This game is hilarious!!! Everything is Havok enabled! Stack cars on top of each other.. when strength low.. kick cars over for cover, when strength high kick cars AT the enemies, then shoot the gas tank to blow it up in their face, then pick up a flaming body and throw it back at his friends!
I'm fine with the targeting, just need to get used to releasing it when the guy is dead. Cause, I don't know how it is in Saints Row but being able to shot tires off on coming vehicles, quickly, easily? I LIIKKKEEEE.....
Played MP with Yoroi yesterday night, it was ridiculous! The number of accidents that can happen... yes.. accidents. Like.. Ooops sorry I didn't see you on the road or oops sorry I threw a grenade at you or oops sorry I kicked you off the multi story building and into the ocean.
I think they're trying to market this game wrongly.
They're trying to sell the game as a GTA killer, but that's not right, if this game was a GTA killer than you'd have different kind of missions, buyable property etc. etc.
What this game is.. is that its an action game in a sandboxed world. Like Gears Of War only without any real levels, you just go around killing people... prefedably the bad guys, but you're basically free to do what you want.
Feel like driving 2 truck cabs to storm through the enemy base? Go ahead! Feel like playing rogue agent and foil every single attempt your friend tries to eliminate the kingpin? Go ahead! Feel like building a little fortress out of charged cars and see how long you can hold out against the law in it? (I loved doing this in GTA) Again.. go ahead! Want to go Mario all over the enemies? (yes.. jumping on enemies kill them) Go ahead!
One of my favorite moments ystrday playing with Keantan (in between me tending to my little son) Was him in a ramp truck me in another car, we were parked along side each other discussing how to target the ramp.
Then *Whooosh* a rocket streaked from a corner!!! *BOOOOM* both died..
Added on February 22, 2007, 9:54 amOK.. time to show how old are the gamers around here.
Who can answer why our copy of Crackdown, which is supposed to be for Asia & JP Region I guess. Is called Riot Act instead? (I'm seeing this on my title screen, but Kean says his says Crackdown so it might be because of the console's region settings)

Why does the game show up as RiotAct instead of CrackDown on JP systems?
Because a long long time ago, probably before some of you were even born. There was a Sega game called Crackdown which was a top down maze game where the goal was to plant bombs and get the heck out of there.
It's possible to avoid any sort of issues that might occured by calling the game Crackdown over there MS just decided to go with another name in that region.
Juggling cars are hard, cause if your rocket hits the top of the flying pile of debris it might push it down. Watch the video.
And note that he ejected out of the car in mid air and then started blasting it, giving it more time to float in the air. Also.. notes that he uses the 'FireFly' homing rocket.
To Kill The Bosses in the game and 'Finish' it, doesn't take too long. To go through the whole game and get all achievements, would take a while and lots of patience in the case of the damn foot races.
Oh, just found out, when you get penalized for killing people. You'll never LOOSE a number on your skills, you only loose progress on the bar that's incrementing.
If you haven't updated Crackdown yet, in a nut shell once you get the update, remember to SAVE the first time you go in, you MUST SAVE the first time you go in, you can't just quit out.Or you'll LOSE your progress!!! *ACK*!!
