QUOTE(Poodlepaddly @ Aug 9 2016, 08:23 PM) You bought and play d? Nice. Doubt we will meet up or see each others planets anytime soon, apparently the "game is too popular so servers can't take it" or some other justification by developers. I would love if you could burn down my planets but you can't do anything to other players. Let me know your planet name. I will explore and sell all the creature in your planet to the black market. I will enslave them. I will crack the core and make it into space dust. Joke joke... I think we probably can see what u hAve done to the planet, after a Godzilla years of traveling. I will be getting my copy this weekend I uninstalled the game in the end. It is relaxing in a way to visit planets, scan and explore and all that but there are some major things broken about the game. Ship slots - Upgrades take up one slot so ship can be improved but then you barely have any space for necessary materials and stuff to sell. Eventually skip all those green high value items because there is no space to pickup. Felt like what's the point of exploring. Unless after every landing I go fly back to outpost or space station to sell. My ship had 22 slots when I stopped (48 may be the max). They need to make the stacks bigger for materials (500 now). Exosuit - Same issue. Had 23 slots, diligently upgraded the slots (cost 100k for that slot last time) Planets - lack of diversity, a whole huge planet only has one environment across the whole world on various continents. How realistic is that? Flora and fauna are different but same if that makes sense. You see that same shell looking plant on that world 2 systems away it's just called something different in this world. Some are randomly generated and can look cool but it's still samesies. User interface - talking to some dude or selling takes a long while to open up the dialog (flapping head/arms look like they are rendered from a game 20 years ago). You cannot set waypoints that will stick, once you scan it disappears. You cannot set waypoint to go back to previous system. Puzzles are like silly IQ number puzzles or random guesses based on alien language learned. Flying & controls - The camera jumps wildly when flying near planet trying to look at things or place ship onto landing pad. Reliant on the ship, basically you are stuck to it unless you randomly find an outpost with recall feature or want to walk for hours. Need a small utility vehicle to roam the land IMO (DLC probably haha). Biggest thing is that you cannot go back to previous systems. Ever. It feels like I'm mindlessly wandering in space with no point or goal. Sure the alleged goal of the game is to get to center (and it's about the journey bla bla) but so what it's going to be essentially the same like your starting system. FYI the PC port has got bad bad reviews. Don't buy it. I give this game a 4/10. It should have cost $10 like a PSN game. Sidenote - I am an avid gamer that plays a variety of games, not a COD gamer but i do play some FPS (Destiny, Borderlands) though my favorite is RPGs and RTS. I would have been the ideal person to love this game but do not. This post has been edited by mochicake: Aug 13 2016, 04:46 PM |
