Hi, I managed to get someone to buy me SV-262HS and VF-31J Super Siegfried from Japan. So, each comes with two set of stickers. So what's the different between the two? If I'm not wrong, one is water decal, the other is dry decal? For a beginner which is easier to apply. Can you suggest me any information about them? This is my first Macross figure in a long time. So those decals that separates across panels seems kind hard to get all the alignment right. Any tips on that?

In case anyone to know, both around 10475 yen or maybe RM 422. No shipping cost required  biggrin.gif .

one is normal transparent stickers, the other is water slide decals. those macross kits is a pain with the decals. for the long run, the water slides sticks better. macross kits has too many rounded surfaces, normal stickers don't stick too good. for across plane, stick and cut with a razor if required.

Try to use the water slide decal. its more charming compare to normal sticker. I also a beginner same as you. but i can advise you to get mr. mark setter and mr. mark softer. these 2 items helps you a lot with the water slide decals.

i have done 4 kit for the macross frontier and have so much fun with them. Sorry this photo taken before i completed the RVF-25.

So, What is this mode called? Its sort of official, since its the in the anime. Its just the arms out.

This is Draken III trying to imitate the same thing. While the arms can come out, it doesn't lock on to anywhere.

In My opinion, the Draken build is really solid, much better than Siegfried. Only drawback is the outermost wing section in the jet mode.
On Siegfried jet mode, the wings locks into leg in both normal and FAST mode. While this is good, the legs doesn't lock into the main body. So if you hold it within your hand a bit too hard, it will sort of collapse, and you need to realign everything again. I think a simple lock is needed to make things stay together like the leg locking to main body in Draken III. I might make a custom lock for this purpose though.

Anyone gotten the DX version yet? Can you post the manual for it? I plan to mod my 1/72 version so that I don't need to part-transform the arms section.
