QUOTE(Darksorrow3010 @ Nov 23 2016, 02:18 PM) so i went to Viewnet at Lowyat today. I saw two XG2401 boxes but no price tag on it and not even listed in their pricelist. so i asked the salesman at the counter and he said the price is RM 1299 actually the price of XG2401 still can be less, the floor sale person uncle selling monitor in viewnet very nice, he will give some discount. |

im about to pull the trigger on XG2401, but im in torn between that or the half of the price LG 23MP68VQ-P. both is Freesync but one is 144hz another one is 75hz only.
XG2401 Pros : 144hz XG2401 Cons : TN Panel LG23MP68VQ-P Pro : IPS Panel LG23MP68VQ-P Cons : 75hz i hate screen tearing and all the blurry image when moving fast in game, but at the same time im afraid for image quality of TN panel when watching movie cause ill watch while in bed and TN panel got some bad color if watch from some angle. |

QUOTE(pwei92 @ Dec 20 2016, 10:30 AM) some time is HDMI port and the HDMI cable problem. haha since in the market many HDMI cable noob and less copper. as i know the better HDMI cable brand is Sarowin. agree what u said also QUOTE(pwei92 @ Dec 22 2016, 10:49 AM) after doing some research, HDMI for 2k is not good. better using display port. wait for i get a nicer gc firstbecause sometime we duno the graphic card and the cable quality, so rather direct use display port. |

QUOTE(syk @ Dec 24 2016, 01:31 PM) Btw, you really need to get used to the size of this thing. I bought it last month 10-11-2016 from Viewnet for RM1150 with gst. How much is yours ? From factory settings, the colour is not really accurate. Need to tweak it quite abit to get acceptable colour for photoshop use. This thing , if you create custom resolution in your GPU settings, it can do 75hz at 1440p without a fuss BUT with a drawback, colour depth reduced from 10bps to 8bps only. |

I mainly used it for watch tv series & movies. This the max size I can fit into my computer table. Like the bigger size even color quality is not as good as my previous 27". |

My monitor is ViewSonic VX2453mh-LED.
The characters on webpage display are very small in its native resolution mode FHD 1080p x 1920, every time I need to zoom in? How do I solve it? Thanks in advanced |

Went to check out the vx3209 but it was sold out at ViewNet! Can't wait for the stock to come back. Want to check the quality of the screen.
Any feedback so far? Main purpose is mostly for Photoshop/Premier Pro basic editing work. |

QUOTE(pwei92 @ Jan 8 2017, 09:20 PM) So far so good, im happy with the monitor anyways. 32" fit 2k but the price more attract me to buy this. haha There were some mention about calibrating the colours of the screen as out of the box the colours weren't exactly accurate. Did you notice that with yours? |

QUOTE(Mavik @ Jan 8 2017, 08:00 PM) Went to check out the vx3209 but it was sold out at ViewNet! Can't wait for the stock to come back. Want to check the quality of the screen. Look elsewhere. This thing is best for moba and rpg gaming. Good to watch movie. Professional photo editing then look elsewhere like the Dell U2515h for abt the same price but smaller. Unless you can calibrate the monitor yourselfAny feedback so far? Main purpose is mostly for Photoshop/Premier Pro basic editing work. |

For Professional photo editing, VP 2468 will do the better job than VX3209-2k. since VP2468 have 99% SRGB color. almost in same price, but VP2468 will only be 24".

You are right, for photo editing I will stick to my current Dell 27". Now itchy to get the Viewsonic purely for watching movies and doing light work at home haha. |

Bought a unit of VX3209 and have tested it for a full day.
Im running the colour in native and not srgb (brightness and contrast reduced). Overall let me share some of the things i observed over my oldie U2311h. Colour wise it cant reproduce as vibrant colours as U2311h. It is good enough for gaming and etc but you might be disappointed if you are hoping it can produce good enough colours to rival the dell. Im not that picky though, i kinda like it. I cant get the speaker to work... not sure why. If i ever temper with the menu setting (as in add more settings; Setting higher response time and dynamic contrast) sometimes it will goes black for a while. Did i not mention i was running in HDMI mode. The stand looks cheap but once set up it looks great (sounds confusing eh). It is a 1.2k monitor anyway haha cant ask for much. As for gaming, I gamed on PC at 1440p with a gtx970 and PS4 pro. I didnt notice any input lag but i have only tested this with FIFA 17 and LOL. As for movies yet to watch any but i did watch running man in 720p. It looks good but you cant put it on full screen anymore. Need at least 1080p to look good in full screen. |

Bought Viewsonic XG2703-GS last week. Despite the expensive price, it is a very good monitor. Not expert in monitor but I do felt that it is much better comparing to my previous Dell Ultrasharp 24". Using it for my works and gaming on PC and console.

Just asking how do you recalibrate the colour? Is there any program which could help recalibrate it automatically? I bought a VX2363Smhl recently but I haven't done any recalibration.

I bought a VX2363Smhl recently but I haven't done any recalibration. You can go to menu, look for View mode setting. I believe should have one of the preset mode that fit your needs. ViewMode settings for digital content Enjoy excellent performance and accurate colour rendering for everything you view on this display. With 5 different scenario presets, ViewSonic displays offer best-in-class calibration techniques to bring you the best digital viewing experience. This includes Game, Movie, Web, Text, and Mono presets to enhance black levels in games and movies, colour luster for online images, and colour temperature for reading text. |

This is some photo taken on the VX3209-2k after minor colour calibration. It might not represent what I can see because I only have a lowly Xiaomi Mi5 as my camera. Bear in mind Display quality is better? I use gtx 970..and i watch movie a lot..gaming nowadays only doto and csgo haha.. |

I've seen the VX2776 review in Youtube, some stated that it has 99% sRGB, is it the same for the VX2476 model?
Does Viewnet sell online? I wonder if they can ship monitor to Perak. |

Now I wonder which is more appealing, the 27" with the full HD or 32" with 2K? hmm

QUOTE(blackspade @ Jun 11 2017, 08:19 PM) have you check with viewnet's pricelist? the newer vx2776 is selling below rm850 while the rest of the sellers at rm9xx, almost reaching 1k. There are some reviews for 2776 in youtube if I am not mistaken. 2771 is considered old it seems. |

Hi, anyone here using ViewSonic 32" IPS 1440p (VX3209-2K)?
What is the respond time you all set at monitor menu - manual image adjust? Standard, Advanced or Ultra Fast ? For the moment I set it as Advanced as I read somewhere mentioned Ultra Fast is too aggressive and generate side effect (but this is on another model). I actually seems can't detect much differences just I feel like the screen more bright when set others than standard and I need lower down a bit the brightness. By the way, below is my setting, I find it this is the best setting (for myself)

![]() its an awesome monitor with this price but i feel the brightness is not bright enough as most of time i used it for gaming, enemy hide at the dark corner can be hardly seen.(i am comparing it with my predator monitor) even i max the brightness to 100 lol.(currently use nvidia control panel to solve this issue) so far so good.response time i put standard only. |

QUOTE(angel-girl @ Jul 6 2017, 11:45 AM) yes possible. i would say very minor difference, as i have another 144hz monitor. but better than nothing haha. Some mentioned OC to 75hz will reduce to 8 Bit instead of original 10 Bit color. I didn't try on this monitor as currently my output is Intel HD 530 which I think don't have way to OC like Nvidia where can set custom resolution. I am using laptop which means only GPU part is handle by Geforce 970m. This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Jul 6 2017, 12:58 PM |

Here my screenshot. 1st screenshot is 65% brightness and 70% contrast. 2nd screenshot is 100% brightness and 70% contrast. This is mine at 100percent brightness and 50 contrast, manually add 60 brightness in game and 60 in nvidia control panel. No additional setting tune at game or display control panel which default at brightness 0% and contrast 50% at Intel HD 530. I am using laptop which means the Nvidia is purely for GPU only. The display output is control by Intel HD 530. The RGB range is Full Range (This is very important to get no wash out output). From your screenshot, IMO you had set it over bright already, the gaming feel all gone. It seems too bright than usual. A lot games got way to tune and you shall set it the object in setting only slightly appear. This is the correct setting. If you can see the object in game setting crazy clear and not near blend to the background then it is over bright than suppose. By the way, your previous monitor is Acer Predator XB271HU, this monitor is 27" QHD with 350 cd/m2 brightness, off course it is far brighter than ViewSonic VX3209-2K which only have 250 cd/m2 brightness. May I know why you change from Acer Predator XB271HU to ViewSonic VX3209-2K. This looks like downgrade from every part.

QUOTE(craxors @ Jul 10 2017, 09:08 AM) This probably the new model for replacing VX3209-2K and it is not out yet, even at USA also coming soon. http://www.viewsonic.com/us/vx3211-2k-mhd.html It looks very similar spec as VS3209-2K except much better wider color gamut at 99% sRGB with integrate speaker. It probably much expensive due to it 99% sRGB tune. This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Jul 10 2017, 07:28 PM |

Hi guys! I've just got the VX3209 monitor and can't seem to run in at 1440p. Stuck at 1080p with HDMI cable.
If I use VGA cable it shows at 2048 x 1440. My Nvidia GeForce GT 430 specs supposedly can support 2560 x 1440, but I'm not sure if it's via HDMI or the DVI port. Also the monitor profile in Win10 in Generic. Cannot seem to find the correct monitor profile online. |

QUOTE(bigbear @ Jul 10 2017, 07:52 PM) Hi guys! I've just got the VX3209 monitor and can't seem to run in at 1440p. Stuck at 1080p with HDMI cable. Using this card seems a bit over push.If I use VGA cable it shows at 2048 x 1440. My Nvidia GeForce GT 430 specs supposedly can support 2560 x 1440, but I'm not sure if it's via HDMI or the DVI port. Also the monitor profile in Win10 in Generic. Cannot seem to find the correct monitor profile online. Try custom resolution and set 50hz see working or not. Then slowly increase. I read somewhere certain older card only work in 59hz. Also if you not using the bundle HDMI cable, try use it. Maybe who knows your existing HDMI did not support as due to version issue. Another is buy a DVI to HDMI converter. Some manage to do this by set the custom resolution to 2560x1440 progressive 59hz and changed the timing to CVT reduced blank. (if your existing HDMI did not work at all). Above is I gather from internet, I never try myself. This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Jul 10 2017, 08:32 PM |

After reading so many, DisplayPort shall be the future for the moment. This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Jul 10 2017, 08:57 PM |

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Jul 10 2017, 07:12 PM) Here my screenshot. 1st screenshot is 65% brightness and 70% contrast. 2nd screenshot is 100% brightness and 70% contrast. ahh i dint know about the cd/m2, thanks for the info.maybe my eye got problem already, i dont feel its bright when its 100 on the brightness.
65% brightness and 70% contrast ![]() 100% brightness and 70% contrast ![]() yea i sold my X34A and back to xb271hu.this monitor mostly for work, but sometime play games as well. my main still the xb271hu. |

QUOTE(Ameerzs @ Jul 15 2017, 11:10 AM) Very nice bro ...would get this instead of lg ultrawide 29" After google around, I think GTX 1050 is equalvalent to GTX 960M, if yours is 4GB RAM edition, I think you still can play most the games ok. I not sure as hard to find benchmark on it. But if yours is 2 GB RAM edition then maybe more hardly.Wonder if gtx1050 can get good fps on 2k resolution seems bit hard I am using 6GB RAM edition of GTX 970M, so far can be said all my games still very playable. Off course I am not demand all games must be at 60fps, for me 30fps is playable already, 45 to 50fps is very good and no complain. Below is my average fps (from steam counter) in 1440p in some games I just test on GTX 970m. All games in maximum quality setting with 4x AA or below. In summary, I get frame drop around 10 to 15 fps compare with 1080p.

QUOTE(kcirdenk @ Jul 24 2017, 05:19 PM) Actually I didn't much calibrate for ViewSonice monitor, I just use Cool Setting. As for laptop, I tune using Windows Calibration, I not sure what is the exact value as they is only slider bar. I use Cool as I prefer whiter white but not bluish, I don't like so call accurate color as those mostly slightly warmer. |

Older cards like yours don't have HDMI version 1.3 and above to support more than max resolution 1920x1200 . Only dual-link dvi and display port can do 2k resolution. I myself is a VX3209-2k user. I plugged mine into an AMD HD5670 via HDMI, same problem like you. |

Right now considering either VX2776 or VX3209.
Do the GTX950 or the iGPU from G4560 support 2K if I go for VX3209 cus I read somewhere 2K need a better card. FYI, usage for watching movies & YouTube only. Hope bros here can help to clarify. Tqvm. This post has been edited by kcirdenk: Aug 1 2017, 12:34 AM |

Just ordered VX3209-2k from www.mycom.com.my for quite a bargain of RM1180. Also they told me that Viewsonic won't bring black color to Malaysia.

It is obvious the screen is not seal completely, else how could be so easier ants go inside. I told them this is design flaw, they don't admit, I even send to USA ViewSonic sales email (the only email I can get) also no feedback. I believe ViewSonic don't want business. Now I know why ViewSonic last time so famous but now no longer is. Probably their service always bad but I don't know only. I think the ants go inside from the side in between the black and white border, that part looks not 100% seal in proper. |

another brand is Philips Gioco, the designed that is having a fine gap between front and back cover attracting tiny black ants flocked inside. The most irritating, I can see them moving happily here and there.

Actually it's correct they wanna charge a fee as a dead ant inside is not consider a warranty related issue and Highpoint is just responsible for fault on the product not anymore than that.Heck I'm using this monitor as well and I'm really worry now whenever I see the small ants on my workstation desk....hope such thing won't happen!! Lets wait and see what viewsonic gonna do about this. |

I had try switch to 1440p using custom resolution, had more wider workspace which is very cool but the font size is kind of small in 34". Too bad 1440p UW not for me due to my laptop limitation. QUOTE(zzzhhhzzz @ Oct 27 2017, 07:56 AM) Ooh. Because this one design same as others. They is no hole can insert paper. I believe shall be ok. This model came with plenty preset color profile and plenty setting to manual set as well. Default factory I need reduce the brightness as it set 100% which is way too high. I turn down to brightness 55% and contrast 70%. Even though this model is not a real 8 bit (6 bit + FRC) but I can't see different (lucky can't) with those real 8 bit panel. As usual no banding issue. Colour output is very solid and I manage to tune to similar color as my another monitor. |

QUOTE(anangryorc @ Nov 19 2017, 09:17 PM) From what I google around, I think only real 10 bit display can choose 10 bpc. If the panel is 8 bit + FRC, it still is a 8 bit panel and cannot choose 10 bit.Correct me if I am wrong. Wait your test out to confirm. Haha! |

The other forumer is able to get 10bpc in the options, I'd assume GC still sends 10bit signals but monitor does the dithering.Correct me if I am wrong. Wait your test out to confirm. Haha! https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3956883/+20# Yeah hopefully dp does the trick for 10bit or 75hz. This post has been edited by anangryorc: Nov 20 2017, 09:32 AM |

QUOTE(craxors @ Nov 20 2017, 01:06 PM) The VX3209-2K can push to 75hz, I did before but it became a bit weird color and font look funny. Now my VP2468 totally cannot overclock. I had no issue overclock my BenQ or even change to not native resolution of 1440p in my LG 1080p monitor. I find ViewSonic is the most hard to OC compare with others. |

Anyone with the Viewsonic VA2419-SH?
Would like to know your experience with this monitor. Been eyeing it to replace my 9 year old HP monitor for daily usage (gaming, browsing etc) |
