Question about stopping the auto-renewal after I've subscribed to M500MB deducted from Season Pass.

Does the data stop immediately after the cancellation of auto-renewal, or can we use the rest of 500MB until the end of that particular period (in this case a month)?

I know that Celcom lets us use until the end of the subscribed period, but not Digi. So I normally cancel the auto-renewal for XPAX almost immediately after subscription so that I won't forget.

What's the situation with OneXOX, please?

Is it only me that *150# doesn't work some times?

I've been using the OneXOX app all this time, and recently wanted to access via *150# but got an error message instead.

Free data shouldn't come with auto-renewal, IMO. This can easily be (mis)taken that OneXOX is hoping to take back the other 10GB from unsuspecting users.

Hope relevant party/s will highlight this to your superiors and look into making such free data package a one-time thingy - without auto-renewal.

It's just the thing that struck me after I read the earlier comments.

Sounds like members HAVE to do the monthly top-up in order to get the free data monthly, so do you actually mean "otherwise" instead of "of course"?

That is, top up every month to get the free data monthly (1GB for first year, followed by 500MB the next four years). Otherwise, it is not necessary to top up every month?

It's around the 3rd week of May 2017 that they changed this. I noticed a weird balance in my Season Pass and wrote to them earlier...

I've been withdrawing from SP the past few months, 500MB monthly. Remaining data will be burnt, unfortunately.

I actually won't use the term "carry forward" for data, call minutes, and SMS stored in the Season Pass.

SP works like a wallet and whatever needs to be used has to be drawn out (in this case, user has to do a set data subscription in order to have internet access). Whatever balance in the SP is valid as long as the validity of the SIM card account.

"Carry forward" makes some people automatically think of an expiry date, as it's normally used when saying that something will be carried forward to a new term...

Perhaps the term "balance" is a better word, to avoid contributing to the confusion. Just a thought.

But will the renewal happen in the near future once there's a top up to the credit balance?

In other words, buy a Season Pass package first, and when you want to use the data, you subscribe to a data pack. Going by calculation, 500MB is the minimum thus cheapest you can use.

And Season Pass is not "no expiry date". Rather, it's valid as long as your OneXOX card/account.

Must say I like the way you put it. I tried to use the "money in your wallet" way and still get confused faces looking on.

Having rice rotting looks like a better way to put it.

It's also OneXOX app for iOS. By XOX Media and looks the same to me...
