QUOTE(infiniti123 @ Mar 5 2022, 04:37 PM) Just been offered by Cartier to make a Piece Unique Cartier. Interesting. How long is the whole process, up until collection?Apparently i've been told i'm able to customise the watch however i want. The Model i get to choose on both the Cloche and asymetrique. |

QUOTE(discretesound @ Apr 1 2022, 11:01 AM) Anybody with a speedy and seamaster diver 300m can chime on the good and the not so good of each? Looking to get my first Omega and these two are on my shortlist. They’re totally different watches though? The diver is obviously the better all-rounder, if you’re looking for a one-and-done watch. |

QUOTE(discretesound @ Apr 1 2022, 12:39 PM) Yeah they are. Never own a chrono, so always wanted one but just worried about the low water resistance. If you can live with the speedy being a manual wind, then just get it first and scratch that itch. The low WR never bothered me because it doesn’t go near water to begin with. Seamaster seems like a better no fuss watch. Just looking something that complements my DJ41 QUOTE(infiniti123 @ Apr 1 2022, 03:03 PM) On an absolute roll. QUOTE(waka14 @ Apr 11 2022, 03:04 PM) how do you guys normally wear your watches? the ones i got on the bracelet are comfortable, but as i walk to work and start sweating, they slide down to the bone...there are days i feel that bracelet straps are not suitable for our weather hahaha.....geng pls feel free to input sikit, tq geng Sounds like you need a bracelet with some sort of micro-adjustment I’m a bracelet person, and I wear my watches tight. I find that a little sweat helps the watch stay in place better compared to when it’s dry, but it does get a little icky after awhile. |

QUOTE(Jason @ Dec 29 2022, 01:05 PM) Okay pulled the trigger. The only gripe I have with the SM300 diver is the lume is laughable. The BB58 outshines it by far. Supposedly the Sub killer, with that kind of lume it's just shooting in the dark. The BB58 definitely wears better, a smaller and more manageable size, but the white dial and the depth with the indices on the SM300 diver just pops, can't stop looking at it. Saw the green SM300 diver, spark no joy. Already ordered a rubber strap + folding clasp for the SM300 diver...RM2.2k for that... with no discounts gotta wait a month or two for that. The bracelet is good esp. with the micro adjustment but its just too bulky cause it doesn't taper! Oh ya the fake rivets on the BB58 is just silly. Congrats! No bad choice here if you ask me. The BB58 really punches above its weight, at the current price genuinely a steal..before more price hikes. [attachmentid=11370937] One probably fits a larger wrist better, while the other a smaller wrist. I’ve recently sold the last of my Omegas and moving towards smaller watches as I approach my 40s |

QUOTE(Jason @ Jan 3 2023, 12:32 PM) I started with a 41mm, then a 36mm and now this. I realised I don't care much about the measurements, more concerned with how the actual thing looks and feels on my wrist. Fair point - that’s why I constantly stress to my non-WIS mates to try any watch in person before pulling the trigger. Long ago I was so intrigued by the Oris TT1 diver thanks to photos, but cause of the case design and how it sat, didn't work for me. Now I am trying to see how a small Cartier Tank Solo/must 24.4mm fits-- if I find one. The current release was resized to 22mm for the small and 25.5 for the large. Given that it is quartz and super slim 5.55mm for the old one, 6.6mm for the current one. Minimalist, and never out of style, like Ray-Ban Aviators. 22mm was... laughable on my wrist. Not sure why Cartier went and did such a resize, I assume it is to fit the solar beat. I have the large Tank Solo - doesn’t really sit well on me. Too flat/long a case vs my rounded wrists. My dreams of getting a Reverso went poof just like that |

QUOTE(QuickFire @ Jan 4 2023, 04:58 PM) Which shop is this? watatime? The Seiko boutique itself. How much did you get it for. Wondering what's the maximum discount we can get for GS models. The last I checked with the Seiko boutique 15% was mentioned... Rm30ish k from memory, I think 10% discount or thereabouts. |

QUOTE(QuickFire @ Jan 27 2023, 11:38 AM) Yeah I want to the GS in sunway. Can get 10-15% off. But there is no stock for the SBGY007 Omiwatari - apparently wait times are 2-3 months with a 30% deposit required. Hard to believe it's come to the state where even GS needs wait times. Got a little fed up as I was told previously by them that I could get it in 1-2 weeks' time. Are you only specifically after the Omi?This kind of swayed me a bit to look at the Cartier Santos medium or large automatic. I see it's in stock on the website. Does anyone know if Cartier offers any discount in store? Thanks. There were a slew of 9R31 based SBGYs released late last year which might be good alternatives. I would’ve gone for the 017 if I could do it all again. |
