After google around, I think GTX 1050 is equalvalent to GTX 960M, if yours is 4GB RAM edition, I think you still can play most the games ok. I not sure as hard to find benchmark on it. But if yours is 2 GB RAM edition then maybe more hardly.

I am using 6GB RAM edition of GTX 970M, so far can be said all my games still very playable. Off course I am not demand all games must be at 60fps, for me 30fps is playable already, 45 to 50fps is very good and no complain.

Below is my average fps (from steam counter) in 1440p in some games I just test on GTX 970m.
All games in maximum quality setting with 4x AA or below.

In summary, I get frame drop around 10 to 15 fps compare with 1080p.

  • Doom - 35 to 42 fps
  • Grim Dawn - 60fps
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider - 25 to 30 fps
  • Metal Gear Solid Phantom of Manage - 37fps to 44fps

Actually gtx 1050 is 50% better than gtx 960m in term of performance but lower than gtx 970m laugh.gif
