No issue here. Maybe just fixed. I have bought something from Lazada and purposely tried with my CIMB.
*
Yes, me too. Just topped up mobile at 12.53am via Lazada with no issue.

Some staff still bypass the pin&pay...
*
That's what I've been noticing in the majority of my transactions, even though all my cards are PIN and PAY enabled, I only get asked for PIN about 20% of the time!

I think many of the terminals are not suited to PIN and PAY, because cable not long enough and staff are fed up of passing the terminal over the counter. The best terminals are those that swivel around so they can face the customer, or those wireless ones.

should be entitled. maybe Zalora processes ur order differently?

edit: nvm then, guess already not entitled.

Feel so stupid after reading this haha. I was online shopping last night and bought shoes for RM350 using CIMB CR from Zalora because my PBB VS cashback quota ran out. Then I just read this thread and Facepalm x 10. Luckily I got the 12% new customer cashback from Shopback and used an 18% discount code so I don't feel so bad. It really pays to be read these threads regularly!

With posonline removed their credit option for payment I find no way to get cashback for my TNB payment.  Is there easy way to get direct debit set up for TNB for at least 2% cashback?
*
Pay through shopee. Sellers offer discounts on Tnb bills - between 1-2%. Theres quite a lot of discussion on this in PBB VS thread, which will give you all the information you need. I recently paid RM98 for a TNB bill payment of RM100. That's 2% discount! And got 6% from my PBB VS.

But search this thread for Shopee too as someone reported that CIMB charges 1% (if I recall correctly) on Shopee payments. But much better than Pos Online 2%.

great...thank you for the info

but i also just found out about TNB service page - https://www.mytnb.com.my/.  It seems like there is Pay function.  I will have a look once my latest bill updated inside their system and check out the payment option
*
But you won't get your 5% by paying through TNB or UOB Pay Online for example.

With Shopee you can get your 5% (assuming CIMB 1% charge is netted off against 1% discount given by seller). Worst case scenario is 4% if you opt for a seller which does not give discount.

ooh really...i thought it will.  I thought it would be like Astro payment via their website

thanks for the heads up!
*
If you do a search for TNB in this thread, all reported no CB.

Astro is different as it is not under utilities.

Mind to share which seller offers 2% discount?
*
Just checked back my transactions and my 2% comment was slightly incorrect.

markjs94 was providing 2% on TM bills (RM98 for RM100) and 1.5% on TNB (RM98.50 for RM100). Both were marked as limited promotion, and can't see them anymore.

Think we have to check regularly for the promotions.

nowsday purchase make at 11street will reflect as "name KL".
will this eligible for 5% cash rebate from cimb?
*
What was it previously?

1st page still says 11Street eligible for 5% - I don't recall anyone reporting otherwise. I have quite a few 11street transactions in Feb. Will confirm once the Feb statement comes out soon.

My refund was in, and I got charged. Was ultra annoyed. Cimb is the only bank which has done this to me.

Yes i was charged by CIMB for BT overpayment fund transfer back to source payment which is PBB.
Was charged RM2.12.

I will call again and asked why RM 2.12 instead of IBG RM 0.11 and i wasn't notified of the charges.
*
In my case I bought something from 11street and seller didn't deliver so I got a refund which was reflected in next statement and reduced my outstanding balance. I just paid the total outstanding balance to reduce to nil, but still got charged 26 cents. Amount is so small (less than cost of phoning in), but I am annoyed that they charged me even though I had no outstanding balance!

i try to pay Indah Water bill using cimbclicks, but couldn't find it in the payee list... Though it's stated at the back of the bill as one of the payment channels
*
Just checked and couldn't find IWK either.

An alternative you can use to pay IWK is Shopee. You will get the 5% cashback, but CIMB imposes a 1% fee, so net return is 4%.

hi, if i were to buy a phone from shop using my CC, which category would it be ya?
*
It would be others unless you explore options like buying online (perhaps Lazada) but you only get 5% capped at RM30).

Or....can do innovative things like what I did when buying my phone.

I used my PBB VS and supplementary cards to buy gift cards at AEON big, which gave me 6% because marked as grocery. At the time it was also a promotional campaign with additional cashback 5%. So total savings 11%. I used the gift cards to buy my Galaxy S6 from Aeon Big during a promotion.

If you do the same with CIMB CR you will get 2% grocery cashback, capped at 50.

Seem like Ambank VI is better...
survey survey first.

Yes - CIMB VI is very useless to me. They sent me it automatically when I applied for CIMB CR only.

PBB VS is an infinitely better card, or MBB Plat / Reserve since they reinstated the Amex 5% weekend cashback.
