Apparently it's currently under maintenance until further notice based on what CS told someone yesterday. Just have to be patient. |

Update:
- Received TWO supplementary cards with the same name, different card number. Have activated one, and thinking what to do with the other. - For card activation, my supp just used his registered number to SMS. Very fast and easy. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Dec 4 2016, 03:15 PM) But it has been for few days already, so if you still can wait then wait. If due soon, suggest you find for other alternative. They finally put a notice on the Pos Online login page.Hopefully it will be back soon. *fingers crossed* No indication of time frame, but at least it says temporary. |

QUOTE(karcity @ Dec 12 2016, 09:56 AM) I don't agree with that.. As far as I know, if your salary more than RM 4K/month, then you couldn't contribute to sosco anymore. No, not true. That was just excuse to reject applicant.. Effective 1 June this year, SOCSO is mandatory for ALL employees. However, max deduction is 19.75 (i.e. capped at the rate for RM4k salary). |

QUOTE(claudee @ Dec 14 2016, 11:32 AM) No - did it for my principal and supps easily. What difficulty are you having? The process is quite self-explanatory, although I found it easier to change via desktop than phone, because of the pop up keypad thing they use. |

QUOTE(claudee @ Dec 14 2016, 11:40 AM) OK, I just tried with my CIMB clicks, and I can access the PIN change functions.Sorry for this stupid question, but is this for your new PIN & PAY card? I think you need to call CS for help under such circumstances. |

QUOTE(hebehow @ Dec 20 2016, 10:47 PM) This question is best addressed here: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3644347 and depends on your income / other cards held etc. However, as a starting point, CIMB CR is a good all-rounder non-premium card that can cover bill payments, online shopping and petrol (between 2 - 5%, and depending on payment mode etc). For a more comprehensive CC recommendation, can post in the link above. |

Quick question to veteran CIMB CR users. What happens when you get a refund on an online transaction that does not fall within same statement cycle?
I bought something on Lazada in Dec and got cashback for it. However, it was never delivered and the refund was just processed today (after my Dec statement). Will they reduce the amount of cash back I receive in January? Or will the cashback reversal show up as a separate charge? Just wanted to check how it will affect my cashback quota for January. Thanks in advance. This post has been edited by lilsunflower: Jan 3 2017, 12:15 AM |

QUOTE(alexanderclz @ Jan 3 2017, 12:30 AM) QUOTE(fruitie @ Jan 3 2017, 12:32 AM) You will have cash back reversal in January. It will have a separate line for it. One forummer just had it few days ago. Thanks very much guys. That's great, then I can just spend like normal up to the RM600 threshold |

QUOTE(sj0217 @ Jan 3 2017, 04:28 PM) Just curious, why bank want to offering such promotion to card holder? This is not confirm that can be retain the customer, but still, we can cancel it after get the rebate. Between banks and customers, seem like lose-win situation QUOTE(rapple @ Jan 3 2017, 04:43 PM) I think those who took the offer have to stay with them another year before you can cancel the card.. They have to tell you in advance if there are any conditions attached.I can't cancel my ambank card because I accepted the cash rebate.. since it's a AF free card keeping it another year doesn't hurt.. In my experience, I have never been told I cannot cancel a card. The way they sell the retention offer is more like "Can we offer you XX so that you give us another chance and stick with us a little longer bla bla bla". In the grand scheme of things, RM30 to RM50 is very little to a bank. It costs more for them to pay salaries and commissions of agents to market their cards, and this is not guaranteed way of securing new customers either. Better for them to try retain their existing customers, and maybe people end up signing up for promotions (like BT) and staying on longer than expected. |

QUOTE(mitodna @ Jan 4 2017, 10:59 AM) QUOTE(fruitie @ Jan 4 2017, 11:17 AM) If I'm not wrong, MyEG car insurance will divert you to the insurance provider's portal (e.g. ETIQA etc) right? In practice, the policy will be purchased directly from the insurance provider and not MyEG. I believe that the payment will be processed via the insurance provider and not MyEG.Under such circumstances, I think it would be marked as Insurance and hence not eligible for cashback. I have NOT tested the above theory, but this is what I think would happen. |

QUOTE(FoxSeaTiger @ Jan 5 2017, 12:23 PM) QUOTE(laymank @ Jan 5 2017, 01:48 PM) I LOVE paywave. If you look at how vendors deal with signatures, in reality, there's actually no difference. The cashiers never even bother to check. I forgot to sign some of my new PIN cards recently, and the vendors overrode PIN, and asked me to sign. They never even looked at the back to compare signature. And these are for large transactions. I think biggest risk with CC is always online fraud, rather than Paywave. |

QUOTE(raul @ Jan 8 2017, 09:48 PM) just thinking to cancel this card. looks dull beside the 15% eraman discount. any other hidden benefits did i missed out? QUOTE(sonotme @ Jan 8 2017, 11:26 PM) i canceled it long ago.. i had visa signature too, so i applied the cashback which i feel is more beneficial to my spending as compared to infinite.. Nothing interesting. After I got my CIMB CR, they kept pushing this card to me, probably because got higher commission. When I asked them directly whats the benefit, they had nothing of substance to say. I never bothered taking it up because it means one more card to maintain, and CL should be very high because of infinite status. Not worth keeping in my credit records. This post has been edited by lilsunflower: Jan 8 2017, 11:51 PM |
