Hi, I managed to get someone to buy me SV-262HS and VF-31J Super Siegfried from Japan. So, each comes with two set of stickers. So what's the different between the two? If I'm not wrong, one is water decal, the other is dry decal? For a beginner which is easier to apply. Can you suggest me any information about them? This is my first Macross figure in a long time. So those decals that separates across panels seems kind hard to get all the alignment right. Any tips on that?

In case anyone to know, both around 10475 yen or maybe RM 422. No shipping cost required biggrin.gif .

So, What is this mode called? Its sort of official, since its the in the anime. Its just the arms out.

This is Draken III trying to imitate the same thing. While the arms can come out, it doesn't lock on to anywhere.

In My opinion, the Draken build is really solid, much better than Siegfried. Only drawback is the outermost wing section in the jet mode.
On Siegfried jet mode, the wings locks into leg in both normal and FAST mode. While this is good, the legs doesn't lock into the main body. So if you hold it within your hand a bit too hard, it will sort of collapse, and you need to realign everything again. I think a simple lock is needed to make things stay together like the leg locking to main body in Draken III. I might make a custom lock for this purpose though.

Anyone gotten the DX version yet? Can you post the manual for it? I plan to mod my 1/72 version so that I don't need to part-transform the arms section.

part-transform on the arm section?
*
The plastic model kit, the 1/72 Bandai version (see http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10382560 ), actually part-transform. You have to pull out and separate the gun and re-attach it back on the arm. If you look through the manual (http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10382560/70/19), you can see that you need to pull out completely the arm gun, pull out the arm, then reattach the arm gun to the arm. If you look at the DX version transformation, everything is connected. Watch on Youtube, DX Collection review. I was a bit disappointed that the transformation on the 1/72 version cheated a bit.

Oh, i guess i'm surely not gonna get any kind/type of Macross Delta superpacks.
*
Based on the 1/72 design, the Super Pack Booster will really stress out the joint between the wing and back and back with the top body. Currently, I just leave out the booster, it's big, not attached well and not really interested in the booster.

This one is a better video, the auto translation is good too. Beside that, the transformation, in my opinion is worse that the 1:72 version. The wing connection tilting was not needed at all. It makes the transformation becomes unnatural. Is this a flag that there will be a renewal version for the DX Draken III? The shoulder also doesn't peg into the body, so you actually got floppy shoulder after some time. Sincerely, the shoulder connection and the wings are worser than the 1:72 version.

Hi, recently form my trip in Japan, i found a brand of figures called Tomytec for the SV-262. Previously, i have only known Bandai brand for macross kits. It's also very hard to find reviews online for this brand too. Have anyone tried it? How was it compared to Bandai?
*
See the previous page, ask anykti , the scale is much smaller, at 1:144. Maybe can compare with a drink can.

wow.. ouch.. do we always have to get taxed when we order stuff from Japan?
*
Ask someone going to Japan to buy it for you lah. That's how I usually get my stuff. No shipping fee, no tax in japan (need minimum purchase to qualify), no custom hassle.

Well, a friend is in Japan right now. So I'm able to get the Lil Draken + Missile Pod for 1:72 Draken III. I'm too poor to get DX versions though.

Currently there is influenza cases in Japan though. Have to sterile the boxes first when I get them.

Its too bad that there is no armour/captain pack in Macross Delta.

What's the difference between DX Chokogin Siegfried and the normal Siegfried?
*
There is no 'normal' Siegfried unless you are talking about Sigfried and Siegfried+Super Pack.

There is a Bandai model kit 1:72 scale. There is a Bandai DX 1:60 scale. There is a TomyTec prepainted kit 1:144 scale. There are also some non scale really small one.

Thanks for the input guys. I have bought a 1/72 Bandai Siegfried previously. It's still unassembled, but then i saw also a different Bandai DX Chokogin version of the same Siegfried with a much higher price. So i was curious. Heh. So the difference is mainly on the materials and possible new features huh.
*
The 1:60 DX chogokin is preassembled and pre painted already. Take it out of the box and play right away. Its also has metal parts, different internal in some parts, and a lot more sturdier than the 1:72 version.
For the 1:72 version, you need to assemble and apply sticker (there are two different version of sticker), or paint it. You can always leave it free of sticker or paint though. I still got my super white VF-25. There's also chances that you may damage it beyond repair during assembly.

The Super Pack for the 1:60 DX is also a snap on only.
On the other hand, the Super Pack for the 1:72 Siegfried needs to be assembled, and you need to replace some of the parts from the 1:72 Siegfried itself with parts from the Super Pack. So if you want to both the normal and Siegfried and Super Siegfried, you better buy two Siegfried. If you keep on changing the parts, you;re going to break it.

In any case the DX 1:60 Siegfried not much different than the 1:72 version. The DX 1:60 Draken III on the other hand is a lot different than the 1:72 version.

For the 1:72, some of the important internal parts are so thin and prone to damage. Make me really feel like want to take that part, and make a metal diecast for it at the moulding factory nearby. If only they would agree and not charge much.

I need help. My 1:72 Draken wings got droopy already. I know I can use some glue to thicken the joint. I'm just wondering if there is any locking mechanism in the 1:60 version. Or its just a better joint on the DX version.

I guess that's the only way. Yes, the DX version has locking.

Can you take a few picture highlighting that locking?

Bit the bullet and order the DX Draken off HLJ. Hopefully no issues with the delivery; having it sent to my office in Bangsar South, which have a mailing address so long I had to 'trim' some words and spaces to fit into HLJ's ridiculously limited textbox  bangwall.gif

Owh, could have ordered it through me, I'll just charge you RM 50. My friend is still in Japan.

There's no upgrade to the valkryies? Frontier movie got more than VF-25. Any chance Delta movie will have new valkryie as well?

Anyone has tips for panel lining? So far I'm using Faber Castell Permanent Pen. Line them, and rub the excess with the eraser. I'm thinking of getting something like Gundam Marker Pen, but I have never tried it before. Seeing all these discounts on Lazada makes me want to try one.
