SE phones is known to get good photos with good lighting environment... low light, more noise... more light, more details..

tat is why se phones is good at capturing daylight outdoor shot...

i dont know bout nokia and samsung.. but se get good pictures with bright day outdoor shoot.. so lighting is particularly important to get a detailed good pic.. since tis is se w810i thread, tat is why i said se particularly get good pic at enough lighting condition.. actually, it (SE) is known to get good outdoor shot though..

some nokia (e.g. n73) can produce good details and brighter colour c.f. to se k800i at default setting.. but sometimes it produce over saturated/expose color esp in bright environment, losing details of objects in pic at default setting..

i would say se is good at the default exposure setting.. enough lighting can produce good pictures without over exposure..

else instead of just stick to automation, u can adjust the exposure value (up and down of navipad in camera mode)... increase it when in dark environment and reduce it if u feel the light sources cause over exposure..

u can activate the time as screensaver shortly by pressing the volume button during standby (blank black screen) when keypad is locked.. just to indicates time.. (unlike w900i - which hv no time at all for standby)..

pressing + holding : display time wit backlight

to play 3gp.. install quicktime player..

hard surface: reflect sound, either increase or reduce audibility

soft surface: absorb sound, reduce audibility

that all explain why!

protect camera lens by screen protector.. get a good one, martinfield screen protector.. comes with screen protector and lens protector...

dont get a cheap screen protector, cut it to shape and apply on the lens, u will never hv a clear shot anymore by tat..

no crystal case will cover the lens as it will significant reduces the quality of images taken due to direct blockage

it doesnt matter the phone hv HSCSD or EDGE or 3G if u dont use it...

if u think u goona make video call, and most of ur fren hv 3g phones as well, go for w850i..

if u like w810i much and 3G functions is not necessary to you, or u are using digi, go fro w810i then.

at is moment, now, no, it is not possible.. in the future, i am not sure but it wont be easy to crack the phones to install walkman 2.0 in walkman 1.0 phones.

no such effort is seen by heavy modders yet.

unless some ppl made the walkman 2.0 into java program and tat is easily run in most phones.. and easier to do then cracking/modding the phone system..

different interface/visual, diff fonts and style, diff looks

walkman 2.0 supports album art visualisation or some other visualisation.. just a few enhance looks

ya tat is the only things removed from walkman 2.0... no more viewing video in walkman for walkman 2.0

nope... most ap set hv the chinese language pack already.. just make sure u check before u buy...

only initial w810i release dont hv chinese yet.. not an issue anymore now

although it is stated as 512mb mspd, it actually capacity (useable) is either 488mb or around 462mb something or approx above 450mb.. depends on model/batch of the mspd.. so i see 462mb is normal..

i thought maxis also has EDGE

hv a look at the customisation part in the s/w info? wat it writes there? emea, eu, etc.. some region settings cant mute the shutter sound, to remove it, uc an do customisation or flash it to other region (i.e. apac)

i see.. so HONG KONG is included in unable to mute the shutter sound.. its part of the legality issue there then.. prevent upskirt candid and relevant..

to customise it or flash it to other region (reckon - apac), do it at hand phone shops tat provide flashing service, or bring back to shop u bought from or the ap company, demand a reflash..

i wonder why ppl want the sms to play for full mp3 length.. even ringtones only play as long as the other party has not hangup.. 10 secs is kind of sufficient for a msg alert, and by limiting at 10 secs, it will save ur battery by hell lot too..

martin field comes wit screen protector for the lens..

dont go and buy cheap screen protector, cut it out and fit to the lens, else u will never hv a clear image anymore. only use martin field for lens protector due to their high quality & clarity..

if u fixed it properly since the first time, u wont hv to take it out, wash it and refix it.. unless u are going to change the screen protector

the hissing issue is common when low volume or when the song is soft like u said. the only thing is get use to it as se claimed not to fix that thing anymore.. too bad isnt it..

i believe from wat u are trying to say:

that is the function of the light sensor.. when u are in bright environment, the sensor (next to the ear piece) will detects it and reduce or switch off the keypad lighting hence saving power. when u are in dark environment, the keypad will lit up bright to assist sight.

when the keypad light turn randomly bright and off and on and off at some time, it is because the environment is not bright enough nor totally dark.. in transition state is wat i am trying to mean.

conclusion: that is NORMAL..

u dont like the bass is it? u are one of the few/very rare that says the audio quality sucks.

first charge: 8hrs

take ur time.. put in some good songs, pair up wit the hpm-70, fit the hpm-70 in-ear bud to the right size one, then start enjoy the bass (megabass i sbest avoided wit earset) and quality of it, i guess u will love it. believe me, it does diff a lot from those cheapo mp3 player..
