nope. but did mine on SC n they charged rm90 for it

rm90 to rotate your tyres? You could have done it at any tyre shop for 20 bucks or less!

No worries, i have changed mine to continental 225/40/r18. Quieter and more comfy ride than before the toyo tyres eventhough i had lower the thickness, it doesn't effect to speed accuracy and the braking. Meantime i had changed an aftermarket battery, the battery just costed me rm330 gst+installation and suprisingly the i-stop works perfectly! Guys, next time do not need to change to Q85, it may burn a big hole to your wallet!
*
You mean you changed to an ordinary battery not specifically designed for i-stop but the i-stop still works? What make and AH is that?

I am right here at Bermaz HQ. Paid for the battery and the SC manager gave me 15% discount. I will still insist to file a complain, I hope all owners in this thread please inform your friends or family on his issue. Making noise in this HQ will not do anything but I will need to raise in to Some consumer body , MCMC perhaps?
*
How much did they charge you for the battery? You can get i-stop battery for about RM500 outside.

Why don't you guys just trust what the SC tells you that there is no need to change the ATF for life? They are guaranteeing the car for 5 years and I'm sure they have taken into account local driving conditions. Not to say that there are no traffic jams and start stop traffic overseas.

but arent the istop and car batt two seperate batteries that work independently?
im still able to start my car without issues although the istop light is orange blinking and warning sign logo is out.

WHat if i permanently want istop disabled without a batt?

I dont see a point of needing to change the istop battery to only manually disable the feature everytime i start my car.
*
The i-stop error is an indication that the battery is already too weak to support i-stop. It may still be OK for starting but you should monitor your battery health to ensure you don't get stranded from a weak battery.

hi, is it worth it to get used m3 cbu 2014 at 90k? mileage only 30k. need advice  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif
*
Not worth it in my opinion. You can get a new 2016 GL spec Mazda 3 for another RM15K more or maybe cheaper.

what i dont like about the GL is the aircond dial to basic & no leather seat. i dont know about other features. sumore, this cbu unit is soul red. thats tempted me  sweat.gif  sweat.gif
*
The M3 GL spec now comes with leather seat as standard. You also get a reverse camera which you don't get with the CBU M3. The aircon dials are basic looking but you can replace with better looking knobs aftermarket. Soul red looks nice but respraying any panel is very hard to match due to the special treatment for the paint.

Hi there, I am considering on getting Mazda 3 2011 from used car dealer. And wondering on the maintenance cost per service, minor service, major service, parts availability etc.

I am wondering if getting the Mazda 3 is worth it as compare to perhaps, other brand of car.. Main concern is more towards maintenance and parts availability.. Perhaps if anyone be kind enough to enlightened me on the fuel consumption as well..

Or perhaps Mazda 2?
*
Parts availability is not a problem for Mazda. As for maintenance cost it is a little higher than Toyota or Honda but not so different that you should worry. In other words if you can maintain an Altis or Civic you should be able to maintain a Mazda 3.

But but.. I don't have Altis or Civic.. So yeah, really trying to figure out the costing.. But thanks! Appreciate ur helps!
*
For a C-segment Jap car you can allocate about RM3K to RM4k a year for maintenance not including tyres. If you get a good car it may even be as low a RM2K while RM4K would be considered a problematic car.

with 16" you will get more floating feel when driving at high speed especially on uneven highway due to the higher sidewall, if the road is flat and straight then you will definitely feel more comfortable

unless you are using UHP 16" tires then the above might not be applicable, but if you are going for comfort i dont think you will want to go for UHP tires after downsize

another thing to note is that our car is heavy, even with 18" Toyo stock tires the car will slide at some of the corners in Genting, using 16" you will gain slightly better acceleration but the the tires will easily give up on the grip

and 16" doesn't match with the out look of m3
*
I'm driving the M3 GL with 16" rims and I don't get the floaty feeling at high speed up to 150 km/hr.

pls dont go this shop to do your bk... now my bumper i think have at least 30-40 screw holes  sad.gif

also cheated me the color is black but its dark blue.... damn ugly after the installation done.... offered to remove it and i will pay workmanship but they refused....
*
Sorry to hear about your bad experience, bro. What did you install? You mean you wanted them to remove it but they refused? If there are so many holes in the bumper won't removing it be a bad idea?

is the m3 aero kit...
if u see it yourself... i believe u would remove it too bcz all senget one sad.gif ... Yes... i ask them remove it but they refused.
*
Two possible solutions

(1) Take to body shop, ask them to fix the aero kit properly and respray to same colour.

(2) Take to body shop to remove, patch up the holes in the bumper and respray bumper.

Yea i'm aware the onus is on me. My only argument is that if this is normal wear and tear, the buldge wouldn't appear all at the same time on the 3 tyres. It's not like I bumped my wheels on anything as well since there are only minor wear and tear scruffs.

My current plan is to bring to their attention which I'm sure they will not admit. Going further I might speak to Toyo CS and see how.

Last resort is to replace my tyres on my own expenses since its a safety hazard.

Hopefully all new mazda 3 owners are aware of this issue..

First the brake calipers then front bushels now this..abit disappointed.
*
I think you have a good case as the bulge happened on 3 tyres simultaneously which means it cannot be accidental damage. 18000km on tyres is not a lot. Go ahead and make your case to SC. Sometimes you have to be persistent.

Guys, how do i unlock only driver's door instead of all four doors?
*
Only way is to unlock the driver's door and re-lock other 3 doors manually. As far as I know other cars with power lock also the same.

that's the lower arm issue?
every car has it or depend on the driver driving behavior?

I didn't have the kruk-kruk sound but I have the ngek-ngek sound when going over bumps when it rains. As it only happens when the road is wet I didn't bother to get it fixed.

how long is your ownership?
the ngek ngek sound only happen during rains? happen or not after car wash?
*
Coming to 2 years. Only happens when the lower arms are wet AND when you go over speed traps. Small matter but Mazda owners make a big issue of it because there isn't much else to complain.

if i select high spec mazda 3 but i want 16 inch rims instead of 18. Will the SA swap the rims with other buyers who wanna have 18 inch rims?
*
I think it is difficult for SA to arrange unless due to luck he has another customer who wants to swap. Then again SA may just make money from the deal. It is better for you to announce your intention in the Mazda Car Club. I reckon finding a GL owner who wants 18" rims won't be difficult and some may be willing to pay for it.

The i-stop can be disabled but you have to do it every time you start the car.

All cars have to be built to a budget. The distributor has to price according to what the market will bear and what his competitors are offering. Giving more gadgets at higher price doesn't necessarily mean the model will sell better if it breaks the price point that buyers are familiar with.

For overseas markets a basic car may be offered at a basic price and many features are optional. Hence you pay for what you want. Here our CKD cars are sold as a package with no options to add or omit features so the distributor has to consider carefully what to add in as it will affect a whole lot of buyers.

just test driven the new m3 gvc, for those who get the non-gvc version there is nothing to feel regret, the GVC give very subtle changes, the driving dynamics remain the same for GVC and non-GVC, but the colored HUD is nicer, and steering is more comfortable to hold though

My friend just saved RM11K on a non-GVC Mazda 3 GL. Fortunately I gave him the right advice. smile.gif
