Just curious. I never run anything so hot I would need a heatsink myself... though I might need one if I ever wnna try running 24-25mm tanks on my tiny Pico.

For me my tank don't really leak down (The 'Cado doesn't really leak, but it spills sideways when stuff *does* come out) so it's not much of an issue... though it used to a be problem back when I was running the GobMiniV2.

Anyway, really liking the Schwartz Naked100 Lava Flow I just got off auctions... so much that I'm trying to get even more lol. It's a killer ADV in my book, and works extremely well with the SS setup in my 'Cado.

Hopefully my latest bid goes through.

24mm is actually ugly when sitting on 22mm, but who cares?

I'm doing 316l SS as of now. It's dry burnable (as long as you don't overdo it). It's vapable in power mode. It tastes relatively clean. It's readily available (in straight and clapton forms). It's easy to work (and play) with. Finally, most SS friendly TC chips are set for use with 316l as well.

Cons? It needs specific SS capable chips/mods for TC, and even if the mods are said to be SS capable, it needs to be sensitive enough for 316l's low ohm/temp characteristics... and often you need to run your coils spaced for "proper" TC.

That said, there IS a way to trick *some* Ni/Ti TC mods into TC-ing with SS. Here's something I pulled off Reddit:
*50j is about 50w for other mods.

Ni only TC mods need to be run at 40-60f to be able to TC with SS, so it's gonna be quite hard (especially with the DNA40, which only does 100f minimum) but it might be doable.

Keep in mind, the "trick" isn't gonna give you "proper" or "accurate" SS TC, but at least it'll work.

As for Nickel, personally I'm not a fan. It's hard to build with, you can't dry burn it without risking meltdowns and when you vape it in power mode by accident, you might get some weird toxic crap in your vape (generally still debated, but has some basis in truth).

Similarly, Titanium (TiO fumes = bad). But at least Ti is "dry pulsable" (you can dry burn it in very short bursts) and it's easy to work with so for me that makes it better than Ni already.

So yeah: SS > Ti > Ni for me. Either try out the SS/Ti trick, or just use Ti (but remember to ONLY dry pulse it).

gunners_my Been looking at that too. Should be pretty meh everything considered, but the ease of recoiling + low costs could actually make it a breakthrough design... as long as it performs decently enough and not leak everywhere.

Interested in getting one for my technophobe dad if it works okay. The JT OCCs for his Tron gets quite expensive after a while.

He doesn't rebuild and can't be bothered to. Neither is he even fussed enough to go to a bloody shop to recoil.

Plus, I'm not close enough to be of any use if he has issues with rebuildables. I already tried once, it ended badly (e.g. he stopped vaping for a while).

Tried it as it already in VE for sale at RM120. The notch coil that came with it is goody. Wicking is a breeze, its definitely a flavour tank. Just you need to understand that there is no RBA. So you may need to depend on the notch coils, VE will bring in Portals Notch Coils at RM28/pack. But i am not sure how many coils in there.

However we went crazy and try to make a leadless coil for the tank, we manage to make contact and the coil fire up but not to our expectation because somehow there are lot of gurgles and spitback which is not happening if using the notch coils. We will try again more.

The notch coil ohming at 0.3, at least the one that we tested. I checked with VE today, Portal's Notch Coil already reach, RM28/pack contain 5 notches.
Portals claim that the notch is around 0.25 ohm.

So far during testing there is no leaks at all.

Its SS316L, can be fired on both TC and Power mode.
