Been waiting for someone to post this game up. But after so long, might as well start one for the community.

I am suspecting 8 hours of gameplay and we might not even see another player in your game in the hundreds/trillion galaxy. Its going to be a dark, solo, lonely, forget humanity adventure into deep space.

Okay. Sign me up.

Where you preorder? Do reco if theres a cheaper source. Trying to look for 190 range if possible.

I am going to name the first plant i see Marehsia. And the short legged hippotamus alike animal that eats the plants and shyte across the planet, fertilizing it as Najib-us MKI. (Spelled as Na-Ji-Bus) Its going to be inside the Wikipedia soon.

If i see a planet with your cat's name, i will leave it and not terraform it into planet Zorg...

Same.

No clue what to do in game yet. Or the progression lvling/exploration involved. Only thing i heard so far was it's a new exploration game and the OST are well composed. (like Journey). Lets wait and see its reviews.

I already saw some utube videos of players commenting about the game. And they show some game play video with no audio. (copyrights)

Not in rush to get it. I can wait 1-2 weeks after release then make a decision. Nothing special about logging in day 1 so far tongue.gif

Just how big is No Man's Sky.

Semi convinced. I heard the map was so big, even the developers doesn't know how big it is. And they had to send simulation drones to the universe laugh.gif

Psn Asia went live around noon. 4gb download only

Honestly I don't get the hype, I played for few hours this afternoon. Kind of bored already warped to the 3rd system, explored half a dozen planets.

Let me know your planet name. I will explore and sell all the creature in your planet to the black market. I will enslave them. I will crack the core and make it into space dust.

Joke joke... I think we probably can see what u hAve done to the planet, after a Godzilla years of traveling. I will be getting my copy this weekend laugh.gif

Interesting. Is it random generated world/planet? With only 4gb game client. I presume the players will have to to load the data from server when they visit another players planet.

It says other players will be able to visit the planet that you once step foot in. Meaning if you went to one planet and left, that planet will still be in the game server record. Would that mean after 1 year there will be tons of planet saved in the server (even though visited 2 seconds) That would be a massive load on the server. Correct me if im wrong.

bought digital copy last night, played 4 hours. just visited 2 planets. like it!! suits my taste. mainly collecting items, upgrades your tools/flight equipment, and continue to explore this gigantic galaxy!!

if you expect this to be shooting game, this might be a disappointment.

if you like the freedom of exploration, flying around some planets, space, this is super huge place!! and the game is so smooth, no lag 99% time.

Good to see a good feedback on the game. And well said on differentiating the 2 different type of COD and casual enjoyment players. It does make a difference.

If u want a no hassle, no time attack, no kill frag count, no lvl/gears grind but a relaxing exploration game at your own time, this is a game for you.

that's right, i never played any 1st person shooting game because i not ready for the fast pace action yet.

this one is just for you to take your very time to explore. i am not planning to finish this game anytime soon. just sit back, relax and enjoy the journey. plus i like astronomy things, so can kinda feel the experience in flying the deep space. hopefully there are blackholes for me to see hmm.gif .

Salute captain. Your exploration outcome will benefit mancome in time to come. We might be extinct and earth might be overtaken by cockroaches in 200 years later. But I am sure our great grand sons will be able to benefit and survive from your exploration data.

Or probably you will be sucked into a black hole and all data lost never reach human and we extinct by nature. Just a saying icon_idea.gif

Doubt we will meet up or see each others planets anytime soon, apparently the "game is too popular so servers can't take it" or some other justification by developers. I would love if you could burn down my planets but you can't do anything to other players.

I uninstalled the game in the end. It is relaxing in a way to visit planets, scan and explore and all that but there are some major things broken about the game.

Ship slots - Upgrades take up one slot so ship can be improved but then you barely have any space for necessary materials and stuff to sell. Eventually skip all those green high value items because there is no space to pickup. Felt like what's the point of exploring. Unless after every landing I go fly back to outpost or space station to sell. My ship had 22 slots when I stopped (48 may be the max). They need to make the stacks bigger for materials (500 now).

Exosuit - Same issue. Had 23 slots, diligently upgraded the slots (cost 100k for that slot last time)

Planets - lack of diversity, a whole huge planet only has one environment across the whole world on various continents. How realistic is that? Flora and fauna are different but same if that makes sense. You see that same shell looking plant on that world 2 systems away it's just called something different in this world. Some are randomly generated and can look cool but it's still samesies.

User interface - talking to some dude or selling takes a long while to open up the dialog (flapping head/arms look like they are rendered from a game 20 years ago). You cannot set waypoints that will stick, once you scan it disappears. You cannot set waypoint to go back to previous system. Puzzles are like silly IQ number puzzles or random guesses based on alien language learned.

Flying & controls - The camera jumps wildly when flying near planet trying to look at things or place ship onto landing pad. Reliant on the ship, basically you are stuck to it unless you randomly find an outpost with recall feature or want to walk for hours. Need a small utility vehicle to roam the land IMO (DLC probably haha).

Biggest thing is that you cannot go back to previous systems. Ever. It feels like I'm mindlessly wandering in space with no point or goal. Sure the alleged goal of the game is to get to center (and it's about the journey bla bla) but so what it's going to be essentially the same like your starting system.

FYI the PC port has got bad bad reviews. Don't buy it.

I give this game a 4/10. It should have cost $10 like a PSN game.

Sidenote - I am an avid gamer that plays a variety of games, not a COD gamer but i do play some FPS (Destiny, Borderlands) though my favorite is RPGs and RTS. I would have been the ideal person to love this game but do not.

mochicake Thanks for the feedback bro. I always prefer to read the negative feedback than the good ones.

Yeap its true to some point that there are no actual end game goals here. Unless u have an appointment with someone in the middle of the universe. Lots of farming and selling to upgrade. Its more for someone who wants to take it at their own pace without rush to enjoy the game.

I agree with this keyword. Its gonna determine whether u like or hate the game.

I kinda like the theme and pace for No Man's Sky. Here i don't have to grind dailies, fight for top kill frag, pvp etc. Just taking the game at my own pace. Reminds me of Journey.

played this game for about 5 hours. visited several planets and the next solar system.. hmm. not for me. too much grinding for no apparent reason... and no hint of a story at all...

who am i?
why did i crash?
how did my piece of crap spaceship get here?
why arent there other humans?
and why space stations only have 1 alien inside. they also got abandoned like me?

Oh there's tonnes of hype for this game. Its just like paddly said, the game is definitely not for everyone, from what i had seen player comment on this game, its something like souls/bloodborne, either you loved the game or you despise it a lot biggrin.gif

Am still playing the game, I would honestly say it is a game revolving around repetitive chores. Either love it or hate, as for me im enjoying it.

i Just imagine myself like the movie martian. If im going to be stucks in this planet for 3 years, what would i do. So then i can explore without rush. Enjoy the new environment and just hang around. But it gets lonely after a while. I wish i could meet other no-man-sky adventurers, one day.

This game was such a let down. i didnt expect much from this game before release, but i was hoping it to atleast be playable and change my perception. universe wayyy to bigg, players cant find players. got bored after 4 hours of gameplay. mega_shok.gif

Rejoice!

With the latest patch, now PS4 pro owners get to play in 60FPS!

I'm more hyped for the framerate than all other new features.

No Man's Sky next update is here. Did a test run after friends recommended and the whole game looks very engaging and promising. Recommended for returning players.
