How are you enjoying the car? It should be a very fun drive!
Did you manage to check if there was the lane assist feature inclusive with the lane departure warning?
*
initially enjoying..
but then just after few days got rattling sound already from dashboard, CKD QC no pass man!

there is no lane keep assist, Mazda marketing and customer service is epic.
they printed on the brochure with lane keep assist, but when I asked in Mazda Malaysia FB, someone from customer service called me and told me after they check with technical team, the car actually comes with lane keep assist.
after few days, another person from sales department called me and said actually the car does not equip with lane keep assist, only lane departure warning.. I was like ... what xxx xxxx...

so conclusion, the car is equip with blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, smart city brake support, lane departure warning and adaptive led headlamp.

no lane keep assist, no traffic sign recognition, no radar cruise control.

Most likely no.
Drive the car more, as it ages, the part will "set" and the rattling will be gone/much reduced. That's what i experienced.

Here is something to think about about the features that you highlighted ;
1) Lane keeping assist : our JKR don't have consistent size and distance to make this system full proof, certain areas will be blurred or totally don't have lines. Better to rely on your eyes and hands.
2) Traffic sign recognition : most drivers don't even give a damn to signal to turn or change lane, do you really think people will pay any attention to the traffic sign? No point needing this in our roads.
3) radar cruise control : high spec yes, not sure about GL. But can feel a little hairy/weird, i rather use my own foot to brake.
Try to restart the car and wait it out.
*
bro or sis?
1) Lane keep assist is useful when cruising on highway, not in the town.
2) If everybody think like you then this nation will be in chaos, I hate those ppl who never know how to obey rules. Rules are created to keep the society in order, so obey it lah.
3) I am talking about Radar Cruise Control, in other brand they call it adaptive cruise control, not the normal auto cruise control.

1. Is there any car within RM 130k has this feature? Hmm.. Let see if someone could name them..
2. He was trying to tell there are drivers out there who dont give a fxxx to all these road signs. Not him la...
3. Radar cruise control, it has been debated a few times before. With relation to the driver's attitude, who likes to zig zag in out suddenly, the radar cruise control might creates more issue rather than assisting. No doubt, if it is available, most of us would appreciate the feature too. Unfortunately..  bye.gif

Btw, enjoy your new ride. I have not seen any GVC model around my area yet.  rclxm9.gif

1) Hyundai Ioniq
2) I know there are a lot, we as part of community should promote the positive impact instead of negative
3) ya, it's good to have feature

Too bad, I was hoping there would be lane assist. Lane departure warning I feel is annoying and does not do the job as effectively as lane assist.

I think with Japanese CKD cars it is expected to get some annoying vibrating sounds. Let's hope mazda's service centers are cooperative in resolving these minor issues.

By the way, is there still the infamous tire roar that a lot of people experience in the previous models or has Mazda improved on the NVH in this area?
*
ya, hope they can resolve my rattling noise with 1 visit..
Tyre sound is noticeable with the 18 inches wheel but not to the annoying extent lah.

traffic sign recognition i think need to activate it in gps, have you tried to discover your gps functionality? even the older model can set warning when over speed limit, but then it is very annoying though

lane keep and lane departure is just good to have for me, cant rely them on semi autonomous driving even for long distance, especially on malaysia road, sometime it give out warning because of those confusing line on the road when got construction at the road side
*
I can only say most of the time it is a good to have and useful features, period.

I think some people had the misperception over these sensing features.

We want it not because we want the car to drive itself or we expect the car act or steer like human beings.

I want it just because it can help me to reduce unnecessary/unwanted accidents. For me even with these bonus features, eyes still on the road, hands still on the steering.

You must be stupid enough to expect that you can put your hands off and let the lane keeping assist to steer itself.

Why I want more safety features just like how you want more airbags in your car. To let you "feel more safe" when driving the car. Kalau airbags ada 10 I also will sapu all 10 bila triggered kena macam balut dumpling.
*
Ya man, why pay more for kosong car when the same price you can get more features to assist the driving and to be safer for you and your family right?
So many airbags ah, later people will say takata case, airbag could kill you also, haha.

Imagine if someone behind u fall as sleep when driving, but the lane assist trigger the steering and wake them up, then it will reduce 1 accident cases , and it not fun where other human mistake and hitting u, u have go thru the polis report here and there , wasting alot of time

What if human mistake and take 1 of ur family life, argg i really wish those feature can be standard for all car in future
*
it should be made mandatory for all cars.
too bad the enforcement is slow..

*
production line so limited? this is the most wanted colour I think, how can they produce so limited stock leh.
but CKD QC really questionable.. better not rush them..

Exactly and I'm just wondering... if it's a popular colour, why aren't they producing this colour in June and July? My journey of owning a Mazda has not been pleasant or smooth, quite disappointed with Mazda and SA. I hope after-sales is better...
*
so far, their SA really need a lot of improvement, customer service so far very responsive, but knowledge also need improvement.
their website need a lot of improvement, their app also need a lot of improvement.

QUOTE(amduser @ Jun 6 2017, 12:13 PM)
dont expect skyactiv to have performance potential like other engine with turbo charged or old vtec engine, there are not many tuners here research thoroughly on tuning skyactiv engine, in other country like Taiwan or US they got more skilled tuners who really go deep in tuning skyactiv engine.

there are performance parts designed for skyactiv, but the price is not cheap though, cant compare with those mods for local-made cars
i dont care about SA after i get my car, but my SA still offer to help me to renew my roadtax and insurance

as for after-sales service, depends on SC, bermaz sc should have better service compare to other non-bermaz sc, we do have some sc that has been blacklisted by other member due to poor services laugh.gif

but so far we dont have major issue that need us to leave our car in sc for few days
*
mind to share which is the blacklisted SC?
if cannot post here maybe pm? hmm.gif

so far we blacklisted kepong sc, for me i dont like sg besi sc, because very hard to enter and exit the sc but they dont need booking for regular service, which is good if other sc is fully booked
*
thanks for your info, I think I saw bad comment about kepong sc previously .. forgot from where... hmm.gif

Just asked the sales rep. He said CKD models don't have GVC yet. Only CX3. Only CBU has the GVC. So I'm guessing yours in CBU unit?
*
better call HQ and ask.
nope, ours is CKD, no CBU for M3 in Malaysia.. unless Mazda Labuan not under Mazda Malaysia...

Noob question:

Pay balance after checking car. This is referring to the downpayment?
*
from my experience, paid everything before they register the car, no chance to choose the car before payment, not like buying other stuff.
