I don't think that's a good rate. For a 5 yr loan, u should have negotiated for a better rate. Maybank generally doesnt offer good hire purchase rates compared to CIMB and Affin as their core business focus is home loans.

I got 2.75% for a 9 yr loan from CIMB and that too as a guarantor. If direct owner, I would have been able to get 2.70-2.71%. And that too for a 9 yr loan and before the recent drop in OPR rates.
