Are any of you who are facing slow loading problems using multiple APs or virtual APs?

I was playing around with multiple APs on the RGX4400 the other day and getting very odd performance problems including slow browsing. Will investigate more.

Here's a test I did a few days ago. Test is on 2.4Ghz N. Changed wifi password to ensure I'm the only one using it and rebooted router.

This router has USB ports, can we share files by connecting USB hard-disk? Network Attached Storage?
*
Kind of. As far as I can tell, it can function as an FTP & DLNA server. I don't see any options for SMB. Performance unknown but don't expect much.

soonwai are you going to make a comparison of this router and 850l? If so i would be looking forward to it

Probably won't have much of an opportunity to test out the DIR-850L. The only one I know of around my area is at an expensive restaurant which I rarely go. They're only on 30mbps so it won't be much of a test anyway.

I did find another restaurant with UniFi100 and an Archer C5 v2 so I'll probably test that one next.

Anyway, initial impressions of the DIR-850L in the limited time that I've had to play with it.
1. Damn slow web interface.
2. Can't change username, only password.
3. No SSH/telnet.
4. A few features: Shareport & MyDLink.
5. syslog support for the router log.
6. A "Repeater Mode" for which I can't find any documentation on.
7. and of course, best of all, free dlinkddns account. Hosted by dyn.com. Best thing about DLink routers.

hi bro, about the TM default free Router D-link DIR-850L and TP-Link ARCHER C1200 which one better ah ?
*
I think the TPLink should be better. Just from casual use of the two. I haven't done any real tests on them yet. The thing I dislike most is the slow webgui of the DLink.

Found out that HyppTv is using ip address 10.79.106.x
And iPhones while connected to SSID1 or SSID2 tends to get HyppTv ip address (as seen in the attached above).

Is this problem with the RGX4400 router or iPhones with IOS 10.3.x?
*
Definitely a prob with the router. Somehow SSIDs 1 and 2 are also bridged to vlan600 where the HyppTV dhcp server is.

How are the vlans configured in your rgx4400? SSID3 is a child of which SSID? Nvm, it's 2.4ghz so it's a child of ssid1.

Normally on consumer routers, by default, all wlan interfaces are bridged together. I dunno whether it can be configured otherwise in the webgui.

How do i apply Google IPV6 address to the Router?
*
What is a Google IPV6 address? Do you mean an IPV6 address that Google gave you?

IPv6 related settings are in (/Setup/Ethernet WAN/Edit) & (/Setup/LAN/)

yea... the address like 2001:4860:4860::8844...

I am on the Setup > Ethernet > Wan > Edit...

is it the ' IPv6 Wan Setting ' ?

What do i enter for the address and Gateway?
*
I presume you are talking about Google dns. You should enter that in /Service/DHCP and/or /Service/DNS Server. Look at the first post under the DNS topic.

Unfortunately I don’t have access to an RGX4400 right now to give you exact instructions.

@soonwai,

I tested the Innatech RGX4400H LAN to LAN speeds via iperf last night.

MacBook Air 13 via thunderbolt to gigabit adapter to Alienware 15 LAN port ( via additional 2 gigabit TPLink switches as they were physically 2 locations - possibly about 70-80m of Cat5e cabling between the 2 computers or more) and I can confirm that the average speeds were ~ 720Mbits/s. Max speeds were close to 800Mbps.

So it's definitely gigabit LAN ports. I will post this also in ur other RGX 4400H thread in case the question comes up.

Thanks for confirming man. Have you got turbo yet? How's the router performance?

Whats the nat throughput of this router?

jjuggler tested it at about max 500Mbps. The result is in the Unifi thread, I think. See if I can find it.
