Something is not right. The pre-facelift non-GVC Mazda 3 is no longer in production. The remaining stocks are being sold off at steep discount. If they send one to Labuan for you it should not take 2-3 months to arrive. What happened to the display unit? Did the SA sell it to someone else?

Hi to all Mazda owner

I'm new to this thread, and currently i am interest to purchase a new car. i'm aiming at Mazda 3 GVC high spec & Honda civic turbo. i understand that civic is better in term of rear passenger space, but this is not really bother me that much, since i drive with my partner most of the time. My preference slightly slanted toward the new mazda 3 GVC.

My biggest concern with mazda 3 gvc as i heard from many youtube reviewer is the road noise. I heard that this new facelifted mazda 3 NVH is improved? Can anyone confirm that compare to pre-facelift version.

Can anyone provide me the sound level dB at 120 km/h speed. (Pre-facelift version also TQ  ) and how's new honda civic sound dB at 120km/h also. Thx a lot in advance.

1 last question, can i improve the NVH of mazda 3 by purchasing a comfort tire? or is there any after market sound insulation modification? will this void my warrantly by installing additional sound insulation?

Bermaz HQ close this week? My car arrived at the dealer premise since last friday evening but they cannot process the car due to K1 form as HQ need to submit documents. Apparently all the admin staff in HQ is on leave   

Looks like We are in the same boat but my car arrive at the dealer already with chassis number assigned. I manage to view my car yesterday. Dealer say only pending K1 form submission to jpj custom. They cannot do anything as jpj custom is close this week. Very weird la. Dunno the documents sangkut at bermaz or jpj. Sigh

Super unfortunate for Bermaz to have their online system down a week before Raya. Those buyers thinking of driving their new cars back for Raya must be cursing them!

paddle shift will override auto got a certain amount of time depends on your driving behavior if you do cornering or apply throttle very often then the manual override will last longer before back to auto, is good enough for my usage la, usually i  use paddle shift when overtake car or cornering only

if i'm not mistaken the gvc version got slightly bigger storage area for the door compare to non-gvc version, it is a let down for the interior storage space, but it makes your car cleaner since you cant store more things inside the car

sadly no, if you want to change the radio station you can access it via favorite menu or you go to Entertainment (or press the music button next to the command knob) then you go to the Scan (or tune? cant remember) option from there you can set your radio station frequency then you can also save it as favorite so you can access it from the Favorite menu

so far there is no way to make it show the radio station name or the song title it is playing, and no tweaks that can do that for nows

cx5 and m3 is different firmware, not sure why they do that though, it will take a while for you to get used to it, but so far i have no complain on the radio station, just that it doesn't show the station name or song playing and no album artwork display is a let down

auto lock is not available under certain international safety regulation, but can unlock the feature by accessing the CANBUS configuration, need a laptop and data cable though

is it worth to get low spec m3 2016 discounted or m3 2017 gvc?

except some cosmetic change and gvc in 2017 rite? others things mostly same rite?

I get the 2017 gvc gl , if compare price between 2,  2016 will be a great deal but since it is already one year car, we must compare price for both 2017 car (not sure still got 2017 non gvc model,but Mazda website show the price) , with added around 6k u get some minor changes in appearance, interior improve in terms of cosmetic and storage spaces, improve in sound insulation and gvc system..
No dual zone aircond, gl spec just manual aircond ... No HUD also...

High spec GVC model does not come with dual zone aircond though car is small so not really necessary imo

that extra space is for the adjustable steering lever?

Just collected my GL gvc  today late late evening ( sangkut at the dealer's premise due to some documents issue ) wasn't a very good experience
1st impression the sound insulation quite good +  Audio sound system is quite good.
Also when I reach home I realise that there is no autofold on wing on the GL variant. Lol
Other than that everything is great as I just need a car with basic function
