Another plus side of a cash only account, the brokerage fees is less 0.1% vs 0.42% (margin), may not seem much but it makes a big difference. As it is for both buying and selling.

And when you factor in stamp duty (~0.1%) and clearing fee (0.03%)

So the total fee for a complete transaction cycle is ~0.26% (cash) and ~1.10% (margin).

And you have exceed that % to be profitable.

I'm using Rakuten Trade now, planning to get a maybank trading account, what should i do?
I went to my office nearest maybank few months bck they said it only can be done on certain branches, but i cant find the list in their website.
I realize that's an application form for trading account in maybank2u, i applied for a none-margin account 2 weeks ago but still yet to receive any response. Just emailed them waiting for their reply.

Hey guys, need your help about M2U trading account. Scenario:

Premier 1 acc balance: RM1,000
Actual OS blanace: -RM500
Cash Margin Balance: RM120

So whats actually hapening here? So far i don't think i've bought more than my balance in Premier 1. So why is it showing negative balance in the actual OS balance? Please help!!

-500 mean you have been credited rm500 if this is margin account.

Erm ok. Means wadever money i have in the premier 1 account shud be the same as the OS balance value? Sorry bro, super noob here

Not sure about that because I don't use cash up front account and my margin account is not link with premier 1 account but I believe you have transfer some fund over to your margin account or you sold some shares? or dividend received?

Guys. Where can i open a trading account? Any maybank branch would do? Can do it online?

And what documents do i need?

Normally when you open trading account, it will be opened together by MIB sand they will ask you to sign the cds form and they will send to bursa on your behalf.

Sorry what i meant was a trading account. Saw mixed info online. 2 branches listed on maybank website to apply for the account but after scrolling through the posts some were able to open at any branch and even online.

You can open the trading account online through Maybank2u or Maybank Investment Bank

Which option in maybank2u is regarding the non-margin (cash upfront) direct cds account? Is it 'Maybank Share Trading / Margin Financing (Maybankinvest)' or 'Online Stocks'?

nope. i can't. from saving to premier acc can. from premier to saving acc cannot. rejected. tried twice.
