This improvement plan will cover most existing UniFi Home customers in the High Speed Broadband (HSBB) areas and some Streamyx customers in the Sub-Urban Broadband (SUBB) areas nationwide.
*Note: Not an automatic upgrade for Streamyx customers. Customers have to apply for upgrade

Will the government check my income tax? because this plan is for people who salary under rm1500.

This means that the unifi customer who was previously vip5 to vip20 that was upgraded to pro 30 or pro 50 will not be entitled for this budget initiative.

Mine is the 4Mbps streamyx at RM88/mth promo type
It was the only serviceable broadband for my area when I signed up (besides crappy PenxangFon), but recently my area already got TIME broadband, 100Mbps at RM150..... So I see TM is facing pressure to reduce its price in many areas to stay competitive, but TIME obviously is the king of value and speed with their current 100Mbps package

good for you got alternative such as TIME.. the rest like us not so lucky stuck with TM.

so it's kinda confirm RM 110 can get 4mbps after complaint to cfm? I wanna try on behalf my dad, I'm on RM88@4mbps while my pensioner dad paying at full price RM 140

1) yes I stay in high-rise
2) when I said my area, I mean the neighborhood where I stay which comprised of normal landed houses and also high rise buildings, but the whole area is eligible for that TM RM88/mth promotion (must be new subscriber also).

I'm still waiting for TM to call me back regarding this. My dad also a pensioner. I tried to call this morning but ended up the call pick up by service department. Service department will not handle this case.

She said, "not sure if TM can give as per the requested package or not, because it's depend on the promotion period". Then she forward the ticket to marketing department to confirm and entertain my complaint. now still waiting for the call.

A simpler way to get around the "new subscriber only promotion" is to cut your existing line, then use another person's name to apply for a new line/subscription. If TM ask, just tell them you are the new occupant for the said address. They won't bother to dig up your family tree......

Ooooo..... that one is little tricky.

Such promotion is not advertised anywhere, they only appear with booths set up in shopping malls and such.... As far as I know the event is over but it should return almost yearly. Try search for the lowyat thread discussing the "Streamyx with free tablet" to see if it's on now.

But there's a catch: It is only available to certain area designated by TM, some area TM consider as rural so can get it, some other areas TM consider it urban hence not eligible. I don't consider my place rural but it was designated eligible area by TM

well u can try use the why the hidden promotion as excuses..if they said only for certain user group or event..just say y such discriminations.

too bad. yesterday received call from TM and my father house is not eligible for the upgrade as the promotion has ended.

they only offer 2Mbps/RM110 and 4Mbps/RM130. Still not worth for upgrade.
