that day i went for green market for complimentary meals. presenting my ambank wmc, suddenly asked me for my boarding pass, i proudly replied NO.

then i proceed to taste the hainanese chicken rice set with no hassle

Means not really compulsory to show boarding pass then?

Not sure if it's staff dependant but they need to scan actually, not for them to see only.

Went to PPL with my family (2 adults and 2 kids) at KLIA2 last Sat, the one at 2M floor.

I had with me a MBB VI and my wife had her AEON Gold. Initially the counter said we could only bring our youngest child in for free, whereas the elder one need to pay.

When I said it's OK, as I wouldn't want to pay or leave my elder one outside....all of a sudden the counter said all can enter. Very thankful for their goodwill

Time for you to apply AmBank WMC and VI, supp to your wife. Your wife's principal card or one of your principal cards can be used for your elder daughter or for the younger one in the future.

from the few posts above, it seems to me the controls are pretty lax...

i think the rules are there....entry for travelling card holders only....

but since every entry is income to the ppl group (they will charge the issuer banks), they will of course attempt to maximise customers...hence allowing entry for non travellers, and allowing entry for non card holders using other people's cards.....

while it is good for some people, it also raises the cost to the issuer banks, and eventually curtailment of benefits is inevitable....which will then affect everybody.....

it's like fraud in car insurance claims....which results in increased premium for everybody...it's a zero sum game...

i just went there last week due to business trip. The cashier didnt request my boarding pass, he said my card is enough. So i guess its not compulsory but optional. Just proceed to sign and started my complimentary meal, btw i present Aeon card.

I went into KLIA2 PPL once without using my credit card as the staff told me that the lounge was very full

i plan to apply Ambank.. although i have Citibank Premiermiles.. but.. it is limited KLIA only..

They just let you in and never swipe your call?...

Btw which card got free entry to japan lounge ? Looking for narita / haneda / Sapporo, if any lounge there .....

Try to get the cc with priority pass such as Alliance VI. However for Japan lounge, the airports list in the Priority Pass are Narita, Nagoya, Fukuoka and Kansai only.
