my bro drives a swift.
no major defects i can say sweat.gif lucky
but that is what u expect from a CBU.
another point for you to ponder,
it is actually not reallyfuel efficient.
i did suggest you to get a 2nd hand jazz or a new city.. thumbup.gif
*
the new 206cc is 140K
i'm getting 3 years old,at 78k +-
which one did you mean that is not really fuel efficient?

jazz and city will not be my choice..as i don't get interested in honda's cars tongue.gif
besides civic,too bad over budget

Agree with you on that. Come on guys, if she already stated that she can afford a better car all by herself. By all means go ahead. I would pick the Swift anytime than the Peugeot coz the French has bad resale value, expensive to maintain and rare spareparts. The 206 is aging and getting old. If you insist on getting the 206, how about a new Naza Bestari 206? It's based on the original Peugeot 206 but rebadged and local assembled. At least its a new car with warranty.
*
thanks for your comment!
problem is i like both of them, but i can't buy 2 of them
resale value...hmmm....i think i will not sell it in short
i concern about the spareparts .....is that really difficult to get?

sorry,i'm looking for 206cc,which is the cabriolet 1....2 doors....differnt with 206 and naza bestari...
thank you

the swift full tank u can only get around average 370km++

i dunno bout the 206cc fuel efficiency.
u get the car abt half it's price now.
but when u r selling it how much r u gonna sell it...?
the resale value can never beat a jap car..
is that worst?
full tank 370?
my vios also almost 460km

Thanks for forumers who giving me opinions!!!!!
I really take all of your opinions in consideration~

and now,206cc is definitely out...as the concern of sparepart ,maintenance ,and the most important,Leakage from the roof? ha ha......that's the most concern~

Actually i put up 206cc as my bf likes it......

and i just like its cool outlook~

Personally I like swift~
i went to showroom and test drive~ It gives me a really good intention to get it~

However,loaning part,it gives me difficulties.~
Low possibility will get through as i still loaning for my current myvi~

SA said it is hard to get this swift loan approve~

Since I can't really provide all those necessary documentations

For myvi~
my problem is water leakage~ at the driver seats....I've claimed for a new carpet, but problem is the sign of leakage still exist~ and my car becomes smelly~

Setting 2 ambipur in my car...still that disgusting smell ....urggg

Second....inspected disc brake has problem....been ordered for 3 months arleady, still not arrived yet~

Braking system~ somehow when i am driving it...i will always wonder,is that my driving skills problem or else? it just difficult for me to brake...which i have to brake from a very far distance...or else, i need to brake emergency~
Until, others been driving my car, tested with their myvi....it seems that mine is working abnormal~

When chaging gear R - D and vice versa....it has duno what sound!!!
that hasn't been inspected yet!!!

Gosh, how many days i need to spend in SC????

I just sick of bring it to SC
then i will have no car to use!

Last time i claimed for my carpet...it spent up 4 days doing it!
End up,i didn't have car to drive~

So now you guys understand my situation uh~?

another suggestion... since u are not sure whether the approval of ur swift's loan.... and u are sick of p2 SC..... try go somewhere more expert....
ofcoz if ur loan approvel... get the shitty myvi out of ur house smile.gif

btw get a new car better den a 2ndhand car.... somemore is a 2ndhand conti... anything wrong.. u need to dig ur gold out from ur wallet for repairs and maintain.. somemore no more warranty...
*
some really good reputation workshop to help u check the whole car....

he he ...Girls usually will get bullied 1.....
I'd been in one shop, told me that my vios unwanted sound...is caused by TIMING BELT!!!!!
that noob really thought i duno nothing!

den bring some1 along with u?? ur bf or dad??? any1?? just make sure those idiot dun bully u thats it... but if ur car can really fix up... like smell is gone, brake is back to normal, no sound when changing the gear from R to D.... if u think u will keep it...... i think is worth for u to spend the repair money to do up...... try asking somebody around whether any good place to fix myvi??
*
If really get rejected from the bank, probably go to fix it after chinese new year...... Exam at the corner~ and so many problems, don't think i can fix all of them in once. Am i right?
