QUOTE(peace_lover @ Jul 28 2017, 11:23 PM) ALH working super well, like it so much! Does the high beam off automatically when there is an oncoming car and on again when the car passes? Finally got chance to test it on highway, it will be activated when there is no lamp post. Very accurate and nice headlamps, even brighten the signboards! So bright, lol. |

QUOTE(jakal sombong @ Jul 30 2017, 12:03 AM) guys just got my m3 basic last 2 week. 1. Very High. Usually should be less than 100km.a couple of questions -is it normal car delivered is 150km -brake pedal squeaky/thumping sound when depress -what tyre is standard for the m3 basic ? as i got a toyo neoenergy. -budget 1.5k can get 3m tint ? before this all my car with raytech but thinking of trying out 3m. or other brand if better value. 2. Brake pedal squeaky can ask SC to put some grease. Is it thumping sound when you emergency brake? That is the ABS working. 3. Stock is Toyo Nanonergy R38 4. 3M tint is inferior to Raytech. |

QUOTE(jakal sombong @ Jul 31 2017, 02:26 PM) dang, seems like some dishonest showroom 3M may give you problems with smart tag. yup brake pedal squeaky/stonky. yup might just be grease. just curious if its "normal" any review on the tyre dry/wet ? is it at par with michelin PS3 ? 3m is inferior ??? why btw how do you enable autolock when driving. seems to be no option for basic , even the central lock button is also unavailable. also no buzz when lock/unlock. There is no option to enable autolock when driving but you can pay somebody to access the non-user accessible options in MZD and enable it. Refer to the facebook link a few posts up. |

QUOTE(jakal sombong @ Aug 6 2017, 11:46 PM) guys for full tank how many km on average can you guys go ? NVH insulation for basic and full specs are the same. For GVC model the insulation is better than pre-GVC model.is 650km a good figure. done 1k km with the car. so far im fully satisfied. only downside is road noise. perhaps at this price range the N-vh is mediocre at best. mine is basic specs , perhaps full specs owner can share if their sound insulation is better. |

QUOTE(jakal sombong @ Aug 7 2017, 12:36 PM) btw any of you guys have gap at the instrument meter left and right side near steering? complaint and they say its normal. anyway to update on my stonking pedal, its not a grease issue need to leave car for 2 days at SC dont know if this is normal or not. they said need to service servo etc as no replacement will be done. and that is after i ask to speak to the manager. as they said use it first if sound persist then come again. If the sound comes back go back to SC and insist they replace. Don't let the SC keep saying it is normal, normal, normal but once warranty expire then ask you to replace. I'm not saying Mazda SC does this but I know it happens with some SCs of other makes. |

QUOTE(jakal sombong @ Aug 8 2017, 10:21 AM) the meter and dashboard gap image . It's a very close up view so in real life it may not be as bad as it looks in the photo. If the SC won't fix it I would just accept it.This post has been edited by Ginny88: Aug 8 2017, 07:29 PM |

QUOTE(zstan @ Aug 9 2017, 08:14 AM) Labuan don't have RON 97 if not i already pump everyday rm80 for 400km is on the high side. This is about 10L/100km. I can get 500km easily for rm80. Are you on 100% town driving?FC for me it's still considered very much improved as I moved down from a Proton Exora where RM100 of fuel gives me 400km but now the M3 gives me 400km at RM80. of course don't factor the price of the car in lah lol. haha leg room still ok la. even if got baby, not like your kid will outgrow the leg room within 4-5 years. Also M3 the chairs can move down for more luggage space. Civic macam cannot IIRC. Less popular brands means there's also less waiting time to do your car service. Really hate it when I need to book an appointment months in advance to do car service. |

QUOTE(zstan @ Aug 10 2017, 08:53 AM) Yeah our petrol prices are top 10-20 cheapest in the world but people still complaint. There is no advantage in using higher RON than what your engine can accept. The higher RON is for engines which need the higher octane rating to avoid knocking (premature detonation). It will not result in better power or FC so it is money down the drain. On a side note: https://www.carlist.my/news/new-mazda-skyac...paign=fbcontent The new Mazda HCCI engine is definitely an exciting development. We can have the power of turbo without lag or high FC. The FC can be as good as 30km/L. |

QUOTE(rockets @ Aug 10 2017, 03:19 PM) About the ron95 vs 97 debate, apparently there are torque benefits to using higher ron as shown by mazda's latest presentation on their future engines which also shows the current skyactiv engine. Using higher RON only has benefit only if the engine is tuned to use the higher RON. If it is tuned to use RON 95 using RON 97 has no effect.[attachmentid=9033161] |

QUOTE(FCRS @ Aug 10 2017, 01:30 PM) I believe the new GVC is possible to have SCBS of up to 80km/h, someone will need to confirm because I've personally driven the GVC and seen the collision warning while driving at around 75km/h, a huge "BRAKE" sign in red will pop up in the HUD. The sensors were set for "early" so there was enough time to brake. Your experience shows that the GVC model does have SBS. How it works is that it will give you warning to brake if the rate of approach to the car in front is too fast. If you still don't brake it will brake for you to reduce the severity of the collision not to avoid a collision.I know that there is definitely no lane assist, just warning only. SCBS is another system which brakes completely to avoid a collision but it only works up to 30 km/h if I'm not mistaken. This post has been edited by Ginny88: Aug 10 2017, 07:35 PM |

QUOTE(konchy @ Aug 20 2017, 12:05 AM) I just saw this post on reddit talking about jerky gear changes (from 4th to 5th gear, and from 2nd to 1st gear) in their automatic transmissions. Any owners notice jerky gear changes in their Mazda 3s? I didn't notice any unusual jerks during my test drive. NoLink: https://www.reddit.com/r/mazda3/comments/6u...t_transmission/ |

wkc5657, a dead battery can actually suck up the alternator power and pull down the system voltage leaving insufficient voltage to operate the control system and accessories. You were lucky your alternator wasn't destroyed by the high current low voltage condition.

QUOTE(CSS @ Aug 28 2017, 12:11 AM) Any issues with warranty adding front bumper sensors and things like auto brek lock, auto folding mirrors etc? I was told by the service centre that even plug and play (no wire cutting) can void warranty. But they can only void warranty for related items. Some risk has to be taken or you can't touch anything for 3 years. Even doing tinting outside carry a risk. Engine malfunction problem? "The chemical used in tinting seeped into the dashboard and corroded the wires". This actually happened to one Honda owner. |

QUOTE(MissHanz @ Aug 29 2017, 01:22 PM) Bought a generic car battery in SS14 after having the battery warning light on since April (I love that the istop doesnt function..) but yeah I only went to change after my start up feels very, very weak. I know I'm playing a risky game. They initially told me to bring it back to service centre because it has the i-stop function and the battery they changed will disable that. I told them that's fine. Then they wanted to charge me MYR650 for a battery "specifically" made for my car size. I told them that's too expensive and ask them for a different kind. So they gave me some generic brand and charged me MYR477 including GST, one year warranty. iStop functioned again. Is that weird? You could have got an EFB i-stop battery for RM450 - RM500. The i-stop may work when it is new but for how long? The SC has already warned against using normal battery as it may lead to premature battery failure and alternator failure. |
