QUOTE(drumstix @ Sep 22 2016, 05:13 PM) Hi guys. My flavor seem to "lari" a bit. Any ideas why? Used to use dripper. Which has better flavor and better smoke amount It's been ages since I last played with the Zephyrus v1 so I'm working from memory, but here's what I can suggest:Zephyrus tank 10.5W 0.5 ohm 28 ga nichrome Suspecting it's the high ohm. But would like to ask the sifus here 1) Up the wattage to 18-23W. Experiment! 2) Space the 2mm ID coil. Remove one wrap if necessary. And adjust the height between coil and air inlet. Again you'll have to experiment to find the sweet spot; 2-3mm distance worked for me. 3) Speaking for myself, I preferred 26ga nichrome to 28ga. The latter somehow caused the flavor to be "flatter", lacking in the middle notes. IMO a dripper will have a more intense "in your face" flavor compared to the Zephy v1(which is very good for less furious smooth and gentle tokes). One of these days I'll dig it out from the storeroom and try it with 26ga SS and supima cotton. |

Which has better flavor and better smoke amount its not the high ohm, its the low power u used to head up the coils..Zephyrus tank 10.5W 0.5 ohm 28 ga nichrome Suspecting it's the high ohm. But would like to ask the sifus here ur optimal wattage range at full battery capacity of 4.2v = (4.2*4.2)/0.5 = 35watts.. set ur wattage at 35watts, if its too hot or experiencing dryhits, lower the the wattage until u get the sweet spot.. |

Very stressful.
TFV8 tank leaks badly. I've been testing even with plain water (sacrificed one brand new V8-Q4 coil for the test). I saw the plain water not dripping, but streaming out from the air holes. Anyone here who is using TFV8, u guys use the replaceable coils or the RBA yah? I'm thinking, with the RBA, there might be no leak. Is what I think, is correct? |

Update = changed the white - colored fill port.
No leaks at the moment. TQ TristanX and mi-g for the assistance. Weeeeee so happy now hehe. A bit disappointed because for a brand new atty that's only one day old have to change one of it's parts. Now the question is, where can I get the parts once the fill port currently installed goes kaput? This post has been edited by poyo: Sep 23 2016, 12:56 PM |
