QUOTE(touristking @ Sep 5 2018, 07:11 PM) Not really, there is only one PPL listed for KLIA and 4 for KLIA2.https://www.loungekey.com/scbmy/lounge-find...airportcode=KUL QUOTE(chungf1 @ Sep 5 2018, 10:08 PM) One card one person, theoretically only limited to card holder, but if you have multiple cards with PPL access, you may swipe for them to enter. Not sure supplementary card holder is allowed for Citi Rewards, I think it wasn't stated in their T&C. |

QUOTE(tonytyk @ Sep 6 2018, 01:07 PM) https://www.loungekey.com/scbmy/lounge-find...airportcode=SYDCan deduct AUD36 from the bill Bro, are you having SCB VI? Thinking of joining their priority banking for this card. Any thought? QUOTE(il0ve51 @ Sep 6 2018, 03:04 PM) really wtf wei the wellness spa. why they separate food and relax area. so hassel. i think i just use other card to go in other PPL. Yea this card looks good for oversea, can go in HK and so on. HK PPL food is quite average. Can't compare to other lounges in HKIA. Even the hawker food (inside airport) is much better, especially if you craze for HK local food. |

QUOTE(touristking @ Sep 7 2018, 03:08 PM) Yes. There is more. Travel Insurance. You don't have to use it to buy air ticket to get insured by MSIG, unlike other card. As long as you used it once while overseas, you are covered. Been there, done that. Recently I bought air ticket with MBB Amex Reserve. And for purchases overseas, you get 15 or 30 days coverage on the item. Luckily, never have to do that yet. Called CS for travel insurance detail. For luggage lost and flight delayed, you need to use the card to swipe for necessary stuff and it is claimable (keep and submit your receipt). "Family" covered only your spouse and kids (less than 21yo), traveling together with you (parents not applicable). This one I think most of us understand. I was surprised he told me, for accident coverage, it is only applicable for OUTBOUND journey! During your stay in overseas, you are NOT covered! And the return journey also not covered. I always assume that if we are buying a return ticket, we are automatically covered from the moment we fly, till we get home. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks! |

QUOTE(touristking @ Sep 7 2018, 04:07 PM) I and I assume the vast majority of people don't read the fine details in the policy. Anyway, I did a quick glance and it says "during the trip". Agree, not many people study the policy / T&C.Nevertheless, can't find their policy online. Requested from CS but yet to email me (already more than a week or two). |

QUOTE(touristking @ Sep 9 2018, 07:39 AM) Hi. Got a question. Assuming your incoming flight landed KLIA around midnight and you have a next day early morning connecting flight out of KLIA. Probably a 7 or 8 hour stopover in KLIA. The luggage requires collecting and then re-checkin the next morning because the 2 flights are on different airlines. If you purchase ticket as 1 trip, ie Pg - HK (via KL), usually no need collect your luggage, they will transfer into your next flight. My intention is, to stay on the Airside and not collect the luggage and kill some time in PPL. Only the next day early morning went to collect luggage for re-checkin to connecting flight. Is that doable? What happen if you don't collect your luggage immediately from incoming flight and only do so 7 or 8 hours later? Anyone done that before? If you purchase ticket separately, yes, you need to collect your luggage. Nevertheless, do confirm with airline counter / staff upon check in. Do take note on some overseas airport, where their international and local flights are in different terminal and you have to collect your luggage in between. |

QUOTE(limeuu @ Sep 9 2018, 03:55 PM) Actually mas has a same-day connection check in policy....but can check in night before for next morning flight....have just done that recently, check in night before for a 8am flight.... Again, nothing beats a world class airline in a world class airport....sq allows 24hr prior check in at Changi.... QUOTE(digidigi @ Sep 9 2018, 04:05 PM) Sq allow 48 hours check in advance , compare Changi to klia is like a first world country to third world country, from facilities, environment, airport cleanliness to the airline . SIA allows 48-hr check in is correct, but I don't think they allow you for baggage drop 24 hours in advance, the most 3 hours I believe. The question we are discussing is if we have to collect luggage after first leg, while waiting for next flight the next day (or 8-10 hours later). After collecting luggage, I think we have no way to enter airside again, hence we need to drop the luggage but usually the counter only open 3 hours before flight. |

QUOTE(limeuu @ Sep 9 2018, 05:11 PM) They allow 24hr prior bag drop and entry to the transit area.......which I have done before.....not 48hrs.... Thanks for the info!http://www.changiairport.com/en/passenger-...eckinearly.html Seldom fly from Sg recently, more on transit. However, I do fly Airasia from Changi last week. As we know, AA is now in Terminal 4. Thinking of going TGM (in T2) for dinner before flying, I tried to go in directly from T2 (without luggage) but I wasn't allow entry. End up I had to take transit shuttle to T4, went through immigration, took internal shuttle to T2, overall cost me almost an hour! FYI, you only allowed to leave T4 (internally, to other terminals) if you have at least 2 hours buffer! To and fro (T4-T2-T4 internally), easily 40-50min, includes waiting! All ground staffs will give you same warning, and they are right, luckily I have just enough time. Please take note if you plan to do so... |

QUOTE(noslek @ Sep 10 2018, 08:43 AM) Wow that’s good news indeed! My understanding is the same as limeuu where you’ll need a T1,2,3 boarding pass before they’ll allow airside transfer. Does that mean next time I can go QF lounge when I’m flying CX? Not worth spending the time (and hassle), just stay in T4, unless you have 4-5 hours!Btw, T2 officer told that I can only enter into transit area from T2, if it was validated by AA counter (in T4). I believe probably a stamp on your boarding pass, and of course you need to have minimum 2 hours. Transferring between T4-T2 from public area is WAY FASTER than internally. You may explore this option next time. Besides, why is CX flying from T4? Can't understand... This post has been edited by charlesj: Sep 10 2018, 09:42 AM |

QUOTE(bbgoat @ Sep 10 2018, 03:03 PM) Thanks ! Yes, there is only TGM in T2, which is under PPL.AmBank showed: Singapore Changi Airport i) Level 3, Departure/Transit Lounge West, Terminal 1 ii) Level 3, Departure/ Transit Lounge Central, Terminal 2 iii) BLOSSOM - SATS & Plaza Premium Lounge, International Departures, Terminal 4 (new) So the T2 one is actually TGM. So can still use VI card to go in TGM (for free) though it is public access ? There is no PPL lounge in T2. TGM is like a restaurant, where public can go in and order (paid) for food. With AMB/CIMB VI, you can redeem for FREE food in TGM. Proceed to counter with your card, there is a list of set meal to choose from. |

QUOTE(bbgoat @ Sep 10 2018, 08:26 PM) Saw CIMB VI PPL access terms in their website: My dad is using CIMB Preferred VI, and we just went in PPL without "voucher", both local and overseas.Plaza Premium Lounge voucher is eligible for CIMB Preferred Visa INFINITE principal cardholders only and are non-transferable. The cardmember must present his/her Plaza Premium Lounge Voucher, passport or NRIC, CIMB Preferred Visa INFINITE credit card and a valid boarding pass at the time of use of this Voucher. Is the voucher meant for overseas location like Singapore ? Just like normal CC, swipe at reception desk. I am not sure if he is getting any voucher in the first place. Do note that normal CIMB VI - 8x PPL access + 100k spending/yr (the list only shows local + Sg) For CIMB Preferred VI - 6x PPL access (private wealth) or 4x access (Preferred) + unlimited in Sg, Indo, Thai, Camb. However, from the PPL list, it shows only local + Sg. |

Regarding Supp card access to lounge, only Ambank and PBB stated clearly in their T&C.
For the rest, I can't find any related info. For Ambank, EACH Principal and Supp card holder is eligible for 5x entry (ie for VI) If you have both VI and WMC, you have 5+5 entry For PBB, Principal and Supp card are pool together for total 3x entry (ie for VI) Worse still, total entry remains 3x if you have both VI and WMC RHB, I heard a few times for Supp card, but can't find any info from their website. Are they having separate or combined access (ie x5 for VS)? Citibank, first time, please share more info. Thanks! |

QUOTE(limeuu @ Sep 11 2018, 02:43 PM) Not really... if you have VI and WMC, you can use VI in Airport A; WMC in Airport B, on the same day.Ie. KL (A) - Sg (B) - Sydney or KL - Sg / Sg - KL (same day return) QUOTE(limeuu @ Sep 11 2018, 02:43 PM) However, it's not consistently enforced...both BNE and klia allowed the use of the 2nd card to bring in a guest recently.... Yea, it depends on individual PPL / receptionist. But you still have 5+5 total entries.... Some just close an eye because they want more business. That's why try not to use 2 cards from same bank. |

QUOTE(bbgoat @ Sep 11 2018, 09:41 PM) Prestige card comes with Priority Pass, unlimited access.Priority Pass only give to Principal card holder. Hence Supp card is unable to access. VS (aka PremierMiles) is given unlimited access to local PPL (only). Although there is no directly mention Supp card can access to PPL, but it does stated all cardmembers (which should include Supp card). Also for their general T&C, it is stated "Card" includes Supp Card. Hence, Citibank PremierMiles Supp card is eligible to enter PPL. Unfortunately not the case for Prestige card mentioned above. |

QUOTE(bbgoat @ Sep 11 2018, 11:15 PM) Unlike CIMB or AmBank, given VI card with more access in M'sia or overseas. Besides, I think there is no designated card for Citigold (priority) customers. Some Citigold still remain using their 20 years GOLD card Hence you can't complain too much in term of Prestige vs VS Prestige comes with AF RM1k! Not sure Citigold will offer auto-waiver... |

QUOTE(zenwell @ Sep 11 2018, 11:14 PM) Just a question, does most card that have premium lounge access need to be invited to qualify for the card? meaning must be high networth people? or like have a lot of savings in the bank account? Generally, high end cards (with higher income requirement) tend to have better benefits including lounge access.Do refer to first page for all the cards with lounge access. You will notice that most of them require RM80-100k annual income. If your income qualify for the card, you may apply for it and start enjoying the benefits. Only those priority banking customers, who have certain amount of savings / investment will be "invited" for their priority card. For entry level, I will suggest Aeon / Aeon Big Gold with merely 36k annual income. Next one is probably HSBC VS which is double the requirement at 72k and followed by RHB WS/WMC, PBB VS at 80k. |
