DUDE, there's sumting definately wrong wit the kancil.... my mum's kancil takes us 80km (KL town driving) with RM 10. So with RM 40, our car can go 320km.... tats 100++km more than ur fren's car... better servis the engine, change the sparkplugs, check ur tyre pressure and if nothing improves.... send it in for a complete check... smile.gif

I think Honda i-DSI will get my vote! Followed by Kelisa and Savvy!

Driven like a tortoise, the kancil 660 manual can easily do 410km (city+highway) for RM40 fuel. Tyre pressure @ 230, new air filter every 5k since its so cheap ($8)..

if the kancil is auto, no comment - expect a wira 1.5A-like FC brows.gif

edit: kidding, i think kelisa 1.0 should be the best balance between performance/FC followed closely by savvy amt.

it is still fuel-efficient ...

HOWEVER, HYBRID's battery in the BOOT can only last 4-5 years

REPLACEMENT COST IS RM8000-12000 every time ...

I can verify that savvy is a very fuel efficient car as we can enjoy driving without ever thinking of the fuel.

model: kelisa 850, bought in Dec 2004. everything is stock, no mod.

i rarely use highway, so maybe 70% city driving.

the below tests are conducted around March last year.

1st test: Petronas @192cents/liter
20 liters = 410km
1.0 liter = 20.5km
4.9 liters =100km
1.0 rm = 10.7km

2nd test: Shell @192cents/liter
21 liters = 415km
1.0 liter = 19.8km
5.1 liters = 100km
1.0 rm = 10.3km

3rd test: Shell @192cents/liter
34.2 liters = 701 km
1.0 liter = 20.5 km
4.9 liters =100km
1.0 rm = 10.7km

4th test: Petronas @192cents/liter
23 liters = 421km
1.0 liter = 18.3 km
5.5 liters =100km
1.0 rm = 9.5 km

so, in average, maybe I can say that my kelisa fc = 19km/liter

Okay .. lets make this the most helpful thread. the thread to help people look for the MOST fuel efficient car available in Malaysia.

So the 650 Kancil consume the less fuel of all cars in Malaysia? Well the car consume even less fuel when they come out with the DVVT model?

what about Chevy Spark, Smart for 2, Naza Sutera (Picanto), Kelisa or even Savvy and Inokom Getz.

maybe you would like to read this and summarize/list up the result?
