Hello good day guys! Just want to introduce myself Im Ku from Penang currently driving standard manual Persona... all in all im satisfied with it..just that i dont like it being too tall.. else everything is good... I'm currently bench marking this car against my wife's Iriz..

Nope.. i went for Gab coil.. opted for iriz coil for front and saga's for back because it is not as low as iriz for much higher clearance without compromising comfort... all in all rm400... i installed it at a performance shop in sungai petani

i just changed the small light to an led.. 😃

regarding the speedo issu the 15 inch tire did make the speedo faster... im currently using 17 n when put the meter against the gps the reading is accurate...

thanks bro... I've been eyeing this car since it's prototype iteration... other than rattle problems everything is good..im currently in service centre for first service n hopefully patch all of the rattle problems

current setup is 205/45/R17

just an led to the small guide lamp wont be a problem...its not that bright bro.. if u look in lelong it will cost only rm20

i did tried some manuever before n after changing to really put the esc to test... result is same..still under control..both with esc n esc turned of


as for fc... yes.. bigger roll surface translates to higher fc.. n its heavier too.. the best thing is my fc is almost on par with auto persona because the kerb weight is almost the same now

yes it does improve the ride and handling..suffers just a tiny bit on fuel economy

black car : just went for wax

red : nano coating costs a bomb.. more than 2k

DASHBOARD RATTLE PART 1 DIY HOW TO SOLVE

For those who knew.. these problem is inherited from the previous gen iriz... The rattle primarily came from two places which is:

1. The end of the dashboard where it meets the windscreen
2. both A pillar (particularly around the glass)

other honorable mention

1. Behind the double din where a big cable sits and not padded.. it is as big as the vga cable head
2. inside the hollow area on top of the meter.
3. Some loose wire around the pilot cockpit (on top of the paddle)

I have been trying to d.i.y myself to rectify the problems (mind you that im using a sport coil so the ride is stiffer) here are some of the method i used to solve it


METHOD 1
1. Put a rubber seal around the dashboard

u can buy this stuff in lelong.. i think the price went up already

2. This is another fix that will usually be done by proton sc (mind my husky voice)
u will be needed to open the a pillar cover to do this (trust me its easy)

PERSONALLY IT WORKS FOR MY CAR..NO MORE RATTLE.. DRIVE IS MUCH MORE PEACEFUL NOW EXCEPT FOR THE WIND NOISE ... DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISKS

that extra cable is for the premium head unit...it transfer data from the ecu straight to the hu..n yes that is the big cable i meant

1. I bought the rim with hankook v2 tires cost me RM2600

2. Nikon D600 with 50mm 1.4

actually it is not that hard to open the cover..once u know where the clip sit its easy

just look for iriz armrest..its the same size
