everyone complaining its slow pickup, you praise it by saying pickup very good..
and it's 4-speed conventional auto gearbox btw.
*
it does feel like CVT though
very similar to Mazda autobox that replicate the CVT linear pickup rather than older autobox that let you floor it and make the engine scream while accelerating.

anyone here manage to redline the bezza?
it seems even if I push it hard until 150km/h
the rpm won't move past 4500rpm and the fc at 140km/h will be at 17km/L.

anyone noticed the seating height is higher than any other sedan on the road... it is just slightly lower than an avanza. I can actually see what's infront of a pickup truck when I'm following one.
*
They pump up the bezza seat from the axia to give back passenger move foot space.
Afaik it's not very comfortable for taller drivers.

I thought driving 90-100km/h is myth, my xgf would drive 90-100 in housing area, n i would scold her for driving so fast, she said to save petrol.
*
to me it depends on the type of fuel
the lowest I can get out of iriz is 4-5L/100km

if use BHP, the figure appeared at around 80km/h
shell at 90, petron at 110, petronas at 70

so buy the correct fuel for the journey?

I would said it quite stable if u maintain at 120-130km/h. The floating feel might due to suggested tyre pressure 250kPa is too high. I changed to 230kPa is more stable for high speed. smile.gif
*
I find that leaning on the headrest and control the steering like a go cart helps. but still it's too floaty at high speed, too bumpy on yellow lines.

wonder what proton secret sauce is. is it the spring?

QUOTE(Tikki Mikk @ Aug 23 2016, 05:50 PM)
I think it is unfair to compare the lower range of Bezza with the new Persona, in fact even the Advance 1.3L(50.8k) variant is comparable to Persona's lowest auto variant Standard CVT 1.6L (50k). Just minus the keyless push start, foldable side mirrors, gps touch screen multimedia connect phone thingy. I was really interested in Bezza, somehow got my mine set on it since I'm very happy with my old MyVi. But looking at the Persona specs really gives me a change of heart despite the potong issue. Now still struggling to decide which one to choose, I thought gonna go for test drive in August but blink eye 3 weeks already passed, holy cow.

Also any sifus can please help out a newbie here regarding engine and fuel consumption? Bezza's 1.3L claim to be able to do 22km/litre, while Persona's 1.6L only roughly 16.5km/litre.
My question is, I travel between KL and Rawang a lot due to work, but I'm also using the car as a family car (4-5 passengers) when I'm in KL on day off and weekends. Giving such scenario, where 50% of the time I will be travelling long distance alone, and 50% of the time driving family around KL, which car/engine do you think is more suitable for me? Many thanks in advance.
*
both your FC will not achievable. personally, bezza I can do 17km/l while iriz is 7.9L per 100 km.

both are also okish for family, I felt like the persona seats is different from the iriz, it's far shorter and narrower. so in bezza you got less cushion but a headrest, persona got more cushion but a shorter seat with no headrest. bezza has huge long footrest, iriz has wider. both also will hit your leg.

on the looks, bezza has ugly back while persona has ugly sides. bezza work great as city car not so much on highway, my iriz is the complete opposite. I try pushing it but bezza don't like aggressive driving, proton is for aggressive driver at low speed you likely be annoyed. fun is the proton but perfection is the bezza.

bezza services is rm200 per 10k km the persona is free but probably they would only provide mineral oil so still need to add the price if want better oil. also despite proton having far better steel but bezza score higher at ncap

both car are complete opposites of each other. can't go wrong with either. both aren't perfect and you only see it once you ignore whatever SA says and make a judgement yourself. so better ask yourself what characteristics you like in a car. a nimble quite fuel savings car or bit loud, stable at high speeds bit bad fc car.

not all cars have problem, but proton known to have higher percentage of lemon cars.
*
It's maybe true before
But not now though

QC is good now that everyone almost got the same car. The problem is inherent in design. Just like all iPhone 6+ can bend.

P2 has Toyota and daihatsu too relied on so they make less mistaken in design

i have told that, bEzza must use gear up kit in order to hide the bontot thingy.
*
Gear up is quite expensive and styling not to my liking though
Am waiting for good 3rd party or 1.5 variant defuser.
Or something mega size like these

new persona

[attachmentid=7423229]
our bezza
*
none is better

hidden components WAS an industry standards but with the launch of the new civic, messy is in again laugh.gif

only jelly because new persona rear diffuser and spoilers are really well design rather than gearup

I am sorry... I just really pissed off.. I am not rich... Even this car is far streched for me... At first i just wanted tobuy a second hand car...this car price is equal to my 5year salary without any deduction... Since its a new car i been driving like a girl... Never even once i bring it over 80...been washing n waxing every 3days...its a brand new car! ... If something is loose...i suspect it might happen again even after repairing.
*
it's normal for every car to make rattling sounds
proton has it
Honda has it
axia has it
my bezza has it

personally I think mine coming from the back door or the c pillars. either a loose panels or need more rubbers

The possibility of the 1.5L models having different face is high though.
P2 always make different face for different variants

Have a feeling it will look like this

Hello All, just join and been reading all the post. Still deciding to get Bezza or not, probably in the next few days. It will be our 3rd car and the runabout car as our two others are MPV. Got a big family. Wife seems to have set her heart on the Blue one but I heard it is the popular color. Thinking to get the Advance version

The higher back is to both accomodate the big boot and better aerodynamics for the car so you get good FC at highway speed.but personnaly just think the wheel size is just nor proportionate to the the car shape.

Did anyone install aftermarket DRL and also have anyone did a bypass the multimedia player so you can watch while the car is moving.

Hopefully will join the Bezza family soon.

Btw proton TIV never met volume for cost of tooling which is 200,000-400,000 unit sold. Proton also hutang sama vendor glass which i am working right now at least rm1.5million.  Still not paid until today. Cost of tooling which we had bought still not being paid since proton ijoo sedan, hatchback,SRM, WRM41,WRM44.

Perodua myvi has already met volume for cost of tooling    which is had sold 580,000 unit from the launching 2005. The love of the nation.

Axia also now in the midst to achieve 260,000unit sold at the matter of time.

Who working in the automotive lines TS16949 will know when dealing with proton as a supplier. Hahaha.
*
So what comes next for P2?

Will they bring in cayla?
I hope they can make a mini chr though on top of axia platform

As i said before, next year launching d20n (all new myvi), then follow by d88n (axia facelift), plus all new alza. Every year got 1 new model (targetted).

Cayla, or whatsoever no such things to assemble here because if mr president and CEO /MD decided to bring over this unit, it will cbu from daihatsu plant indonesia, same as all new avanza which now being assembled from indonesia.

Certain models will be assembled by daihatsu plant indonesia, certain model will be assembled by Perodua ECO plant PGMSB, they will exchange export and import point to each other when needed. For example current myvi d54t is being assembled in perodua sg choh and the export to indonesia as Sirion for indonesia market.
*
thanks smile.gif
anyway, I thought sienna already fills alza shoes?

that would be odds, because I thought bezza was made an A segment to avoid it competing with vios

Not sienna la bro...hahaha...its sienta. Sienta is not alza replacement, this car is global car for asian / asean region. Japan has this car also of sienta using different engine from 2nr-fke (1.5L dual vvti atkinson cycle), malaysia indonesia thailand only got 2nr-fe (dual vvti) only.

Alza is only made to be sold in malaysia and certain country only. Thats why when you go to indonesia, you wont see any alzas there...haha... My friend from daihatsu indonesia when came to visit here, he was looking weird when saw an alza. He said this car was not produced from indonesia plant, he thought it was ertiga (suzuki) at first sight. Hahaha...

Anyway, good move from perodua.
*
well I guess it's hard to sell a wagon in Indonesia. they like high mpv probably because of the road. just like we love wagon type of mpv because it's allowed us to speed on the highway.

since Toyota don't care for market cannibalization because Toyota is the "premium" brand here. they should totally do a b segment sedan and SUV. Honda is making a killing selling those

anyone with floating issues (car sway left and right at highspeed)? or this just normal?
*
normal for any perodua and most of Japanese car.
the suspension setup is for comfort and not performance

to counter it, lean back on the seats straight up your arm and drive like a go cart. don't try really hard to over adjust so much. relaxes a bit and trust the eps. it's seem floaty but if you let it go it will go straight

I find my sister like to over adjust and it make the car sway more. also for better FC, always set the MID at instant FC and adjust your foot accordingly. I also noticed my sis FC is worse than me despite she drives slower,

Proton claim Persona sales been overwhelming, but after almost 3 weeks i havnt see a single persona car on road, bezza after 2 days launch i already see one sugar brown on road, i keep looking for it but mistaken for older civic, iriz, ford feista and old city.
*
P2 had a stock of 7000 cars when they launch
Afterwards they produce 10000 cars per month
P1 from k/ deepthroat only has finished 600 car till today

Anyway enough bout P1
Here's a video to further understand our cars

Driving bezza at higher speed doesn't make the steering 'heavier', that my feeling and experience.

Bezza steering is lighter compared to my alza
*
Alza use hydraulics though

Personally it's even feels lighter than axia
Probably they did it because people are complaining that axia EPS is heavy at low speeds
