That bad? I have my reservations on this game, based on the gameplay videos that I've seen.....but I guess I need to try out the demo myself before deciding. Another 20% more to go after I get back from work

IMO the game has issues when it comes to targeting. The auto-lock sucks, and the manual targeting sucks even more. Saints Row had it good, and it feels like a step backwards, back into the crappy targeting of GTA3.
This game tries to be like a cross between Hulk and GTA.....except the hero isn't as cool as Hulk, and playing the good guys isn't as cool as playing gangsters |

My problem with targeting, is that it sometimes locks onto objects like cars. Imagine in an intense firefight, you wanna switch to the next bad guy, but instead you lock on to a car!
Also, holding the X button to pick up weapons just isn't good. In a firefight, if you run out of ammo you're screwed. The 2-3 seconds needed to pick up a weapon, the enemy will probably shoot you half dead. Maybe I'll give it a few more rounds, but so far I don't really see anything special.... |
