Microsoft has announced the free roaming action title is now gold. Crackdown, from the creators of the original Grand Theft Auto game (Realtime Worlds), has ended its development cycle and is now headed for production and distribution.
Crackdown takes place in a futuristic GTA universe but with a greater deal of freedom than was afforded in GTA.
As an added bonus, Crackdown fans will have their pleasure doubled if they purchase a specially marked copy - access to the Halo 3 multiplayer beta program!
A Crackdown demo was supposed to have been available through Xbox Live a few days ago, but was removed and has now been promised for this month. So for those who were holding out for a demo before pre-ordering, your wish has been (re)granted.
i think the creators went a lil nostalgic with this game. the glitch reminded me of the good ol' GTA glitches. or maybe it's a free-roaming 3rd person glitch curse?
This game is hilarious!!! Everything is Havok enabled! Stack cars on top of each other.. when strength low.. kick cars over for cover, when strength high kick cars AT the enemies, then shoot the gas tank to blow it up in their face, then pick up a flaming body and throw it back at his friends!
all i can say is this is another GTA genre but now we stand on good side with super power some more
but then we still can kill innocents.... :
can't wait for the retail version, is the multiplayer only avail for co-op? can we play like team death match? can't imagine how fun is this with all the players jumping around and cars/trucks flying/throwing around
That bad? I have my reservations on this game, based on the gameplay videos that I've seen.....but I guess I need to try out the demo myself before deciding. Another 20% more to go after I get back from work
hmmm managed to dl it last night but only tried it this morning... i think its a definite must have just for all the carnage and destruction that you can cause eheheheheheheheeheh
