Is there a daily closing time for ASX operations ?
*
Certain bank staff will still help you at 3.50-3.55pm. I'd always managed to get 4-5 digits at this time. You must check all the banks near your areas to see who is the best to help you. For myself , Affin is still the BEST.

QUOTE(Kelv @ Oct 4 2016, 03:24 PM)
RHB bank at midvalley there only allow 1 customer, 1 try, 1 amount. Let's say you tried AS1M, you can't try ASM/ASW.  ranting.gif
*
This happened to CIMB, MBB & RHB in my area.

QUOTE(Kamen Rider @ Oct 4 2016, 03:43 PM)
Question, between PNB and Banks, which one you prefer to top up, presume both available at your same distance?
*
I'll try both as it's all about luck & timing. If your bank staff is helpful, it'll be better to transfer $$ via CASA. For PNB, you must carry CASH.

Be their PB...or at least apply CC, etc.

It worked for me last time...a bit

For Affin Bank, no need all the above T & C. Somehow, majority will end up opening basic saving accounts as it's easier and safer with CASA transaction.

QUOTE(bbgoat @ Oct 4 2016, 06:49 PM)
Today got 64k top up on AS1M. Probably still lower than the 5 figures mentioned by others. Still lower than my target figure. Still keeping some dough in Affin. Unable to get any ASM and ASW today.

see what I tell u previously..

50k per shot is doable on ex-dividend date..

but still lower than previously recorded. 80k per shot  flex.gif  rclxm9.gif
*
My bank staff will not attempt >50k per shot but he's willing to try multiple transactions of <50k.

I guess the affin staff rarely see people get 50k per shot. but at "old" agents banks it's normal for ex-dividend date  icon_rolleyes.gif
well for me ASM is middle.

ASW the one hardest to get  cry.gif  cry.gif

AS1M most easiest  innocent.gif
*
It was very easy to get ASW on 1/9/16. Ended up signing form as 2 transactions, total >50k.

QUOTE(bbgoat @ Oct 4 2016, 07:14 PM)
Oh one more thing. Need to try <50k in one shot.

Affin told me 50k or more need to fill up form to BNM !! Took additional 10 to 15 minutes for Affin girl to do it for the 50k shot. Additional paperwork and some online things to fill up. I have to sign the form as well !! doh.gif She apologized on this.

Not sure if other banks have this issue.  hmm.gif
*
On 1/9/16, I had to sign form for total >50k, even from CASA transaction at Affin.

How much auntie got for AS1m today
*
For now, 99.9% no more top up for ASX FP. Reached my personal target for ASM, ASW & AS1M.

There is still a 0.01% possibility if FD keep dropping next year.

You managed to top up some, today?

Try again whenever free to do so lo, or just simpan bullet and try asm in larger amount. (Next year)

Keep on trying every day if your money is readily available and you're free to do it. With lower FD, less people are selling off their ASX FP. Now you've to work 'harder' to 'hunt' for these units.

Unfortunately, ASM ex dividend on 1/4/2017 is on Saturday.

You can get them on 3/4/17 and 'lost' on 1 month dividend.

Looks like you're the luckiest here to get some in all FPs today.

I'd managed to complete my AS1M 1st too, to follow by ASM & ASW much later.
Luckily no need to compete with you and the rest any more. smile.gif

Hahaha, have been revising my target upwards, so hard to say.

Did not realize that my FP now exceeds the ASG by a little bit.  biggrin.gif

My AS1M already reached 2nd target. ASM 5th target. ASW 3rd target.
Very tempted to revise AS1M target to 3rd target but at the end, decided to place $ in other baskets.

My favorite top up time was after 10 30am. My bank staff told me the BEST time is 12-1pm. I've tried 10am+, 1130am and one of my favorite was 3.30pm- 4pm.
But as everyone knows, it's all about luck & timing.

As long as one is willing to keep trying with a helpful staff, you can get get what you want quicker. It's a huge advantage if you can leave your passbook with staff but for an average investor like auntie with no connection, must thicken my face and hopped like bunny from 1 bank to another.

If you just look at current 100k deposit, dividend 6%+ vs FD 4%, I'll 'park' myself at the bank to accomplish my top up, no matter how hard it's. I can buy a lot of stuff with the extra 2%.

Auntie already bought herself a nice 'present' for all the hard work. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif Must know how to enjoy all the dividend and interest earned at this retirement phase.

I got 60k of AS1M at around 3.30pm on Tuesday. But I do agree it is luck and timing that make the deal.  biggrin.gif

Like "bunny" just like your avatar !  rclxms.gif

But u still have FD, maybe lower % than the FP ?  hmm.gif
*
I still have some Fds ( to cover 2-3years of expenses) but majority are in ASX FP and dividend stocks. Still too 'young' to claim EPF & CPF.

Anyway, after reaching target, don't need to run to the bank every year (unlike promo FD). Save time and petrol.  thumbsup.gif

Long time never post here. Anyways, here's what's the latest insider info I got.

Rest assured that the days of having to go to branches to hunt for those oh so valuable FP units would soon be over. ASNB is supposed to launch its own online portal with online-real time transactions processed by the host system. As you know, the current M2U, Clicks, RHB are all on batch mode now.

My insider said they were testing out the system last week and you can view your account balance online and perform additional top-up real time too.

I guess they're now in the SC approval and testing phase so pay close attention to ASNB's announcements on their website or their social media channels towards the end of the year.

They'll probably be using SMS-TAC like all other internet banking websites so if you haven't updated your info with them, can start preparing now.

Most I got today is ASM, then ASW, last AS1M. Intentionally clipped AS1M:

First one is AS1M, then ASM and ASW:

I also don't want that as I am the one filling up the forms while the girl do the trying. But no complain as she was able to get the units up to my last cents in MBB and cash that I carry.  devil.gif

I was guessing I could even get more if I have the dough at that time.  bruce.gif

Start planning for tomorrow. Better 'catch' whatever is available quickly and you can 'goyang' kaki and enjoy 6% +/- dividends soon.

blush.gif I told my bank teller few times previously as he has always been eager to check for me when ever I dropped by.
I have set and re set target too many times. At times I told him to wait and rushed back to my 'home' bank to withdraw CASH/ IBFT.
I should visit him and update my AS1M tomorrow.
