maybe those with padlock is the settings u downloaded from Maxis, so unable to change.. there is no "Create New", probably u already used up the maximum number of settings.. try to delete those unnecessary profiles such as other country profile if yours is AP unit...

if you follow the same method to key in the MMS settings, u will be able to send & receive MMS.. cheers..

btw, i cant delete the original settings in the phone either, only can edit..

so, wat i did was i master reset everything n the maxis web sessions gets deleted as well.. but the original web sessions still remains.. so i created the web sessions juz like u told me, n now everything's ok..

I'm facing the exact problem... But i'm using celcom instead..
Configure it through website too.. Still cant both gprs and mms to work..

most probably same prob as mine.. can u edit or delete the celcom configuration??

maybe need 2 do manual configuration like wat i did, but instead of maxis setting, u need celcom ones instead.. anybody knows??

i've tried manual configuration but in the celcom website, there's no v3xx for me to choose anybody know which one to click on?

well.. 3g postpaid, pretty simple to configure.. let me copy it from previous maxis settings.. here u go:

for mms, make sure the websession also has this Celcom 3g and Celcom 3g mms settings (refer below no. 1 & 2 for config, create these 2 first)
before proceed, go to message > options > setup > message setup > MMS setup > server info > (if celcom 3g mms not available, you have to create yourself..)
create new profile
- service name: celcom 3g mms
- serer name: http://mms.celcom.net.my
- web session name: celcom 3g mms
make sure the celcom 3g mms profile is "ticked"..

1. to create GPRS setting in WebSessions:
- go to main menu > webaccess > websession > [new entry]
- name: celcom 3g
- homepage: http://3g.celcom.com.my
- proxy: 010.128.001.242
- port 1: 8080
- gprs apn: celcom3g
- username: -blank- (*leave it empty)
- password: -blank- (*leave it empty)
press done. (the rest of the field just ignore)

2. to create MMS setting in WebSessions:
- go to main menu > webaccess > websession > [new entry]
- name: celcom 3g mms
- homepage: http://mms.celcom.net.my
- proxy: 010.128.001.242
- port 1: 8080
- gprs apn: celcom3g
- username: -blank- (*leave it empty)

seem to be having problems charging my v3xx..when i insert in the charger, the screen will say "insert sim card" and then turn off by itself..anyone experience this b4?

i didnt notice any difference cos seldom using it.. the only thing i notice is browser key.. u need to press and hold 2 seconds to load it.. unlike previously it launched whenever u accidentally pressed it..

u can:
1. master reset your phone
2. clear the "contact" of the sim slot and your sim card
3. use another sim card see whether having same problem
4. else, send to service centre

Added on July 23, 2008, 11:33 pmi tried master resetting and clearing my sim card but to no avail..so i googled and found tat its quite a common problem for razr phones. tried cleaning the battery and prongs..and it worked..hope it'll stay this way.

thinkin of flashing v3xx 2 local rom, but never done b4, scared got probs later.. any advise n precautions on how 2 do it properly??

but then again, i dont really have any prob wit my fon at the moment, the real reason y i wanna flash it 2 local rom is 2 avoid the browser launchin whenever i accidently press the browser button during sms..

i done the flashing bofore..no problem yet (touch wood)
the flashing is a simple process
just follow the steps as instructed by master PRINZE..

can be done easily..

download RSD lite 4.1, install drivers, follow my steps, happy at last..

i notice when we reply an sms to someone,they will get a (RE:) in the message we sent. how do i permanently delete the (RE) in replying smses? i always have to go to Sending Options > Subject and then delete the RE in every message..erm..can it be done?
