Sure? Because a mobile router will detect as 1 device by the Telco.
*
They can detect based on MAC / IMEI of your mobile router (If there's dedicated range for these devices)
TTL as explained
Browser Agent as explained

So, yes... there's way to detect your traffic pattern...

You can use VPN if you want to tether it in your phone.

If u know how, it can be done
What if we use it with MiFi or wireless router with built-in sim card slot such as ASUS 4G-N12 & TP-Link TL-MR6400 can they block this method?

Have you tested WeBe using this method?
Any source that you can share on how you know Webe can't block MiFi / Wireless Routers with built-in SIM card?

No offense but don't tell people that it works without solid proof
Just because other people is saying it, doesn't mean it's true

For now, let's just wait for someone to test it in the real world

if postpaid better don't play with this

the bill can shock someone

even not reflect in immediate month bill, they can add into coming bills

they sure have contract terms that won't let the co. make big loss, then defaulter would end up in ctos database again

one may disregard p1, but now is TM, no play play

it's ok, if they can detect multiple mac address i can tell them my line is stolen and i need to terminate it cos if really tethering is happening, they should send me a SMS that i must pay for it before use it. somemore there is a RM500 credit limit and they can't charge more than that if really bill shock.

Unlikely that they can detect unless they go by device type. Tethering is detected by user agent. Multiple mac addresses are not detected by webe because the mifi has NAT.

they likely has DPI (deep packet inspection) filtering somewhere, the same technology used by TM to detect torrenting etc.

the best counter against that would be encryption, but that would require an external server. probably we install proxy in the main device (tethered devices will go through this proxy) with some tweaks to fool the filter to think that the traffic is genuinely coming from the main device alone.
