PremierMiles has complimentary PPL access for both domestic & international at Penang . I have been both before with my PM card.
*
The front page needs updating....where's bearbear?

Also, the access is restricted to international flights only....which means no access in Kuching, as the only ppl is in the domestic area, international flights has no access.....

Restricted to international flights only applicable to KLIA as there is no PPL for domestic flight in the airport . For Penang , KK , Kuching . PremierMiles is entitle complimentary PPL access for both domestic and international flights
*
The footnote clearly state access limited to international flights....

Even if it's both, international departure in KCH has no access as the departure area is separated from the common domestic departure/arrival area where the ppl is....the opposite of klia....

International & domestic departure flights in Kuching airport is shared in the same area / hall . There's only 1 PPL in there . Hence , all domestic & international flights shared to use the PPL . I am very clear on that because every year i will be there few times.

Well , i have used my PremierMiles card to access PPL everytime i back to KL from KCH . I have no issues for entering even my flights is domestic.
*
Don't know when's you last trip, but for the last 2-3 years or so, international departure (Singapore, Pontianak, Shenzhen) is separated from domestic....at check in, they will warn you to take your meal at the landside first if you want, as the international departure past immigration will not have access to any outlets, all in the domestic area....there is nothing in international departure, except for 2 small kiosks selling souvenirs and duty free....

If you are travelling domestic (ie kl) then of course you can access the ppl....

Both you have to go through immigration....

The 3rd stream is domestic flights within Sarawak, no immigration, but once past security, you join all other passengers flying domestic interstate....

My last trip to Kuching was at April this year 2018 , fly from KCH to KUL . There was no issues for me to access this PPL with my PremierMiles card before departure. And before this trip,  on March 2018, i access PPL at Penang too with the same card , fly from Penang back to KUL as well . So far for me , i was able to access PPL with PremierMiles card to fly domestic in Penang and Kuching, except Kota Kinabalu which i never been there before.
*
1. Appears then despite what their website says, ppl allows entry into the domestic lounges....

2. International departures (and arrivals) at KCH are separated from domestic, and international passengers have no access to the ppl....do note interstate flights to kul/bki/pen/jhr are domestic, despite needing to clear immigration....

Don't know whether it's always like that or not. But the last time I took international a few months ago, I can't access PPL which was in a level below international. Or may be it was just my unlucky day.
*
Like I said, separation of international from domestic was enforced about 3 years ago.... prior to that, the mixing of domestic and international passengers resulted in some immigration problems....some international passengers sneaked into the state without going through immigration by boarding a intra state flight upon arrival.....

I have never seen anyone pay for entry into a msian lounge....it's not worth it....

But I have seen some in Australia....I am presuming they are on business account and will just claim....

I wonder if PPL in Malaysian airports are strict? For e.g, I have few different cards with PPL access. Can I swap 2 of my cards in order to bring my friend in together as well?

Heard ppl talked about doing this before but I have yet to try this
*
Using multiple cards from different banks appears not a problem....yet.

Some banks now prohibit using different cards from same bank for multiple enteries within the same day....but enforcement appears patchy....

The lounges will want to admit as many guests as possible, it's money to them....

Banks pay for such enteries so are starting to tighten conditions....but they have to depend on lounges to enforce....who have vested interest to admit everybody....

It's like asking bugs bunny to guard the carrot patch....

The card owner must be present to use the card....at least they, the lounges are strict about... identify confirmed by boarding pass or ic....

In the western world, food is expensive....so the price difference isn't much....a full meal with drinks (etoh) in bne can easily cost aud40-50 at the airport....so paying aud50 (what they charge for 2 hrs) to have unlimited food and beer, plus shower, is acceptable...especially those with a business account....just keep receipt and claim, no questions asked...

on the other hand, in msian airports (and changi too), you can have a pretty decent meal for less than rm30 (or sgd15 in changi, check out the food court and vietnamese restaurant next to the green market), so paying rm150 for ppl seems.....stupid....lol

i should add that while priority pass gives you more options at many more airports, a lot of the listed lounges are pretty crummy....waste of time and entry...the best are generally the airlines lounges...although the af business lounge at cdg was useless....

12 am to be exact at KLIA 2. If KLIA, its 24 hours. If you are at KLIA 2, then no choice have to sleep on the floor and wait for AA to compensate you with a cold, hard burger with a bottle of mineral water later . laugh.gif
*
The ppl in the landside are open 24hrs so if you know your flight is delayed early or have a very late departure time, stay outside until just before boarding....

Thanks for the tip. But for me personally I would always prefer to be at departure side as I don't like the feeling of rushing to clear immigration and security checks. Always feel more relaxed at airside waiting for departure. On Landside, you always have to ponder if there would be long queues at immigration and then again at security check before departure areas  sweat.gif
*
After MN, there will be no queue at all....just start moving from the ppl 1 hr before.... plenty of time....

The bank pays for your entry....so technically, there is a sale, of service by the lounge to the bank....if the gov tax this, then it's possible that bank may want to pass the extra cost to customers....

But I don't think it will happen....the ppl will just include the 6%sst in the entry cost to banks....or the bank will just absorb the extra 6%....not worth the trouble of collecting it, and the illwill it will generate....

Looks like the banks are tightening enforcement of the t n c..... hopefully that will make the scheme viable, and lounges less congested...

Which card is for Maybank Priority customer?
VI, general public can get it without being their Premier / Priority customer.
For Diamante VI, I think you need USD1M to become their Private Wealth customer (this is beyond reach for most of us here)
*
No special cards for their private banking customers....

If not mistaken, MayBank Premier Wealth offers Premier 2 Cards (which is available to the public as well) with some additional perks such as more Treat points accumulation (i seen this information at the advertisement at Pavilion) and perhaps annual fee waiver (not to sure)
*
No, the terms are the same, for all....no extra points or waiver of spending requirement....in fact, MBB is one of the most stingy bank in terms of annual fees waiver....

Refer to above link, you do get extra 5000 TP when spending 15k/month
*
This is new, but only for the premier banking account holders....I don't qualify because I hold a very old account (premier 1) and was only subsequently upgraded to premier banking, and never changed my account....

In any case, 5000 extra points for spending 15k doesn't seem very attractive, when you can potentially already get 75k points...

i means arrive passenger can go entry blossom ppl like t1 ppl or bossom ppl only available for departure passenger?
*
Because T4 separates arrivals from departures, arriving passengers have NO access to the PPL Blossoms lounge....you will only have access if you are transiting and connecting to another flight, and can immediately clear security into the departure area....
