btw i just found out Longines is called Longines simply cos it sounds french, which back then meant quality.
kinda like hongkies using swiss names nowadays...

some wont touch boutique brands, while some only go boutique... and very few in-between.
cos too many tom dick harry boutique brands coming up, with china production getting cheaper etc.

I was seriously incredulous at some of the "watch lover" forums who now consider Frederique Constant shit because they are owned by Citizen and thus somehow that makes their watches overnight inferior in some form or function.
