It means Grey imports. Not by authorized distributors. Usually warranty is by the seller themselves. Depending on the seller.

As this is gonna by my first purchase of a watchmaker make, i would prefer one where the warranty is more comprehensive.

Usually every 5-7 years, but some can run longer.. I'll tell you to go have a look at it because picture can be misrepresentive..

But memang for Steinhart not so easy, unless you find a seller and go try it on..

After some considerations and lotsa thoughts and some deeper thoughts I'll probably go for the BBB this year and the rest should be KIV.

Now after many places and some strings to pull I manage to get hold of the shop to bring in the last piece of ETA BBB. And me being me suddenly thought the new in house BBB ain't that bad either.

So now I'm confused between the rose and a smiley dial or the new shield Logo BBB

So so confuse and both does look lovely to me ...

If it's you guys which would you pick?

offcourse the rose with smiley dial, the production period was short...is rare
the only watch auction black bay that sold for 375k CHF is also having the rose logo biggrin.gif

+ point : ETA movement that you could go for servicing much cheaper
- point: refer back the + point.... tongue.gif

if U say must try to get a feel how it wear I get it.
warranty... for such price pt, they runs on ETA from swatch group. chances for you to exercise warranty is extremely low.
for ppl like me I rather take the risk, service fees for such work horse movement isn't high. if watches go for 75-80% discount vs AD the 25-30%, even need to pay out of pocket still cheaper.

buying stuff online should matter where are you, U can always VPN to get stuff.
Singapore ISP provider shouldn't block u.
I seen ppl buying on taobao the entire house reno stuff.. from tiles, wood floor, faucets, toilet bowl, furniture, clothes, shoes etc.
even sgd$5-20k engagement ring, ppl buy online.
iirc I saw many brick and mortar closing down, even for HK they facing same issue as ppl getting more comfortable shopping online following the western trend.

Most of the brands recommended are solid and reputable. I've gotten all my SARBs without ever touching it prior to purchase.

Go AD is just to try, unless no one else outside can give a better deal, I probably won't buy from AD anyway.

And they also lost half of their long serving staff recently.

I heard from them that Omega is slowly removing ADs in KL as they are going the boutique route..

Well, before I got my speedy, my sales guy did voice out concerns as Omega is opening a boutique just couple of steps away from them.

Just like how Pavillion AD are no longer carrying the brands with boutiques there.

Ball jumps belatedly into the Bronzo market...looking like a Zenith.

limited to 3000 pcs... nice price of usd1275...
too bad it uses eta2836.

It's too little too late for Ball. They didn't managed to capitalize on their strong market presence a few years ago and now they are flopping in a lot of countries.

They should shore up their resale value by not releasing refresher models every 6 months. But instead they went greedy and went for quantity over quality with a lot of very badly designed watches (date window too small etc.).

It's like they can't decide whether if they want to be sports oriented (Oris) or are they more dressy (Longines). This lack of identity really killed their brand among serious collectors.

Not now. But back in the early 2006-2009, Ball was a microbrand destined to be something big. Kinda like Nomos of its time.
