Hi guys, looking into new m3 hb with gvc, some question on this model since it is new for me to go for this car unless like brands T&H, here some my doubt hopefully can get some help in here :-

i) what are the place I need to take care
ii) since this is premium japan car so after warranty any honest and reliable workshop to services in pj area
iii) minor and major maintenance cost it will be?
iv) the replace part can be purchase in where if something is spoil like I c many complain issue on battery

Hopefully u guys can help here, thx in advanced smile.gif
*
It's a Japanese car. Any normal workshop should be able to repair and service it. Minor and major servicing should be the same as a Toyota or Honda.

Mazda parts can be purchased from Kemuncak Parts & Accessories but I'm sure there are many others.

Mazda 3 need a Q85 EFB battery for the i-stop. The price is more expensive than a normal battery (about RM200 more) but it should be bearable as the lifespan of the battery is about 18 months.

Yes I tried this method but no sound came out. The SA asked me to try this as well. sweat.gif

Was the key fob in your pocket? If it is there will be no sound.

One consequent of moving to torsion beam is more space at the back which Mazda 3 is usually criticized for. However I can't see the link between multilink suspension and road noise as stated in the report.

guys my driver seat's leather started to peel off. Age of the car just 10 months. possible to claim?
*
Don't think so. This is considered wear and tear. Maintenance also play a part.

You are right.
But wondering when needs re-spray, must go back to Mazda sc?
*
Even Mazda SC may not be able to get a perfect match for soul red as the painting process is so complicated. Furthermore post-painting can't duplicate the process during manufacture as the oven temp has to be lower to protect the electronics, wiring and cushions.

In other words, soul red is beautiful but a problem if you need to do any touch-up.

I own a mazda 3 CBU unit. The skyactiv model and it doesn't come with front sensors. Any recommendations and can it be installed?
*
If you are looking for front sensors which are integrated with the MZD infotainment display it isn't available here. However front sensors with standalone display can be installed at accessory shops.

auto door lock feature can install at service centre? confused.gif

Yes but expensive. There is a guy doing it for RM150 just by programming the ECU. Search here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/270151666456617/

Has anybody asked the SC to change ATF before? How much do they charge?

Is this ECU tune for Mazda 3 Skyactiv done by Torque Foundry worth it? They are charging RM1,100 per tune.
*
It looks like low end torque has undergone a significant increase. From the dyno curves alone (I suppose these are wheel figures) it should give a more spirited drive. Maybe experts like wkc5657 can comment more.

Just collected my car 2 days ago. Today I notice there’s squeal sound when turning going up or down the ramp.
Does anyone experience the same?
*
This is the tyre noise when turning on a concrete ramp. It happens with any car but you may not notice it unless you wind down the windows.

Hmm.. when will the new mazda 3 appear on road?
*
Are you referring to the GVC model or the HCCI engine?

The GVC model is already released months ago. For the HCCI engine I expect no earlier than 2020 as it will only be launched elsewhere in 2019.

Interested to get a used Mazda 3 2015 high spec, but man it's like hard to find!
*
Not many owners want to sell their cars at 2 years. Wait for another year and you should see more second hands.

Hi, may I know any pre-skyactiv model M3 owners here? I drive a 2011 M3. Looking for a workshop to service my car. Mileage 108k km. Please advise. Thanks.
*
Mazda doesn't require any specialist workshop. It's not a Continental car.

Anybody install aftermarket alarm system? I am looking to install cabin motion sensor which is absent for Mazda and to retain the stock alarm system. Not into viper or extra features. Any recommendation? Honda has ultrasonic and Toyota too. Looking for this system.
*
Installing an after market alarm system will void your warranty but it's better to void part of your warranty than to have your car stolen right?

As long as Mazda SC honor the car warranty even-though the battery (so called compatible to stock battery) is not Q85 EFB battery.  any compatibloe battery should be fine.  Afraid Bermaz just find excuses to void warrant for parts like car alternator later on in view the battery is not Q85 EFB battery.  I rather play safe then taking risk for not getting the Q85 EFB battery.
*
Yes, better get the actual Q85 EFB battery. Heavy duty is not a substitute for EFB because the construction is different.

if my car makes some sound when i turn the car 90 degrees to the right or during a 3 point turn, is it an issue?

What sound? It will definitely make some sound but not all of them are important.

Any news about new Mazda3 release? Based on their release pattern seems like will have something for 2018.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazda3
First generation (BK; 2003–2009)

Second generation (BL; 2008–2013)

Third generation (BM; 2013–2016, BN; 2017–present)
*
Looks like nothing for 2018. Mazda's schedule is HCCI engine for 2019 in other markets. If we are lucky we may get it in 2020.

That's the problem... wanted to get Mazda 3 but hesitate due to this... I really hope it is the Kai version
*
What are you waiting for? The HCCI engine won't be released by Mazda until 2019 (in U.S. & Europe) and as our Mazda 3 just had a facelift this year there won't be any new model in 2018. Even hoping for the HCCI Mazda 3 to reach us in 2019 is a stretch. So expect at least 2020 to see a new Mazda 3 model.
