Hi yall,

1. Anyone here driving 208 gti or fiesta ST?
2. Any problems with major components?
3. what is the expected service charges i.e. Higher than civic turbo?
4. RV after 5 years

Would expect manual hot hatches to be trouble free since no dsg issues but correct me if I am wrong thanks

Must have sucked reviewing a car and going for a road trip with a non functional aircond

The best is you, go to their showroom and seek for the ownership and operating costs for these vehicles.

Not to forget aftersales service is more important and you don't want to be wasting your time going back and forth from the SC for unresolved issues.

Third year can dispose the car then biggrin.gif

My dad constantly complain about the expensive servicing cost for his Ford SUV.
And their aftersales service is not really that great either.

Test drove the Fiesta ST last week. Clutch surprisingly light and easy to manage. Overall quite easy to drive. But equipment level is so bad it doesn't even have LED DRL and HID. Centre screen is same as base Fiesta. Love the styling and performance.

But at that price, can get so many cars, and some of them are equally as fun.

I take mini cooper S anytime.

Or the RCZ Manual version. But i heard 208GTi is faster than that.

I'm not exactly a car enthusiast so I might not be the best person to give review.

I drove a Viva prior to getting my Fiesta so yea, huge difference. The handling is indeed a lot better & I have no qualm when it comes to avoiding things on the road.

Not sure what you're looking for when it comes to performance so I'll zip myself on that. Performance as in mileage? PC?

And oh, I drove the manual Fiesta. TBH, the Sports variance (AT) had some issue with its firmware. At least that's what I read the most in the Fiesta Facebook group.

Thanks for all the feedback guys.

The main question is still the reliability of these 2 cars from actual owners.

Btw, I chose these 2 not because they are the fastest out there but I want a fun car to drive while being able to be classy and reliable for normal city driving...

If u talk about nurburgring nordschleife track then, it might be logic neo can 'compete' with 200hp car, but at sepang, got a lot of long straight road, I believe neo dont stand a chances again 200hp car. 75hp difference is far too greater to cope. Peugeot or ford will say bye2 to neo during long straight road.

If he's gonna bring a RM115k Neo to a pissing contest, I'll bring a 95hp 1.4l Fiesta just to troll kaw him. rclxms.gif

I've driven a stock Neo CPS 5MT before and I do love how well it does as a driver's car and you do get a lot of fun for that price. But I've also driven the Fiesta ST....and it is clear as day the difference in performance between both cars.

If the TS is not averse to local cars, modding and burning warranties....I'd say buy a Neo then BOT it, and it'll still be cheaper than a Fiesta ST.

Hi there, finally I went with the Pug..the Ford was just too tight at the back for ppl to sit. I'm looking for a daily car not just weekend car so that was a big factor. Another factor is the suspension is too stiff for the Ford. I find the Pug perfect balance for our not so good roads. I touge occasionally and the Pug is a lot of fun on b roads.

As an actual owner myself and my friend who wrote this blog:
https://routehunters.co/2018/06/the-peugeot...-70000km-later/

We have no complaints with regards to the reliability and maintenance cost. Almost all of the faults are known and covered under warranty and not take longer than 1/2 days to fix.

Personally I have only changed the thermostat housing, the two front absorbers and that's it..66k km going strong and almost 5 years. Also note that the warranty is extended until 7 years even if u bought second hand.

Lastly, my friend who wrote the blog above have since then passed 160k km with no major faults reported.
