Aiyoooo...trying to racun me to join ke? My buntut kembang oledi u guys tabur bunga on me....u know la will hapen to my driving if puji2....sure hancor one! LOL

Edit : Evo...i tried the v8 server with brands hatch v2...got to the track..but all is empty.
But i dont want to disturb Red....he is getting ready...

Probably restarted and postponed to a certain date....if i read the rules right.

While u guys were going international, i had my lonely 50 laps at Brands Hatch v2 (Never have been there before). Used my Sepang setup and learned the track slowly and at the same time learn more abt my holden.

I managed to clock a best of 1:32.9xx....can average around mid 1:33.xx

This whole FSR thing is exciting...the ACE race werent broadcasted...but the WC race is! I want to watch!

But seriously, they should think abt the number of racers allowed for a race at a time. Its a shame that a world organiser fail to realise this. Maybe they should do heats to come up with the finalist for the final race events...

I anything also can, but if its 2 races per week, i can only join 1...coz two types of racing means double the time practicing, setting up the car and all. I only have time for 1 and thats v8 which i have already started.

i think we are trying to get an equal view and thus equal POV for everybody so no one will have 'a higher peep at the blind apex on that corner'.

Even though few of us has bigger screen than the others, i think an fair and even sim environent is important.

Just my two cents...

u can get 7600gt fer rm550.....i bought one recently...played rfactor like a charm....but after OC, artifacts will appear on track....so im inversting on a zalman soon.

dont buy the 7800gs....gs is always not so good...

Raikonnen...aku mcm tak dapek gi je bisuk....terasa rugi plak...first f1 testing kat mesia... sad.gif

Yup...im building consistency as well...one hour race is tough...so yes.. i reduce my ffb also...by fighting less with the steering, u can gain thousandth...if not tenth.

Next is the tyres.....totally different approach and driving between banzai quali and full race....coz ive tried conservative laps and the tyres can last around 15 laps or so...for quali just get it hot on the hot lap is enuff...

Its feels funny how u have to really crawl when the tyres start to wear...feels like ure going really2 slow...hehehhe...

I have to thank Pitt for the setup he gave me...saves me tonnes of time trying to learn this v8 beast. Gearing, ARB, and brake bias is particularly important to understand....if not the car just wont turn in and spin on every corner exit...like i have learnt the hard way.... sweat.gif sweat.gif

Good point on the tyres.....i found that i have to turn in earlier than gtr cars, to ensure that the balance of the car is not overly disturbed...line it up nicely into the apex and hoping the car is flat enuff fer u to hammer it down as early as possible.

Turning in abruptly is fatal (yeah thats a bit of exaggeration there) coz it will cost u the balance of the car and ur tyres....unless ure a banzai driver a la Gilles Villenueve sweat.gif sweat.gif

1. I think ure too hard on the throttle. If you do that, the load will be transfered to the other side of the car too quickly. Since this v8 cars is not too low or too wide like other race cars, pressing on the gas too hard can lead to lost of balance thus 'terhoyong-hayang' coz u are trying to counter that lost of balance with the steering, which actually makes things worse.

Be gentle on the throttle...I always imagine myself driving an f1 car in slow motion when im in this v8 car...sometimes can be a bit funny. tongue.gif

2.I think braking habit also have to change abit from our gtr2 days. This v8 car is very high and not very wide. Its about load transfer too. I assume u braked too late and try too get on the throttle as quickly as possible by releasing the brake pedal. Remember when u brake, the front ride height will be lower than normal. And when u release the brakes too rapidly, the front ride height of the car will rise rapidly too thus resulting, again, a lost of balance.

I personally brake much2 earlier than i did in either f1 or gtr2...to avoid lost of balance or the car slanting too much to one side...I'll find that its very hard to do a good acceleration out from a corner without the car being flat...

Depends on ur steering angle. If ure steering angle is too much sometimes even 10% throttle can make u spin, worse if u carry the momentum from the previous straight. That can make u spin easily...

PCCrazy...if ure talking about 'the corner', then ure right...i saw hot AI drives these v8 car. Its exactly how u describe it. They swerve the car abit to one side, make sure the grip is enuff, then throw it into the corner...

Yup...its better to take THE corner from the outside...avoiding the higher pitch slope on the inside...so the 4 tyres position can be as level as possible..thus more grip.

Raced with the bots...1 hour race..completed 27 laps....i got my stopwatch to clock my pit stop, from the moment u exit the track into the pit entry until u exit the white line at the pit exit takes u approximately 46 seconds...after spending 13 seconds changing tyres and refuelling...I did a one stopper...i think its the fastest way around.

Pit stop window somehow can vary depending on race strategy. The race was fun...lots of close racing.... Tyre management is VERY2 important...or you will lost seconds per lap... icon_rolleyes.gif
