I have more than 25 entries of PPL per year from Maybank and citi bank card, but this year I only remember I used once....
*
Yea, I also have 25 entries from 5x CC, used about 6-7 entries so far.
This month will use another few.
Will be cancelling 1-2 cards due to SST
(RHB promised to give me rebate after cancellation, wait for next month statement)

just found out hsbc vs supp card holder cannot access ppl sad.gif

card cancelled smile.gif

Yea, so far only supp card for Ambank and PBB allow PPL access, which was listed in their T&C.
Ambank, each has 5x separate entries; PBB combine with main (3x or 2x total).
Although someone did mention about RHB supp card access, but it wasn't stated clearly in T&C.

Similar experience, I been to KUL and SIN on the same day trip, I cannot swipe the same Ambank WMC twice on the same day. I believe you can only use the same bank's card once per day. Means, you cannot use both Ambank VI and WMC on the same day.
*
For Ambank, it is written clearly only ONE access per day (for 1 card).
If you have WMC and VI, you can use one each (in different airport / lounge).
You cannot swipe both WMC and VI at the same time (ie. bring in your friend).

If you have X-bank card and Y-bank card (where both have lounge access), I believe most of the lounges allow you to bring in friend by swiping cards from different banks (same card holder).

Anybody got use CIMB Visa Signature to access PPL? this card is not in the #1 post.

https://www.cimbbank.com.my/en/personal/pro...-signature.html
The cardmember must present his/her Plaza Premium Lounge Voucher, passport or NRIC, CIMB Visa SIGNATURE credit card and a valid boarding pass at the time of use of this Voucher.
I am not sure how to get this Plaza Premium Lounge Voucher? Can share if you have experience?
*
Tried CIMB VI, just like normal CC access to PPL. No voucher required.

Know the difference between SC Worldmile and SC Priority VI?

AFAIK, the later can enter domestic lounge.
*
SC Priority VI lounge access is by Loungekey program
Yes, it is possible to enter those domestic lounges listed in the program

Look for those offering Priority Pass / Loungekey
Most of them belong to priority banking customers

QUOTE(invisiblelim @ Nov 28 2018, 07:25 AM)
Hmm Citibank Prestige Card? As it come along with priority pass membership which can enter worldwide lounge.

This card is useless if you compare with its AF

anyone been to the lounge in HK? which lounge better (gate 1 or gate40)?
*
Went at different time, so can't really compare them, but I think gate40 is slightly better. Been to gate40 5-6 times but only once for gate1. Gate40 usually nearer to the connecting flight.

Sifu2, what are entry level cards (RM60,000 p.a.) that has overseas lounge access? Either conditional or not, doesn't matter.
*
It depends on which lounge are you going.
Usually entry level card doesn't offer lounge access.
Nearest I think is HSBC which requires 72k annual income.
If you have enough savings, enroll for a priority banking card.
Else, pledge FD for MBB VI.

Hi all,

I'm new in this topic. So please bear with me if my question sounds silly.

I've just received my Ambank Signature Priority Banking Word Mastercard yesterday.

Can any kind soul tell me in detail what this card can and cannot do (in terms of enjoying "privileges" in airport)?

Also, say I fly domestically with Airasia/Malindo/Firefly etc, am I entitled to access to any one of these lounges?

Thanks.
*
Google "Ambank Signature Priority Banking Word Mastercard"
Scroll down and look for "Airport Lounge Access", read the T&C and participating lounges.
Generally, you must have a ticket to enter the lounge, once per day (although you entitled for unlimited access).
Unfortunately, Ambank has downgraded the privileges in August and I think none of the domestic lounges accepting it.

QUOTE(yoonyin @ Dec 14 2018, 04:50 PM)
Well, basically is a the most useless card you holding right now for domestic flight. Zero access to domestic PPL.
*
Just saw your post after replying him.
Agree that it is useless for domestic lounge.
Nevertheless I am still hesitating to terminate it for the following reasons:
1. Sub-card holder is ELIGIBLE for entering PPL (not many cards allow this nowadays)
2. Still offer quite a lot overseas lounges (of course can't compare with Priority Pass / Loungekey)
3. Unlimited access for Priority banking (anyway, I will opt for other bank instead if go for priority)

Thanks, Charlesj. I’m flying to Delhi this February. Visa Infinite does have lounge access there for free. How do I go about pledging the fix deposit process? Just walk up to the counter and tell them I’d like to apply for credit card and pledging the money?
*
You may try that. If the branch is not helpful, you may go to Maybank card center or call CS and ask about it.

Guys please take note on new policy change on ambank credit card.

No longer can use your multiple cards to get access for family member & friends. Must card holder name only.

Please get someone to update this on first page.
*
We have been discussing this topic on and off for the past few months...
Lounge access benefit is intended for card holder only, but due to some loophole, a lot of us misuse it.
Hence, bank has tighten the inspection and not allowing same person using multiple cards (from same bank) to access lounge at the same time.
I believe most of the lounge still allow multiple cards (from DIFFERENT banks) to bring in family and friends.

Only useful when you fly on MAS, seldom flying MAS nowadays (not from KL, no advantage)

Yea, that's my next target.
The only disadvantage: supp card no access
Unfortunately throw all my savings into housing loan, need to build up my savings again.

SC VI.. requirement is too deep...

1. Eligibility requirement: Principal cardholders who are Priority Banking members with a minimum Assets Under Management (”AUM”) of RM250,000 per month, as at last day of the month. If your Priority Banking membership has ended or your AUM is below RM250,000, your complimentary access to airport lounges will be limited to the first 2 visits annually. Access exceeding 2 times and accompanying guests will be charged USD27 (as per legal tariff) per person per visit.
*
If you put 250k into FD, it is very straight forward.
This one is more applicable for business with CA, where they need to ensure their account has sufficient money every month end. Of course someone can play around the loophole to earn more money.

Hi, planned to apply for AEON Platinum card. Got 6 Complimentary access per annum. Because i frequently travel with Airasia.

Any card offers like 20~30 time per annum for access to Plaza Premium Lounge?
*
QUOTE(mamamia @ Dec 25 2018, 10:16 PM)
Scb worldmiles, unlimited access
*
SCB Worldmiles only applicable for international flight.
I guess he meant for local flight with Airasia.

Unless priority card, not many cards nowadays offer unlimited access.
You may get a few cards, ie 5 cards x 5 entry = 25 entries.
RHB WMC / VS are good alternative
PB VI also allows a few entries
Not sure AEON Big still available, etc

tried my luck to bring my friend into PPL with my 2 different cards and it works lol.

Cards from different bank usually works.
Not to use cards from same bank, ie. Ambank VI & Ambank WMC

That sounds really good. I think I will go for Ambank priority as soon as they have their next good FD promo. They really have a lot of lounges in the Arab countries, just China is very disappointing.

By the way, the last time I took a flight with MAS was in 2006 and I am flying alot. Really have no idea how they can get passengers with their prices and survive with their business model.
*
Bro, if you are to go for priority, you may look into SC VI
Unless you need it for your supp card
