was up all night overclocking the hell out of my X6800. used a home made cold air induction method (may i remind u, its a very chap-ayam style of cheap cooling. but it dropped my temps by about 5 degrees. ) anyways, screenies. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « the board : the test bed : see that plastic tube from above? thats the cold air induction (leads to the air cond, so that cold air is directly blown at the fan ) the results : obviously this is not as good as u people This post has been edited by DaRkSyThE: Apr 8 2007, 04:30 PM

QUOTE(Hyde`fK @ Apr 11 2007, 05:34 PM) Nforce chipset has better memory bandwidth compared to Intel. Timing? That's depend on your RAM. well in actual fact. the Nforce chip is capable of much better timings and such for the rams because there are way more options for u to play around with. some people have better results with their D9GMH compared to intel users.

QUOTE(gtghost @ Apr 13 2007, 01:07 PM) DDR1050 for Nforce is no problem for the D9GMH@4-4-4-10@2.2v, but the NB is seriously too hot for it, air-cooling is impossible for it to run 24x7. well regardless of that fact, it still managed to hit that high. i think its pretty good dont u? every NB is bound to be hot. and there is no way u can run DDR 1050 for day to day use

QUOTE(Hyde`fK @ Apr 13 2007, 07:45 PM) I runs DDR2 1000 daily on my P5N-E SLI, with 60mm high cfm fan blowing that NB heatsink though. thats exactly my point here. u cannot run it for day to day use coz u wudnt want to shorten the lifespan of ur mobo would u? and a 60mm fan high cfm is really noisy dont u think?

QUOTE(Hyde`fK @ Apr 13 2007, 10:23 PM) Noise isn't a matter to me, its not that noisy actually. As for the NB, I run it 24/7. in any case, i read that it might affect ur oc performance in the future, unstable performance, and a shortened lifespan of the board.

QUOTE(hiphop @ Apr 16 2007, 05:34 PM) sifu sifu, anyone using Asus P5B premium vista Motherboard here, can give me some advise on how to OC it? my spec E6300 P5B premium Vista board 2 * 1G crucial(D9GMH) Asus 8800GTS 320MB Raptor 74G HD 500W thermaltake PSU will using Watercooling for my setup. first time to overclock my sys. hope to get some advise from expert here. why ar eya diving straight into the pool? i mean like, u dont have any exp, and u are going watercooling? overclocking is very subjective, but the way to overclock is pretty simple. go into the bios and change the settings. that all

QUOTE(hian @ Apr 23 2007, 03:22 AM) Just sharing my result, please don't laugh. Still new in OC stuff. C2D E4300 @ 2.7GHz, Abit AW9D mobo, 3 x Kingston DDR2-667 (total 2GB), Stock heatsink. Will try to push it further once I receive my cooler. [attachmentid=221614] hhhm, 3 or 4 sticks? well, 2.7ghz is still rather low, but it would be nice to see higher esp. with that board

QUOTE(BlackThyra87 @ Apr 26 2007, 12:04 AM) normal/stock voltage is 1.32v, how u can say 1.37 high? lol 1.4v is considered lower midrange la. Mid is 1.45v and 1.5v is High >1.5v very high which is not recommended to run 24/7 unless u got super cooling. 1.5v to run 3.4ghz? lol so high. i can do that with 1.42v and 1.45v is stable for 3.4 (for me la..hehe)u can do it with 1.42? heck i can do it with 1.375 (3.55 Ghz summore) point is, its ur luck on the proc. u seeem to be luckier than the others, but dont need to show off haha coolice, nice results there beat my time argh! ><

QUOTE(zeustronic @ May 7 2007, 12:25 AM) Thanks... but i really had hard time OC it E6420@3.18Ghz onli... coz i'm not use to DFI Infinity 975X/G bios & its not very OC frenly... 1 wrong move have clear bios & OC again... I still prefer Intel D975XBX2 OC frenly... 3.73GHz, 415 x9 / Intel D975XBX2 / 2GB DDRII-1038, 5.0-5-5-15 / Cooler Master Hyper48 indeed the XBX2 is better, however the newer bios does not support ocing anymore

QUOTE(irenic @ May 8 2007, 06:00 PM) act u still can oc with newer bios, just that intel doesnt improve xbx2 oc ability in their later bios.. heared that the latest doesnt support ocing over at Xtremesystems. not sure how true that is as ive yet to try.
