l was denied entry for 2 persons using two AEON credit cards at Aerotel, KLIA2 on 26/09/2018. The PPL staff said l could not use two same bank cards at the same time and also this is applied for all the banks cards. l also checked with PPL near Gate L, KLIA2 and was told the same rule.

Anyone faced the same situation? l had entered  Aerotel before using 2 AEON cards for 2 persons in April 2018. What an embarrassment as l argued with Aerotel staff!

Yes, this has been discussed earlier, best don't use 2 CC from the same bank to enter PPL.
I guess bank is tightening their inspection nowadays for such scenario.

Theoretically, only principal card holder allows to enter him/herself.
If you use both CC from same bank, they are able to track it easily.
Whereas if you use two CC from different banks, they won't be able to detect this (you sign for other people as long as using your boarding pass).
Just terminate 1 and apply another similar card from other bank.

I don't think it matters if the guest you are trying to bring in is your spouse....no guest, full stop....

They still allow signing in a guest with another bank's card....

Wonder if they will enforce that too....no match boarding pass and card, no entry ....no guests full stop....

Unless pay lah....
*
PPL will be more than happy to allow as many guests to enter.
Bank is the one objecting.
There is a list to fill in for every bank.
Hence, the bank can easily trace it if PPL allows same name to enter twice (using different card).
However, I believe there is no way to trace the list of other banks.
It should be safe to use CC from different banks.

No way. Go get RHB / Public bank which entitle both PPL in domestic and international departure (PIA)

i will travel from KLIA to oversea with my wife in this month, i personally owed a PB VC with 2 complimentary free access 2x per year but my wife did not have any PPL free access cc, my I know how much will PPL charge if i bring my wife along into PPL in KLIA?
*
As mentioned above, not worth it.
Get your wife a supp card, PB supp card is eligible for PPL (but will share your quota, total 2 access).
Ask them to send to branch for collection (usually faster) instead of sending to your address, tell them urgent.

You can also look for those bank / branch who can offer you instant CC, ie RHB, apply for those cards with PPL access.
Else may not in time to get you card before travel.

Right about that. And you can relax in the lounge while waiting for your flight. No need to 'roam' around aimlessly, lying on the floor (it regularly happens at KLIA2). And the best, when flight is delayed, I just walk back into the lounge informing the counter staff my flight was delayed.
*
There was once my flight delayed to 3am, but PPL closed at 11pm...

12 am to be exact at KLIA 2. If KLIA, its 24 hours. If you are at KLIA 2, then no choice have to sleep on the floor and wait for AA to compensate you with a cold, hard burger with a bottle of mineral water later . laugh.gif
*
I was flying from KK, if not mistaken it was close at 11 or 1130... Managed to grab some late dinner inside PPL and ignore AA hard cold burger tongue.gif

You would be lucky you get a 'hard copy' burger. If delay time is not that long, you wont get nothing.  laugh.gif

Blame the auto correction. Haha
My worst delay was in Bangkok.
3pm delayed till 3am.
No notice in advance, keep on delaying a few hours and finally the flight only reached by 3am.
Got some voucher to spend on food.

I suspect, even if they knew the flight will be delayed by 12 hours, they will never tell you that. They will never say more than 3 hours. Often a few hours....then a few hours...then a few hours more etc.
*
Perhaps, not too sure.
If I knew it will delayed for 12 hours, I will at least go back to City or choose to fly the next day.

No way. SST RM25/access is too much, equivalent to RM400+ for each paid access (6%).

I planning to use PPL (with shower) in heathrow T4 this December.
Travelling with wife and 3 children plus 1 infant.
Me and wife already got MBB Infinite each.

How much they will charge for my childrens for walk in guest?
I know infant is free. I read somewhere that infinite holder (guest) can get 20% discount
*
https://www.plaza-network.com/location_detail?city=London
GBP40 for 2 hours.
Yes, you can get 20% discount for each accompanying guest.
Nevertheless, I don't think it is worth it.

Since you still have time, I will suggest you apply for Ambank WMC immediately (unless you already in UK now).
One for yourself and supp for your wife and kids (if over age 18).
Swipe them for your kids to enter PPL free.
Ambank is one of few banks allowing supp card holder to enter PPL.
You need to spend RM500 on EACH card though within +/- 30 days for free entry.

Note: You may try apply for Ambank VI too, but some PPL will reject same person same bank (Amb WMC & Amb VI)
Note2: I am not sure Heathrow PPL allows you to swipe for your kids, try your luck

For local PPL, I ever went in 3 adults and ask for a kid FOC (manager allowed it, else they lose 3 business)
You may try the trick for 4 pax and ask for another for free tongue.gif

If you have spare cash (250k), apply for SC Priority VI for Loungekey.
Then you will get another entry.
Last but not least, I truly salute you for bringing 4 kids together! rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif
Have a nice trip!

QUOTE(skty @ Oct 22 2018, 08:09 PM)
focus on the privilege of complementary PPL access, so far the credit card that come with priority banking / premier banking / preferred banking / privilege banking / red carpet banking for PPL complimentary access:

any other bank that you know and want to share so I can update this list?
*
HSBC Premier Travel also tied to loungekey program, allowing x12 entry

I will rate those with PP/LK (UOB, SC, HSBC, HLB*) - 4 points
Maybank and Ambank are entitled for quite a lot popular destination - 3 points
RHB - 2 points
CIMB (Sg & Indonesia) - 1 point

* HLB, forget about it, not sincere at all, 300k spending!!!

Add-on:
To determine which card suite you best, there are 3 categories to look at.
Assuming the main purpose for getting the card is to get as much free lounge as possible (especially international).

a. List of accepted airport / lounge & Number of access
b. AF Waiver, no one likes paying AF and assuming this is not your best CC, lower AF waiver the better
c. Benefit of using the CC (it will be too long to analyze this, hence the assumption in #b)

Hence, I will rank the card as below:

#1. SC - LK with unlimited access worldwide, AF waive at merely 10k
#2. AMB - unlimited access to popular destination (if those you travel frequently fall within, this is good), no AF
#3. HSBC - LK with x12 access worldwide, AF waive at 45k (although this is also tied to LK, I think the accepted airport is less than SC)
#4. UOB - Dragon Pass with x6 access worldwide, if not mistaken AF waive at 12 swipes, AUM at whooping 500k!
#5. MBB - x12 access to popular destination, if not mistaken AF waive at 50k (save as VI?)
#6. RHB - x10 access to limited destination, unlimited access when spending above 100k, no AF
#7. CIMB - x4/x6 access to very few destination, no AF
#8. HLB - PP with x4 access worldwide (only for first year), subsequent year need to spend 300k!!!

a few corrections...

Maybank vi is 5x/year.....

Maybank and amb cards can access most of the international stable of ppl lounges....

Rhb is the one with restriction to only a few....
*
Which card is for Maybank Priority customer?
VI, general public can get it without being their Premier / Priority customer.
For Diamante VI, I think you need USD1M to become their Private Wealth customer (this is beyond reach for most of us here)

If not mistaken, MayBank Premier Wealth offers Premier 2 Cards (which is available to the public as well) with some additional perks such as more Treat points accumulation (i seen this information at the advertisement at Pavilion) and perhaps annual fee waiver (not to sure)

No, the terms are the same, for all....no extra points or waiver of spending requirement....in fact, MBB is one of the most stingy bank in terms of annual fees waiver....

Refer to above link, you do get extra 5000 TP when spending 15k/month

This is new, but only for the premier banking account holders....I don't qualify because I hold a very old account (premier 1) and was only subsequently upgraded to premier banking, and never changed my account....

In any case, 5000 extra points for spending 15k doesn't seem very attractive, when you can potentially already get 75k points...
*
Is true, but not easy to spend 15k on amex (compare to visa)
Standard chartered also offering similar bonus points (for premier customer), you can even earn points from your FD / CASA (though SC points are much inferior)

anyway thankyou your info, do u know if air asia flight on 5pm,may i drop luggage on early morning? because want go to t1 @ t2 jalan jalan…

We did discussed about this 200-300 posts before, but I think no clear conclusion (some are saying 24 hrs but may not applicable for all airlines).
It is best you check from airasia CS.

If you intend to go T1/T2 from T4 (internally, after check-in), do refer my previous post below:

QUOTE(charlesj @ Sep 9 2018, 11:46 PM)
Thanks for the info!
Seldom fly from Sg recently, more on transit.

However, I do fly Airasia from Changi last week.
As we know, AA is now in Terminal 4.
Thinking of going TGM (in T2) for dinner before flying, I tried to go in directly from T2 (without luggage) but I wasn't allow entry.
End up I had to take transit shuttle to T4, went through immigration, took internal shuttle to T2, overall cost me almost an hour!
FYI, you only allowed to leave T4 (internally, to other terminals) if you have at least 2 hours buffer!
To and fro (T4-T2-T4 internally), easily 40-50min, includes waiting!
All ground staffs will give you same warning, and they are right, luckily I have just enough time.
Please take note if you plan to do so...

The banks that restrict number of enteries to one per day appears to mean calendar day.... so if you capture an entry at 11.59pm, you can again use that card theoretical at 12.01am....lol

So far i know Ambank is restricting one entry per day, is the same applicable to other banks?

There is almost no information on supplementary cards for rhb,..

Ambank initiated the one per day rule because their cards allow unlimited entries....since then, they have imposed the rm500 spend condition as well as remove the landside lounges, so may not be a strict rule anymore....other banks restrict the number of entries, so don't have the problem of excessive use....
*
For RHB supp card, are they going to charge you (assuming you bring in guest / exceed your 5x allocation)?

Yes, missed the good old days with Ambank unlimited entry.
Max record go in 3x PPL within one journey (need to spend 1500 though)
