what's a homebrew PSP??

If you're asking whether all PSPs can run homebrew, answer is yes... cos the latest firmware is 3.03, and you can now downgrade fw even at the lastest version. (downgrade to enable homebrews... and please do ur homework, find out the definition of homebrew before u start using the word itself). Wonder what is Sony's response?
Where is Sony's Gong Xi Fa Chai 3.1FW update?

instead, update to any fw higher than that, it will allow u to play the game.

btw, if you are on 1.5, why are u trying to play games at that fw?
u must use DH to play... or switch to Dark_Alex's fw... OH MY GOD, big noob detected.

I already warned u against upgrading to 1.5x, what do u think is my reason??
1.50 is the best fw to run homebrews, then Sony came out with 1.51 and 1.52 (which includes enhanced security to prevent u from running homebrews)... so OF COS 1.50 and 1.52 are not the same !!!

since u're a noob, i won't recommend u jumping into custom fw yet... get Devhook instead.

custom firmware got 1% chance to brick...

DH is idiot-proof.

You are right in a way, bernard.
With 2.80 & up emulation, you need to create dumps.
This makes installation almost as troublesome as installing a custom fw.
I would recommend him installing DH0.46, as all he needs to do is press next next next with ultimate installer. But if he is ready to install DH0.52, might as well install 3.03OE-C.

yeah used2bcow, you can go with custom firmware if u want, but you got a lot of reading to do before u do it. Or just pay tot31 a visit.

But i started out with DH, and if noobs want my opinion, i think it's
good for them to start out with DH too. He don't even know what is a
1.50, he's asking how to play games. I think if he uses DH first, he'll understand
why he is emulating and returning back to 1.50 and that concept.

if you give him a custom firmware straight... sure, he'll be happy with his PSP.
But he will never know why he bought a 1.50 in the first place.
And he'll never know the difference between 1.50 and 1.51/1.52

just my thought... and after he tried out DH, it's never too late to move on with custom fw.
