Are sure about your temp? It is way too high for a non OC E6600.

My E6600 @2.4ghz running at

Without AirCond
Idle 32-33'C
Ful Load 41-43'C

Check your heatsink mounting. It is hard to believe that temp when you are using TT BTVX. Or your room temp is around 35'C+?
Bro, I planned to OC my processor later. How to overcome this vdrop problem other than pencil mod my mobo?
*
Mine 2.4GHz is 38-41C idle. From BIOS reading.
Somethings wrong with my TTBT ?!

@Gengstapo,
Can share ur temp please... u using TTBT too buddy.

updated mine with SuperPI result with CPU-Z capture...

superPI: 17seconds (1M)... is it ok?

when i try to increase my multiplier to 9 with 380Mhz FSB to get 3.4Ghz, i need to bump up my Vcore to 1.5V but then my temperature not stable using air cooling..already almost reaching 90'C at TAT...

need water cooling next liao...hehehe...
*
Hey bro.. QX6700 also have ES ??
Where u got it?? fast fast tell me !! drool.gif

Oh ya.. why dont u try increase FSB instead of multiplier? Just to test out the highest FSB ur proc able to reach. Using 8x is a bit waste i think.

This is my first time using Gigabyte's board and suprise to say it actually is quite impressive as i don't have any good experience with asus board b4  tongue.gif , definitely better than the laoyah MSI board  doh.gif
*
U're wrong bro, MSI board is damn good. Can support up to 3.95GHz. Forumer here alrdy prooved tht.
Gigabyte DS3 is good, but can still be substitute by Biostar 965PT which selling 100 bucks cheaper.

Yea, I like the Unlinked features where you can play with any value you want to. I seen from a review sometime ago that although can set any values, which will results in different multipliers, and some strange multipliers will result instability.
*
Hey bro.. ur D9 clock better with Nforce chipset? Can share some result pls. Wht is the best timing laugh.gif

400 x 9..? i'm using 1.55 too but idle at 56 dig... load is 70+ dig.... sad.gif

so i went back down to 370 x 9 at 1.375 vcore... btw, i'm juz using a artic freezer 7 pro though so if i change to something bigger i guess it might help to shave off 5 dig..
*
Wanna try to lap it? If ur IHS surface is cancave alot, then it might help.
Im gonna lap mine after exams finish tongue.gif

what the processor week ehh?

yaiks.. now is the rite time to get E6600. Price is so cheap nod.gif
Actually i think most (or many) E6600 can be o'c to 3.8GHz atleast if u know the technique brows.gif. (even my ES also can reach 2.8GHz ler, nothing special lol).
So the batch no, is not so important i think.
Neway : ) really nice result there coolice. nice nice..

QUOTE(remysix @ Apr 27 2007, 12:50 PM)
nope...that one was for 3.3g...already stable wif 1.3625v...just trying my luck if i could run it at lower vcore than that...
3.4g might be a big leap in terms of the vcore...might need at least 1.45v sweat.gif and i will surely will not do 24/7 wif that voltage...
waiting for my e66 now...and will see if the e66 can perform better than my sweet e63 thumbup.gif
*
1.36v can run 3.3GHz stable is very nice alrdy.
Most E6600 can reach 3.6GHz i think. But Dark said also depends on batch.. unsure.gif
For me i think batch no. is not so important, since ppl can still find some/many overclockable proc in every different batch. Hope u can get a nice one like coolice la.
